In AM detection system, when the ratio of the frequency of the carrier to that of the modulating signal becomes less than a ratio of approximately 10:1, AM detectors become unable to detect the impressed signal in a satisfactory waveform. The failure of detecting such a super wide-band AM signal resulting from charging and discharging transient phenomena in associated diode circuit during the detecting of AM signal, has been a cause of limiting the channel capacity in AM or FM super multiplexing systems. This Paper presents the "Poly-phase Envelope Detection System" as a suitable method to solve the problem and the analyses of the system suggested. This system will make it possible to take the envelope out of the impressed AM signal to any desired degree of accuracy even when the ratio of the frequency of the carrier to that of the modulating signal approaches unity. Experiments were carried out to verify the validity of the theory of Poly-phase Envelope Detection System by adopting the frequency conversion method from among the two proposals.proposals.

This paper presents an improved field uniformity in a reverberation chamber, that can be alternatively used for the analysis and the measurement of electromagnetic interference and immunity, with a designed CRD(Cubical Residue Diffuser) that have various dimensions. The Schroeder type CRD is designed for $1\sim3$ GHz band and the FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain) method is used to analyze the field characteristics. At 2 GHz, the standard deviation of test volume in the reverberation chamber is the smallest and has a good field distribution with a CRD of $40\sim80%$ dimension of one side of the reverberation chamber. The Electric field uniformity gets worse when the dimension of a CRD is either below 40 % or above 80 % of the side wall. The result shows that the standard deviation of the test volume in the reverberation chamber with a CRD of 44 % dimension is improved by 1 dB compared with that of the reverberation chamber with a CRD of 100 % dimension.
The high efficiency power management IC(PMIC) with DTMOS(Dynamic Threshold voltage MOSFET) switching device and DTMOS Error Amplifier is presented in this paper. PMIC is controlled with PWM control method in order to have high power efficiency at high current level. Dynamic Threshold voltage CMOS(DT-CMOS) with low on-resistance is designed to decrease conduction loss. The control parts in Buck converter, that is, PWM control circuits consist of a saw-tooth generator, a band-gap reference circuit, an DT-CMOS error amplifier and a comparator circuit as a block. the proposed DT-CMOS Error Amplifier has 72dB DC gain and 83.5deg phase margin. also Error Amplifier that use DTMOS more than CMOS showed power consumption decrease of about 30%. DC-DC converter, based on Voltage-mode PWM control circuits and low on-resistance switching device is achieved the high efficiency near 96% at 100mA output current. And DC-DC converter is designed with Low Drop Out regulator(LDO regulator) in stand-by mode which fewer than 1mA for high efficiency.

The chirp spread spectrum (CSS) technique that spreads the data signal over a wider frequency band via chirp signal for transmission has attracted much attention in the field of wireless communications due to capability to resist multipath fading signals. However, there has been little mathematical analysis for the performance of CSS-based communication systems in the multipath fading environments. In this paper, we study the influence of the multipath channel on the direct modulation (DM) scheme with M-ary phase shift keying (MPSK). When a chirp signal is transmitted on the Rayleigh fading channel and affected by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), we derive the theoretical performance. From numerical results, it is confirmed that the analytic symbol error rate (SER) agrees closely with the empirical SER.

It is considered DPSK modulation and the channel is modeled as multipath Nakagami fading type which has been recently taken as a general model in the communication environments in this paper. Most paper assumed that Nakagami fading index(m) of each branch of Rake receiver was fixed the same value in recent years. However, Nakagami fading index(m) of each branch of Rake receiver takes several value through communication environments. In this case, the branch ,which takes a small Nakagami fading index(m), exclude. So we can improve performance. We are considered phase error and analyzed wideband DS/CDMA cellular system. When nakagami fading index(m) takes voluntary value, we analyze BER of wideband DS/CDMA cellular system. Finally, When the branch, which takes a small Nakagami fading index(m), exclude, we analyze BER of wideband DS/CDMA cellular system.

In terrestrial communications, high data rate transmission can be achieved by splitting the coverage area into small cells through base stations and reusing the resource efficiently. However, the geographical features of maritime communications require the long transmission range, and it is not practical to install base station on the sea to set up the similar deployment as the terrestrial communications, so MF/HF band modem with low data rate are currently utilized for maritime communications. And the expensive satellite communication via Inmarsat is the conventional solution for the high data rate transmission on the sea. To reduce the cost, Ad-hoc network is proposed to apply on the sea, which requires no base station for the peer-to-peer communications. In this paper, we denominate this maritime environment specific Ad-hoc network as Nautical Ad-hoc Network (NANET). Furthermore, the deployment scenario for the NANET, and the analysis on multiple access and duplexing schemes for the NANET are discussed in this paper, which serves as the cornerstone for the further NANET research and development.
In order to classify Land Use/Land Cover using multispectral images, we have to give consequence to defining proper classes and selecting training sample with higher class separability. The process of satellite hyperspectral image which has a lot of bands is difficult and time-consuming. Furthermore, classification result of hyperspectral image with noise is often worse than that of a multispectral image. When selecting training fields according to the signatures in the study area, it is difficult to calculate covariance matrix in some clusters with pixels less than the number of bands. Therefore in this paper we presented an overview of feature extraction methods for classification of Hyperion data and examined effectiveness of feature extraction through the accuracy assesment of classified image. Also we evaluated the classification accuracy of optimal meaningful features by class separation distance, which is also a method for band reduction. As a result, the classification accuracies of feature-extracted image and original image are similar regardless of classifiers. But the number of bands used and computing time were reduced. The classifiers such as MLC, SAM and ECHO were used.
This paper dealt with a detection method of series arc existence which is a symptom of electric fires in low-voltage system. The proposed detection circuit consists of a high-pass filter with a low cut-off frequency of 3kHz to attenuate power frequency voltage by 80 dB and an active band-pass filter with a center frequency of 4kHz to detect only the series arc signals. The performance of the circuit was evaluated in a phase-controlled incandescent lamp as a non-linear load and an inverted-fed induction motor as a high frequency load by using the arc generator specified in UL1699. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the proposed method solved the detection error, which is being the most problem, by discriminating the series arc signal even in non-linear and high frequency loads.

With the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT), various sensors are being embedded in wearable devices. Consequently, these devices can continuously collect data including health data from individuals. The collected health data can be used not only for healthcare services but also for analyzing an individual's lifestyle by combining with other external data. This helps in making an individual's life more convenient and healthier. However, collecting health data may lead to privacy issues since the data is personal, and can reveal sensitive insights about the individual. Thus, in this paper, we present a method to collect an individual's health data from a smart band in a privacy-preserving manner. We leverage the local differential privacy to achieve our goal. Additionally, we propose a way to find feature points from health data. This allows for an effective trade-off between the degree of privacy and accuracy. We carry out experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach and the results show that, with the proposed method, the error rate can be reduced upto 77%.
This paper presents a dual-loop sub-sampling digital PLL for a 2.4 GHz IoT applications. The PLL initially performs a divider-based coarse lock and switches to a divider-less fine sub-sampling lock. It achieves a low in-band phase noise performance by enabling the use of a high resolution time-to-digital converter (TDC) and a digital-to-time converter (DTC) in a selected timing range. To remove the difference between the phase offsets of the coarse and fine loops, a phase offset calibration scheme is proposed. The phase offset of the fine loop is estimated during the coarse lock and reflected in the coarse lock process, resulting in a smooth transition to the fine lock with a stable fast settling. The proposed digital PLL is designed by SystemVerilog modeling and Verilog-HDL and fully verified with simulations.
