Background and Objectives : The goal of this study is to present a strategy for improving the self-regulation (SR) ability and facilitating the change of vocal behavior by applying voice therapy using the SR concept to the patients with vocal cord nodule and muscle tension dysphonia. Materials and Method : The subjects were 80 patients and 80 patients who were diagnosed with muscle tension dysphonia and vocal nodules. As a control group, the results were compared among patients with the same dysphonia without using SR strategies. The concept of SR before voice therapy was explained to the patients, and the treatment was divided into three stages according to the goal of voice therapy. The treatment stages consist of 1) skill acquisition, 2) habit formation, and 3) habit changes. voice therapy was performed by applying SR strategies such as goal implementation intentions and a less routine behavior. Patient's dropout rates were measured to compare the adherence of voice therapy. Results : Significant improvement was seen in all groups receiving voice therapy. However, in the group using the SR strategy, the voice analysis results showed a relatively low dropout rate of voice therapy. In the generalization confirmation stage, patients who applied SR concept showed better results. SR strategy did no longer be necessary to maintain newly adopted vocal behavior. Conclusion : The results of this study show that SR is one of the cognitive factors that can have a significant impact on the outcome of voice therapy, and also has a positive impact on the acquisition and generalization of new skills. A better understanding of SR and the development of therapeutic strategies using it will play an important role in solving voice problems in clinical settings.

This study conducted qualitative research to investigate the librarians' organizational commitment and relations between the commitment and their goal recognition in the university library context with several open-ended, deep interviews with university librarians in order to understand the relations from diverse perspectives. As a result, many participants showed low level of organizational commitment because of their hygiene factors, such as payment, incentives, relations with colleagues, and job conditions as well as motivators including characteristics of the work, sense of accomplishment, responsibility, promotion, and self-improvement. The two factors are considered to have direct impacts on their organizational commitment. Also, the research revealed that positive goal perception was related to motivators and, at the same time, hygiene factors. Accordingly, we concluded that librarians' perception of goals are closely related to both hygiene factors and motivators. We also identify that a need of a statistical study with a questionnaire survey to confirm the relations between the organizational commitment and goal perception for developing managerial measures for the organizational commitment, and further;for better library performance.

This study analyzed the direct and indirect effects of job competency education on job goal setting, job preparation behavior and first job satisfaction from the perspective that successful employment requires improving the job ability needed for college students. Data on 5,044 students were analyzed based on the 2013GOMS of Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS). The study findings are summarized as follows. First, job competency education not only acted positively on job goal setting but also contributed to promoting job preparation behavior. Second, job preparation behavior contributed to improving satisfaction with the first job. Third, indirect effects of job competency education and job goal setting in first job satisfaction. In conclusion, job competencies enhances the possibility that college students may obtain their wanted job by setting a clear goal for their job and having a positive effect on the required behavior. Accordingly, college student should try to reinforce their special capability to accomplish the given job as career professionals in consideration of their aptitude rather than devoting themselves to reinforcing their basic capability such as linguistic ability. For this purpose, both universities and the government should develop educational programs for college students to grasp their aptitude and cultivate their special ability to become career professionals and provide a foundation for them to become talented professionals armed with special capability by proving support for job ability improvement.

This paper analyzed the improvement of cognitive level of the students and interactions which occurred in each step of free-topic scientific inquiry to help science teachers understand free-topic scientific inquiry better. Free-topic scientific inquiry is helpful to students with a deep strategic learning goal orientation type or a deep strategic ability goal orientation type in their transition (2B/3A) of cognitive levels. Most students have difficulties in the phase of establishing topics and hypotheses. The result says that the discussion techniques are improved through free-topic scientific inquiry, but the quality of interaction is not easily improved. The deep strategic learning goal orientation type concretizes opinion through interaction in free-topic scientific inquiry. The deep strategic ability goal orientation type are actively involve in the interaction, but they pay no attention to the process because they stick to the result. The surface strategic ability goal orientation type can not deepen a discussion due to high frequency of low level inquiry. However, the frequency of high level inquiry increases through free topic scientific inquiry operation. As a result, the characteristics of free-topic scientific inquiry were discussed and the educational implications of the progress of free-topic scientific inquiry and the organization of grouping were drawn.
In the past it was generally felt that software quality was the same as product quality. But as the software industry is getting bigger and more complex, it has become hard to develop quality software that meets customers' needs just depending on product quality. Therefore, lately many domestic and foreign companies are making efforts to upgrade product quality by implementing Process Improvement. Measurement in Process Improvement activities enhances the effect of Process Improvement, and also identifies and helps the activities. In support of this paper, research on the measurement program was conducted based on the CMMI adopted by many domestic and foreign companies for their process improvement model. MA process area that deals with measurement process setup is one of the CMMI process areas and was the basis of the structure of the measurement program. This study presents differences of the measurement program for each level of CMMI and how to apply it. The results of this study can help a business to apply CMMI-based Process Improvement by backing up the structure of the measurement program. Furthermore, it can offer a roadmap for progress of the measurement program for each level.
Today, IT organizations perform projects with vision related to marketing and financial profit. The objective of realizing the vision is to improve the project performing ability in terms of QCD. Organizations have made a lot of efforts to achieve this objective through process improvement. Large companies such as IBM, Ford, and GE have made over $80\%$ of success through business process re-engineering using information technology instead of business improvement effect by computers. It is important to collect, analyze and manage the data on performed projects to achieve the objective, but quantitative measurement is difficult as software is invisible and the effect and efficiency caused by process change are not visibly identified. Therefore, it is not easy to extract the strategy of improvement. This paper measures and analyzes the project performance, focusing on organizations' external effectiveness and internal efficiency (Qualify, Delivery, Cycle time, and Waste). Based on the measured project performance scores, an OT (Opportunity Tree) model was designed for optimizing the project performance. The process of design is as follows. First, meta data are derived from projects and analyzed by quantitative GQM(Goal-Question-Metric) questionnaire. Then, the project performance model is designed with the data obtained from the quantitative GQM questionnaire and organization's performance score for each area is calculated. The value is revised by integrating the measured scores by area vision weights from all stakeholders (CEO, middle-class managers, developer, investor, and custom). Through this, routes for improvement are presented and an optimized improvement method is suggested. Existing methods to improve software process have been highly effective in division of processes' but somewhat unsatisfactory in structural function to develop and systemically manage strategies by applying the processes to Projects. The proposed OT model provides a solution to this problem. The OT model is useful to provide an optimal improvement method in line with organization's goals and can reduce risks which may occur in the course of improving process if it is applied with proposed methods. In addition, satisfaction about the improvement strategy can be improved by obtaining input about vision weight from all stakeholders through the qualitative questionnaire and by reflecting it to the calculation. The OT is also useful to optimize the expansion of market and financial performance by controlling the ability of Quality, Delivery, Cycle time, and Waste.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of learning community on communication skills and self-directed learning(SDL) ability. Data were collected from 147 members at N university, they participated in learning community activities for 8 weeks. To verify program's effect, pre and post tests of communication skills and SDL ability were examined. The result were as follows. Learning community activities were positive influenced on the improvement of communication skills and SDL ability. Especially, it was effective on the improvement of interpretation ability that includes diverse information collection or listen to other's opinion. And it was effective on the improvement of learning plan ability. Learning plan includes that learning needs diagnosis, goal setting and grasp learning resources. We were suggested that student customized learning community development and activation for sustainable core competency improvement.
Recently, ITSM(IT Service Management) is adopted very widely among private and public organizations. The successful implementation of ITSM requires continuous improvement, not just implementation of IT processes and/or ITSM solutions. One of the major tools for the continuous improvement is 6 Sigma technique. This study compares success and failure cases at the project level, and identifies factors affecting successful application of 6 Sigma technique in the improvement of ITSM. To achieve the research objective, this study first identifies and classifies success factors for 6 Sigma application through literature review. Then, factors to be used in the study are determined. Based on the factors, success and failure cases are compared. The research results show that all 5 factors (participation of management, participation of project team, project selection and verification, customer and market orientation, strategy and goal focus) are significantly different between success and failure cases.
Electroosmosis (EO) is the movement of water in a porous medium under the influence of a direct current (dc). In past decades, electro-osmosis has been successfully employed in many soil improvement and other geotechnical engineering projects. Metal electrodes, such as steel, copper and aluminum have been used traditionally to conduct current. The shortcoming of these electrodes is that they corrode easily during an EO treatment, which results in reduced effectiveness and environmental concerns. More recently, conductive polymers are developed to replace metal electrodes in EO treatment. Electrical vertical drainages (EVDs) are one of these products under trial. The goal of this study is to assess the performance of EVDs for soil improvement and to further understand the scientific principle of the EO process, including the voltage drop at the soil-EVD interface, electrical current density, polarity reversal, and changes in soil physico-chemical properties generated by electroosmosis. It is found from the study that after 19 days of EO treatment with a constant applied dc electric field intensity of 133 V/m, the soil's moisture content decreased by 28%, the shear strength and pre-consolidation pressure increased more than 400%. It is also found that the current density required triggering the water flow in the soil tested, the Korean Yulchon marine clay, is 0.7 $A/m^2$. The project demonstrates that EVDs can serve as both electrodes and drains for soil improvement in short term. However, the EVDs, as tested, are not suitable for polarity reversal in EO treatment and their service life is limited to only 15 days.
The purposes of this study are to comprehend the importance of policy in improving the operation of the public arboretum and survey the program satisfaction of participants and operators based on the case of the Daegu arboretum. According to the order of policy priority regarding the Daegu arboretum, the expansion of the education program topped the list with 0.155 points, followed by the establishment of a vision and goal, and the reestablishment of function, which scored 0.135 and 0.135 points, respectively. Fostering citizens' participation through volunteer work was in the upper ranks with 0.131 points. Building networks among public arboretums and constructing a research cooperation system with universities turned up with 0.09 and 0.075 points. As the result of program satisfaction, participants' satisfaction was around 0.66 points higher than that of operators' satisfaction. In the case of participants, comprehensive satisfaction, including that with the program operation method, was very high at 4.85 points. Out of the entire program, the operators were the most satisfied with the benefits. This study aims to share improvement plans for public arboretums constructed in urban areas, analyzing policy priorities and satisfaction related to the Daegu arboretum. The results of this study can be utilized as data for the improvement plans of public arboretums. If improvement plans for public arboretums are modeled with other follow-up case studies, it will help ensure that public arboretums become evolving rather than fixed areas for citizens.
