The physical properties, such as the heat resistance and thermal durability of the temperature difference fatigue resistance should be excellent when preparing an epoxy type resin for a neon transformer housing. In this study, 50 wt% of $SiO_2$ and silica were selected as a reinforcement and diluent filler for epoxy type resins, respectively. Thermal conductivity and thermal stability were measured as the mixing ratio varied upon the particle sizes. The optimal amount of the mixed silica was 50 wt%. Thermal stability was improved with increasing the amount of larger silica particles. The optimal mixing ratio of differently sized silica particles was 28/3 : 14/18 : 8/10 mesh = 1 : 1 : 1. From these results, it is thought that neon transformer is producible which has excellent thermal durability.
SIP has been widely used as a low noise and vibration piling method in Korea. But the quality control of SIP was not properly settled down and field workers did not fully understand the principle of SIP method. So not a less troubles were raised at construction site and bearing capacity was not fully mobilized. To settle these problems, Korea National Housing Corporation amended the construction and load test criteria of SIP in 2002. After load tests on the SIPs installed in field according to the new criteria, we found that the bearing capacity in field vs the design load ratio increased and bearing characteristics was enhanced than that installed by the former criteria. To consider the enhanced bearing characteristics in the pile design and determine the adequate design criteria, this paper analyzed the accuracy of design criterion which were commonly used in Korea comparing with the load test results. Analysis result shows that Meyerhof criteria(1976) properly simulates the bearing capacity of SIP installed by the new construction and load test criteria.

This research is focused on the 'Resident-participated Workshop' which targets the improvement of residential environment of apartment complex from the residents' point of view. The purpose of the workshop is to induce the residents interest and encourage them to participate in design process, thus, residents will be satisfied with the result with affection and achievement. This research aims the effectiveness of 'Resident-participated' design plan as a program which enables them to maintain and self manage in the long run. The object of this research was the public space within the apartment complex of Susojugong Rental Apartment Complex in Gangnam-ku, Seoul and followings are the contents; 1. Method of 'Resident-participated Workshop'. 2. Program of 'Resident-participated Workshop'. 3. Design analysis of improved apartment complex through 'Resident-participated Workshop' and selection. As a result, it was noticeable that 'Resident-participated Workshop' was an important factor in decision making of designs from the very first stage through communication. As a part of workshop program, design game used cubic models which was useful to enhance the understanding of the participants. It also induced the cubic conception so that intercommunication with the design specialists was possible. But, the development of various workshop method to increase the residents' interest and participation is necessary, especially, program development is required to change the residents' attitude towards the design plan. It is anticipated that a continuous related research is neccsary in this regard.
A stockperson has a significant influence on the productivity and welfare of his animals depending on his stockmanship competence. In this study, stockmanship competence (SC) is defined as the capacity of the stockperson to ensure the welfare of his animals by providing his animals' needs. The study was conducted to evaluate the SC of backyard goat raisers and examine its relationship to goat productivity and economic profitability. There were 101 respondents for this study who have all undertaken farmer livestock school on integrated goat management (FLS-IGM). Interview was conducted in Region I, Philippines on September 3 to 30, 2012 and March 4 to 17, 2013. Data on SC, goat productivity and farmer's income were gathered. Questions regarding SC were formulated based on the Philippine Recommendations for Goat Production and from other scientific literature. Housing, feeding, breeding and health and husbandry management were the indicators used in computing stockmanship competence index score (SCIS). Pearson correlation using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was carried out to analyse the relationship between SCIS, productivity and income. Based from the results of the study, a majority of the respondents raised native and upgraded goats. The computed mean SCIS before and after undergoing FLS-IGM were 38.52% and 75.81% respectively, a percentage difference of 65.23%. Both index scores resulted in significant differences in productivity and income. The median mature weight and mortality rate of goats before FLS-IGM was 14 kg and 30% respectively. After FLS-IGM, median mature weight was 19 kg and mortality rate decreased from 30% to 11.11%. Likewise, fewer goat diseases were observed by farmers who were able to undergo FLS-IGM. With regard to income, there was a 127.34% difference on the median net income derived by farmers. Result implies that improved SC could lead not only to increased productivity and income of backyard goat raisers but also to better animal welfare.

Many defects are occurring in apartments, the main residential area in Korea. This is due to a lack of construction skills and a lack of management. As many apartments are provided to buyers, the dispute over defects after completion is increasing rapidly. The Housing Act was amended so that local governments could order contractors to repair defects. However, even if defects are resolved after a defect is generated, it is not a fundamental solution that can be satisfied because buyers have to endure the pain caused by the defect. So, it is necessary to protect the interests of buyers by fundamentally reducing defects in apartments. Therefore, in this study, it was suggested that the asymmetry of the information about the apartment buyers should be resolved at the time of sale of the apartment, the final drawings should be a contract document, the review period of the apartment house supervision should be secured, the appropriate supervisory fee should be secured at the time of contract change and the payment procedure should be improved.
There is an increasing interest in and efforts for safe residential environment from crimes nationwide. Many cities are making efforts to create safe residential environment by enacting ordinances and guidances on safe design for preventing crimes and implementing demonstration projects. In line with the trends of the times toward 'improvement of living conditions' through urban regeneration, the importance of the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design(CPTED) has recently emerged in the field of residential housing regeneration. Indeed, the CPTED is included as essential factor in the recent deteriorated residential area regeneration related projects. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to provide the basic data on the methodology of CPTED to be applied to the regeneration of deteriorated residential area in the future. To this end, this study selected three representative CPTED projects in Busan - 'Deokpo-dong Hope and Stepping Stone Village,' 'Chilsan-dong CPTED Happiness Village' and 'Sujeong-dong Crime Prevention and Safe Village' as objects of this study and then investigated and analyzed project contents, application of CPTED strategy, subjects who are implementing projects, and the time when they implement projects as the framework of my analysis. The findings from this study are as follows: First, the projects that were largely based on hardware should be improved by including software in the future. Second, the current Step 2 should expand into Step 3 Maintenance in applying CPTED strategy. Third, it is necessary to encourage exchange and cooperation between unit projects and subjects who are operating related projects.
Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) is a procedure of analyzing collected data for teaming, making a strategy and performing adequate service for learners. To perform suitable service for learners, modeling is the first step to collect data from the process of their learning. The model, however, cannot be authentic if collected data can contain learners' inconsistent behaviors or unpredictable learning inclination. This study focused on how to sort normal and abnormal data by analyzing collected data from learners through visualization. A model has been set up to assort unusual data from collected learner's data by using DOLLS-HI which makes possible to diagnose learner's learning propensity based on housing interior learning contents in the experiment. The created model has been confirmed its improved reliability comparing to previous one.

Covering structures and elevated road of Cheonggyecheon are the by-products of the developing era when functionality and efficiency were emphasized. Historic river restoration project around Cheonggyecheon which had been emerged as a threat to the safety of the citizens due to its corrosion and structural defects as time passes had been performed during the period from July, 2003 through October, 2005 under the slogan of future-oriented urban environment creation. By dint of this river restoration project, its value is being heightened as almost all the rivers of Seoul including Seongbukcheon, Chungreungcheon and Honghaecheon have been arranged by inter-active linkage. In addition, this river is becoming a place frequented by the numerous visitors at home and aborad by providing the citizens with an attractive space for utilizing leisure time. Currently in the diversified areas, an academic research on the Cheonggyecheon restoration is under progress. In this study, sampled questionnaire for the visitors was carried out by site visit with the necessity of users' satisfaction survey in terms of revitalization of pedestrian space of the city street. As a result of this, natural restoration and provision of leisure space were surveyed to be highly assessed in terms of satisfaction and insufficient provision of convenience facilities including toilet and parking space was pointed out as a matter to be improved. As Cheonggyecheon is invigorated from the obstacle of urban environment through its epochal restoration, its value provided to us will be evaluated and by supplementing the deduced problems, we intend to find its meaning in our hope that this would become a sustainable future assets providing a basic data.

Residential architecture was a lot more changed due to adopting modern residential type since 1960s. But people in farm houses are still living in a space of their past life causing a discrepancy. For this reason, the paper will identify the changed use for farm houses focusing on their plane views, and reason for the changed use as well. The result of this paper is expected to play a role for practical data to reasonably change and re-model farm houses located in back of cities such as Hyunpoong area. Targeted area for this paper, in order to survey change in residential environment due to industrialization and modernization, has narrowed down to 42 farm houses which are located Yuga-Myun, Hyunpoong-Gun, Dalsung-Gun where tradition and modern characteristics are harmonized being built before 1960s Researching relied on both documentary records and survey on the site, and survey on documentary records was performed in a way that preceding research for changed use of residential area was to be compared with people's farm houses in Kyeongsang-Do area, and survey on the site was carried out by photographing and land surveying and interview and analysis for them, and finally we acquired the result by analyzing use of interior for houses and plane view and relations between culture and social environment. From the result of this paper, there was a trend that farm houses had been improved function of a specific space by enlarging space and enlarged construction for inner rooms. And among spaces, kitchen and bath room was mostly enlarged its left side, and inner room had mostly enlarged its rear side, and kitchen was frequently enlarged in its side space. These kinds of variation in space is believed to be result of change of life style and house facilities
