  • Web 3D technology can be used to simulate the experiments of scientific, medical, engineering and multimedia visualization. On the web environment, 3D virtual reality can be accessed well without strictly on operating system, location and time. Virtual Reality (VR) is used to depict a three-dimensional, computer generated realistic images, sound and other sensations to replicated a real environment or an imaginary setting which can be explored and interacted with by a person. That person is immersed within virtual environment and is able to manipulate objects or perform a series of action. Virtual environment can be created with X3D which is the ISO standard for defining 3D interactive, web-based 3D content and integrating with multimedia. In this paper, we discuss about X3D VR stereo rendering scene and propose new X3D nodes for the HMD VR (head mounted display virtual reality). The proposed nodes are visualized by the web browser X3DOM of X3D.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of current fashion illustrations within the framework of Multi-space method. Multi-space means being piled up one moment & space on others, and being amassed in a scene. This method is related with Dadaism, Surrealism and Postmodernism, and also influences on the current fashion illustration. In this study, the types of Multi-space method could be classified into 4 types; Repetitive Time Mixture in Multi-space, Juxtaposed Time Mixture in Multi-space, Reiterated Space Mixture in Multi-space, Projected Space Mixture in Multi-space. The characteristics of Multi-space were analyzed and the results are as followed. The distinctive methods for Time Mixture in Multi-space are repetition and juxtaposition in a scene. Time Mixture in Multi-space can make the nonlinear narration and unreal illusory space in fashion illustrations more effectively. Reiterated Space Mixture in Multi-space can be related with the heterogeneous, surrealistic illusions in current fashion illustrations. Projected Space Mixture in Multi-space can be characterized into inter-penetration. It can derive spectators to mix the projected & transparent images in a scene for their own imaginary stories. The final imagination can be made differently according to the personal experiences of spectators.

  • Because deterioration of air quality and urban heat island directly harm health of citizens, Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for urban development projects needs to conduct analysis of their impacts objectively. This study aims to review appropriate methods for assessment of air quality used at each stage of urban development and to investigate prediction and assessment methods of urban heat island. In addition, by evaluating impacts of climate change following supposed urban construction performed in the central area of Korea on public health, it examines usefulness of HIA for urban construction. When urban heat island prediction and HIA method suggested in this study are applied to an imaginary city, they predict urban heat island properly and the impacts of climate changes on public health inside the city could be determined clearly by calculating life-climate index and bio-climate index related with thermal environment from the model.

  • With the rapid growth of the Internet, various web-based businesses are creating a new environment in an imaginary space. However, this expanding Internet and user increase cause an overflow of transmission and numerous subordinate problems. To solve these problems, a parallel cluster system is produced using different methods. This thesis recommends a multi0distribution cluster group. It constructs a MPP dynamic distribution sub-cluster group using numerous low-priced and low-speed systems. This constructed sub-cluster group is then connected with a singular virtual IP to finally serve the needs of clients (users). This multi-distribution cluster group consists of an upper structure based on LVS and a dynamic serve cluster group centered around an SC-server. It conducts the workloads required from users in a parallel process. In addition to the web service, this multi-distribution cluster group can efficiently be utilized for the calculations which require database controls and a great number of parallel calculations as well as additional controls with result from the congestion of service.

  • It is very important to analyze and predict the propagation characteristics of LEO communication satellite at the service area using computer simulation. In this paper, the propagation characteristics of a satellite communication system are analyzed using ray tracing technique. We predicted the receiving environment and obtain the delay profile and total received power at each position using ray tracing method by changing both the azimuth and elevation angles after establishing the imaginary receiving space. The final goal of this paper is to analyze and understand the wave propagation characteristics of the satellite communication network about 2 GHz frequency band. The prediction method presented in this paper may help us to design satellite transceiver system and to construct a satellite communication network.

  • The distribution of the space debris caused by any source affects the DBS & FSS wave propagation for satellite communication. In this paper, the normalized expansion coefficients are evaluated with varying the volume distribution density of space debris and the operating frequency, and then the attenuation and phase shift are calculated by using the normalized expansion coefficients. Conclusively, the attenuation and phase shift are mostly affected with the real and imaginary part of the amplitude function, respectively, which represented by electric field component of the Bessel function. The results of this paper adapted for the design of the link budget for satellite communication system and the reconsideration of space environment as the space debris increses by geometric progression.

  • The Landscape Drawing is the main medium for constructing better environment which provides human beings with a place for dwelling well, even though it has some limitations. To provide places for people's daily lives, by what measure do we design\ulcorner, by what measure do we give dimension\ulcorner, and how can we appropriately measure the place with drawing\ulcorner On any given site, of course, much has already happened, i.e, there is history. Any adequate interpretation of such a site should poetically take into account the present effects of its absent past. The findings to reveal the meaning and methodology of landscape drawings in the environmental design with a case study are as follows: (1) The value of landscape drawings is the poetic, artistic interpretation which we sense and bodily experience through the simultaneous exposure of the site's temporal, spatial, and tactile conditions. (2) The landscape drawing should represent the invisible (imaginary) world as well as the visible (physical) world. (3) There can be classified as two methods in representing the rich experience of a place: expression and notation. Expression is the abstract representation and do not have a direct relationship to construction due to its ambiguous and connotative structure. But notation is constructional due to it's purely objective symbol system which is obviously denotative structure. (4) Collage is a medium of specific act that can represent the complex layered phenomena and the rich experience of given site. (5) The landscape drawings represent not only topographical space which can be measured objectively, but also topic which can be cognized culturally.

  • A variety of methods for sound source localization have been developed and applied to several applications such as noise detection system, surveillance system, teleconference system, robot auditory system and so on. In the previous work, we proposed the sound source localization using the spatially mapped GCC functions based on TDOA for robot auditory system. Performance of the proposed one for the noise effect and estimation resolution was verified with the real environmental experiment under the single source assumption. However, since multi-talker case is general in human-robot interaction, multiple source localization approaches are necessary. In this paper, the proposed localization method under the single source assumption is modified to be suitable for multiple source localization. When there are two sources which are correlated, the spatially mapped GCC function for localization has three peaks at the real source locations and imaginary source location. However if two sources are uncorrelated, that has only two peaks at the real source positions. Using these characteristics, we modify the proposed localization method for the multiple source cases. Experiments with human speeches in the real environment are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed method for multiple source localization. In the experiments, mean value of estimation error is about $1.4^{\circ}$ and percentage of multiple source localization is about 62% on average.

  • Obstacle limitation surfaces are imaginary space surfaces that must be clear of obstacles for the aircraft to safely take off and land on the aerodrome. These surfaces are closely related to the safety of the VFR aircraft, which require a pilot to be able to see outside the cockpit, to control the aircraft's altitude, navigate, and avoid obstacles and other aircraft. The Republic of Korea, which has a lot of restrictions on the use of airspace, cannot provide a rich operating environment for VFR aircraft. Under these circumstances, safer operation will not be guaranteed if additional factors that directly or indirectly affect existing VFR routes, such as drone delivery services. This study analyzes and models the track distribution of each VFR section based on radar track data around a specific airport. Through this study, we estimate the three-dimensional space for VFR aircraft and provide the data for future research such as airspace analysis of VFR corridors and correlation with obstacle limitation surfaces.
