측두하악관절 수술 후 관절 운동프로그램이 기능회복에 미치는 영향 (Effect of a Therapeutic Exercise Program on the Functional Recovery Following Temporomandibular Joint Surgery)

  • The purposes of this study were to assess the effect of therapeutic exercise and to offer an approach to the physical therapy and rehabilitation procedure of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) following surgery. In this research, 42 patients with TMJ surgery were assigned one of two groups. The experimental group included 21 patients who performed therapeutic exercise, and the control group included 21 patients who did not perform therapeutic exercise. Conservative therapy such as an ice pack, a hot pack, and pulsed ultrasound was applied to both groups. Treatment was applied twice a day during the admission period and, after discharge, everyday for six weeks. Visual analogue scale (VAS), incisal biting force, and joint ROM were measured before surgery and at 30 days after surgery. The results were as follows: VAS (p<0.05), mouth opening (p<0.01), lateral excursion to unaffected side (p<0.05), and protrusion (p<0.05) between experimental group and control group showed statistically significant differences. Incisal biting force and lateral excursion to affected side between experimental group and control group showed no statistically significant difference.

인삼첨가 Long Life 면의 조직감과 관능적 특성 (Effects of Ginseng on Textural and Sensory Properties of Long Life Noodles)

  • The influence of ginseng on the paste or gelatinization properties by amylograph and mixing properties by farinograph of wheat flour and on quality properties color cooking quality textural and sensory properties and reducing microbial population of LL(Long Life) noodles was studied. The contents of ginseng used were from 5% to 10% based on flour weight. The viscosity property of wheat flour with ginseng was increased the initial pasting temperature but the amylograph peak viscosity were decreased in vice versa. The farinograph absorption stability and breakdown were increased by ginseng. The whiteness of Ll nodles manufactured with ginseng was lower than that of control The shear extrusion force and hardness of LL noodles manufactured with ginseng were shown much higher value than those of control. At cooking quality examination of LL noodles manufactured with ginseng weight of cooked LL noodles was decreased but volum was appeared in ice versa,. Extraction amounts of LL noodles manufactured with ginseng during cooking were much smaller than those of control Total count of microorganism of Ll noodles manufactured with ginseng were decreased during storage at 3$0^{\circ}C$ Sensory properties of cooked LL noodles which was manufactured with ginseng showed quite acceptable. Based on the cooking and sensory evaluation test addition of 7.0% ginseng to wheat flour may be suitable for processing LL noodles.

  • A huge offshore structures such as immersed tunnel, ice-resisting wall are continuously subjected to large force from water pressure, wave action and impact loads. Composite steel-concrete structure of sandwich system has profitable advantages for a huge offshore structures. This composite structures should exhibit a high degree of strength and ductility, because of concrete confining effect and the property of steel plate. Therefore, it endures large deformation and absorbs a great deal of energy until failure. In this study, nonlinear analysis for composite steel-concrete structure of sandwich system was carried out, and certify the effects of various parameters, elastic·plastic behavior characteristic, load-carrying and failure mechanism.

Differences in Health-related Fatty Acids, Intramuscular Fat and the Physico-chemical Quality in Mutton as Affected by Season, Place of Purchase and Meat Portion

  • The objective of the study was to determine the quality and fatty acid profiles of mutton cuts purchased from rural and urban localities in South Africa. Five hundred and ten samples were collected in four seasons from both rural and urban shops and butcheries. Samples were immediately transported to the laboratory in cooler boxes with ice where the following physico-chemical characteristics of mutton were determined; meat pH, color ($L^*$, $a^*$, and $b^*$), cooking losses and Warner Braztler shear force and replicates stored at $-20^{\circ}C$ pending fatty acid analysis. Meat $L^*$ values were lowest ($24.7{\pm}0.49$) in winter and highest ($32.2{\pm}0.49$) in spring. The loin and sirloin cuts recorded the highest intramuscular fat whilst rib and leg cuts recorded the lowest intramuscular fat. In conclusion intramuscular fat, fatty acid profiles and physico-chemical quality of mutton were significantly affected by season and meat portion and not necessarily by the locality and class of shop.

  • The general control method for Anti-lock Brake System(ABS) is that the wheel slip ratio is observed and the braking force is controlled in real time in order to keep the wheel slip ratio under the value of the best slip ratio. When a wheel runs on the state of the best slip ratio, the ground friction of the wheel approaches the highest value. The value of best slip ratio, theoretically, is known as the value between 10 and 20 % and it is dependant on the ground condition such as dry, wet and ice. It is an important parameter for the braking performance and affects the braking stability and efficiency. In this thesis, an experimental method is suggested, which is a reliable way to decide the best slip ratio through dynamo tests simulating aircraft taxiing conditions. The obtained best slip ratio is proved its validity by results of aircraft taxiing tests.

Galloping analysis of stranded electricity conductors in skew winds

  • When first commissioned, the 1.6 km span 275kV Severn Crossing Conductor experienced large amplitude vibrations in certain wind conditions, but without ice or rain, leading to flashover between the conductor phases. Wind tunnel tests undertaken at the time identified a major factor was the lift generated in the critical Reynolds number range in skew winds. Despite this insight, and although a practical solution was found by wrapping the cable to change the aerodynamic profile, there remained some uncertainty as to the detailed excitation mechanism. Recent work to address the problem of dry inclined cable galloping on cable-stayed bridges has led to a generalised quasi-steady galloping formulation, including effects of the 3D geometry and changes in the static force coefficients in the critical Reynolds number range. This generalised formulation has been applied to the case of the Severn Crossing Conductor, using data of the static drag and lift coefficients on a section of the stranded cable, from the original wind tunnel tests. Time history analysis has then been used to calculate the amplitudes of steady state vibrations for comparison with the full scale observations. Good agreement has been obtained between the analysis and the site observations, giving increased confidence in the applicability of the generalised galloping formulation and providing insight into the mechanism of galloping of yawed and stranded cables. Application to other cable geometries is also discussed.

직렬형 HEV 운전 특성 분석을 위한 PSIM 시뮬레이터 (PSIM Simulator for Analysis of Series HEV Operation)

  • 본 논문에서는 직렬형 하이브리드 자동차의 운전특성을 분석하기 위한 PSIM 시뮬레이터의 개발에 대하여 기술한다. 직렬형 하이브리드 자동차는 엔진이 전동기와 전기적으로 결합되어 있으며 전동기의 출력에 의해서만 구동된다. 엔진/발전기, 전동기, 기어와 같은 파워트레인 각 구성요소들의 정격은 에너지 개념을 이용한 시스템과 Electrical Peaking Hybrid (ELPH)를 이용하여 모델링할 수 있는데, 설계된 하이브리드 자동차를 개발된 PSIM 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 특정 운전주기 하에서 평가하고 분석하였다. 기계적 제동이 사용되는 경우와 회생제동이 사용되는 경우 각각에 대하여 전동기의 평균 입력을 비교하였으며 시뮬레이션 결과를 바탕으로 직렬형 하이브리드 자동차의 연비를 분석하였다.

Quasi-steady three-degrees-of-freedom aerodynamic model of inclined/yawed prisms: Formulation and instability for galloping and static divergence

  • In this study, a generalized three-degree-of-freedom (3-DoF) analytical model is formulated to predict linear aerodynamic instabilities of a prism under quasi-steady (QS) conditions. The prism is assumed to possess a generic cross-section exposed to turbulent wind flow. The 3-DoFs encompass two orthogonal horizontal directions and rotation about the prism body axis. Inertial coupling is considered to account for the non-coincidence of the mass center and the rotation center. The aerodynamic force coefficients-drag, lift, and moment-depend on the Reynolds number based on relative flow velocity, angle of attack, and the angle between the wind and the cable. Aerodynamic forces are linearized with respect to the static equilibrium configuration and mean wind velocity. Routh-Hurwitz and Liénard and Chipart criteria are used in the eigenvalue problem, yielding an analytical solution for instabilities in galloping and static divergence types. Additionally, the minimum structural damping and stiffness required to prevent these instabilities are numerically determined. The proposed 3-DoF instability model is subsequently applied to a conductor with ice accretion and a full-scale dry inclined cable. In comparison to existing models, the developed model demonstrates superior prediction accuracy for unstable regions compared with results in wind tunnel tests.

급구배 및 급곡선 궤도 추진시스템 개발 및 성능 평가 (Development and performance evaluation of traction system for steep gradient and sharp curve track)

  • 본 연구에서는 급곡선과 급구배가 많은 산악 도로 상의 궤도에서 운행할 수 있는 산악트램의 추진시스템 핵심 기술을 개발하였다. 국내 산악 관광지는 겨울철 폭설과 결빙에 의해 교통이 통제되고 있어 지형 조건 뿐만 아니라 기후 조건에도 무관한 산악철도가 필요하다. 먼저, 일반적인 120‰ 구배 등반에 소요되는 견인전동기 출력을 고려하여 추진시스템을 설계하였으며, 추진장치 설치 공간을 고려하여 동력 전달 계통을 설계하고 감속기 및 동력 전달축을 개발하였다. 급구배 상승을 위해 필요한 랙앤피니언 추진장치의 강체 접촉에 의한 진동 소음을 줄이기 위해 탄성 피니언을 개발하여 적용하였으며, 충격 비교 시험을 통해 기존 강체 피니언에 비해 진동이 1/3이하로 감소됨을 확인하였다. 반경 10m의 급곡선을 운행할 수 있도록 개별 회전 차륜 차축을 개발하였다. 또한 급구배 주행중 제동력 향상을 위해 밴드 제동장치를 개발하였으며, 제동력 시험을 통해 요구 제동력을 발휘할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 개발된 주요 부품은 시험을 통해 성능을 검증하였고, 최종적으로 급구배 및 급곡선 운행 대차시스템에 적용된다.

Outflow properties of DIGIT embedded sources

  • We present a study of outflows on 24 embedded young stellar objects selected from the source list of the Dust, Ice, and Gas in Time (DIGIT) Herschel key program. To study the relation between the CO outflows observed in low-J transitions and the properties of protostars more consistently with a homogeneous data set, we mapped the CO outflows of the selected targets in the J = 1-0 and J = 2-1 lines with two Korean telescopes (SRAO and TRAO). We compare CO outflow force ($F_{CO}$) with the bolometric luminosity, ($L_{bol}$) bolometric temperature, and the FIR molecular line luminosities of CO, $H_2O$, OH, and [O I] detected by the Herschel-PACS observations. We find that $F_{CO}$ of J = 1-0 is greater than that of 2-1 by a factor of ~ 2. The well known correlation between $F_{CO\;2-1}$ and $L_{bol}$ is not very evident in our sample as a whole, but they show a rather strong correlation when IRAM 04191+1522 is excluded. IRAM 04191+1522 has relatively high $F_{CO\;2-1}$ in spite of its low $L_{bol}$. This object is a well-known VeLLO, which is believed in the quiescent phase of the episodic mass accretion in the embedded stage. $L_{bol}$ traces a current accretion, but $F_{CO\;2-1}$ traces accretion happened long ago. Therefore, the low-$L_{bol}$ with the high-$F_{CO\;2-1}$ can be explained by the episodic accretion. $F_{CO\;2-1}$ shows little correlation with individual FIR line luminosities of CO, $H_2O$, OH, while [O I] and total FIR line luminosity seem to have correlations with $F_{CO\;2-1}$. This result is interpreted as the accretion energy deposits on species differently depending on shock properties, but the total FIR line luminosity sums the total accretion energy dispersed to different species.
