The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition degrees of contents in Home Economics textbook for middle school students among pre-middle school students and their parents. It is for developing better Home Economics textbook. Three objectives of this study were ; 1) To find the recognition degrees of the fact that Home Economics subject is supposed to utilize for not only girls, but boys students in middle schools in 1996 among pre-middle school students and their parents. 2) To find the degrees of necessity in each field of Home Economics subject among pre-middle school students and their parents. 3) To find the differences in recognition degrees of understandings, attitudes, and sills of Home Economics subject between pre-middle school students and their parents. Questionnaire survey method was utilized to 1,205 sixth grade students and their parents in Pusan. The results of this study as follows; 1) It was low that the recognition degrees of the fact that Home Economics subject is supposed to utilize for both girls and boys in middle school among both pre-middle school students and their parents. This result implies that it is important to important to disseminate the curriculum change in Home Economics practice to the public. 2) It was high that the recognition degree of necessity in each field of Home Economics subject among pre-middle school students and their parents. The recognition degree were different according to sociodemographic factors. That is , $\circled1$the recognition degrees of students were lower than their parents; $\circled2$ the recognition degrees of parents who have high education were higher than those who have low education ; $\circled3$ the recognition degree of an environmental field was highest. 3) There were little differences between pre-middle school students and their parents in the recognition degrees of understandings, attitudes, and skills of Home Economics subjects: The recognition degrees of girls fathers showed higher scores than boys fathers those of in understandings and skills of Home Economics subject. The recognition degrees of girls fathers showed higher scores than those of girls in attitudes of Home Economics subject.

Network industry is complex combined with various fields of industry, such as communication, broadcast, construction, and home appliances. Moreover, it's fairly lucrative since the growth industry makes lots of added values, interacting with the others. The network industry, usually called 'Ubiquitous', connects some home appliances and makes an integrated system that you can use them with whenever and wherever. A demand for network security, however, has skyrocketed due to the relatively low safety. It's been expected that the market of home security is going to be grown up nearly 30 percent every year. Recently, analog surveilance cameras have been replaced with digital ones, and they will be providing stronger security services taking advantage of mutual interaction with related industies. In this paper, a mobile monitoring system for home security is proposed, which makes it possible to supervise all home appliances wherever you're, using the conventional wired/wireless network infra.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the husbands perceive home management behavior performed by wives and how much they are satisfied with it. This study also is to find out the variables affecting husbands' perception and satisfaction of it. The major findings were as follows: 1) The husbands perceived that wives are somewhat efficiently performing the home management(mean score:3.84 out of 5) and they are rather satisfied with wives' home management behavior(mean score; 3.69 out of 5). 2) The variables which affect husbands' perception of home management bahavior performed by wives and their satisfaction of it are husbands' age family life cycle and wives' health status. 3) The husbands' satisfaction of home management are influenced more by the husbands' perception about wives' home management behavior than by the demographic variables

This paper is concerned with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based unmanned home-delivery box system, in which the system is developed with a prototype using a weight sensor, shock sensor, the Arduino and Raspberry-Pi of open-source hardware platforms. The developed system provides several functions such as a safe storage means, prevention of delivery-theft, and remote control of the home-delivery box, etc. Specifically, the system recognizes the arrival of goods by detecting the weight of deliveries and sends the arrived message of deliveries to the recipient' smartphone, and also controls (i.e., open and close) the locker of the unmanned home-delivery box system remotely with the smartphone. Furthermore, the developed system provides automatically a warning alarm around the unmanned home-delivery box when an external shock is applied to the home-delivery box, and sends a message on the shock to the recipient' smartphone. The major functions of the developed home-delivery box system have been verified in a realistic environment, and confirmed to work well. With the application of the developed home-delivery box system to the homes and offices where recipients are always not to stay, it is expected to significantly improve the safety of delivered goods as well as to effectively prevent the delivery operatives posing as a crime.

Applying evolved IT technology to increase the satisfaction of the consumer is a typical feature of the rapidly transformed service industry. Smart devices have taken a place as the mainstream of major media, moreover, IT service strategies utilizing smart devices have been constantly developed. Location recognition method of users has been proposed as one of the significant features to the IT service industry. The long-term care home services can be one example of user location recognition methods that real time computerization of service record utilize an attached tag to home of pensioners with RFID reader or an NFC function of mobile when a home carer provides service. And, the Homecare Electronics Management System (HEMS) and the various location recognition methods will be discussed to improve effectiveness of services. In this paper, we propose a home applicable electronic management system which insurer, home care service facilities, home cares, pensioners and guardians which enables to simultaneously check service records based on the improved system by use of iBeacon.

This paper presents a case study in which a lesson was designed and applied to enhance preservice home economics teachers' instructional design competence using the metaverse. For 15 weeks from March 6 to June 14, 14 students enrolled on the course 'Multimedia Home Economics Education' for preservice home economics teachers used the metaverse to engage in problem-based learning to solve instructional design problems in home economics classes. In accordance with the ADDIE design model, in the analysis stage, we assessed preservice home economics teachers' level of knowledge of lessons using the metaverse, and their perceptions of the possibility, necessity, and usefulness of using the metaverse in home economics lessons. In the design and development stage, lesson plans, questions for problem-based learning, assessment tools, and teaching and learning materials were developed. The implementation was conducted in parallel with training on understanding multimedia and the metaverse, and instructional design competence was evaluated through pre- and post-testing and reflection journals. The results revealed that the preservice home economics teachers acquired a good understanding of lessons using the metaverse, learned how to design lessons for self-directed learning by applying the metaverse to their home and classroom, and gained confidence in applying it to their teaching practice or in-service work. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as support materials for prospective and current home economics teachers to design home economics lessons using the metaverse, thereby expanding the horizons of home economics education.

This descriptive study was conducted to determine the awareness by doctors and patients of the hospital based home nursing service, and the willingness of the patients as well as the doctors to use the service if provided. The convenience samples consisted of 240 hospitalized medical-surgical patients, and 64 doctors from one' hospital. The data was collected from June 1 to June 30, 2000, by questionnairs and interviews. The results of the study were as follows: 1. 57.4% of the subjects were male patients. 35.8% were over 60 years old. and incomes ranged from 1.000,000 to 1.990,000 Won per month in 33.2% of the subjects. 2. 61.3% were unaware of home nursing. 52.7% of the subjects got information about home nursing via TV, magazines, and newspapers, and 83.4% of them showed a willingness to use the service if available. For doctors, 87%, of them said that they were aware of home nursing, and 84.4% viewed the service as necessary. However, only 39.1% responded that they are willing to refer their patients to the home nursing service if it is available. 3. Those who know about the service perceived it more advantageous; however, many do not know about it. Based on the above findings, the following suggestions are made: (1) It is necessary to hold a workshop or a seminar about hospital based home nursing service to draw attention of hospital personnel. (2) There is a need to publicize home nursing service to patients and their family members. (3) Further research is necessary to analyze cost/effectiveness of a hospital based home nursing service for the hospital.

The need of Home-Office is increasing according to the technology and communication system being developed. It is necessary to develop space program and home furniture design for Home-Office. The purpose of this study was to investigate sjpace condition for Home-Office and Home-Office furniture, and to examine preference and opinion on Home-Office. The results this study can be summarized as follows: 1) An isolated space such as a study was the most preferred for Home-Office. The proper size of Home-Office space in residential interior was over 3.3m$\times$3m. 2) The system furniture which is enable to store OA system, and to have efficient work space was preferred. 3) The preferred color of system furniture was natural wood tone, and the most preferred color of chair was blue. 4) It was assumed that the possibility of Home-Office is increased in the new future.

The development of technology provides and increases security as well as convenience for humans. The development of new technology directly affects the standard of life thanks to smart home automatic control systems. This paper describes a door control, automatic curtain, home security (CCTV, fire, gas, safe, etc.), home control (energy, light, ventilation, etc.) and web-based smart home automatic controller. It also describes the use of ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) for automatic control of home equipment, a Multi-Axes Servo Controller using FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and PLC (programmable logic controller). Additionally, it describes the development of a HTML editor using web auto control software. The tab loading time (7 seconds) is faster when using ARM-based web browser software instead of Chrome and Firefox is used because the browser has a small memory footprint (300M). This system is realized by web auto controller language which controls and uses PLCs that are easier than existing devices. This smart home automatic control technology can control smart home equipment anywhere and anytime and provides a remote interface through mobile equipment.

The purpose of this study is try to suggest the practical trend of Home Economics Education by analyzing the trends of subject matter education in it. To do this, this study analyzed 115 articles published on The Journal of Korea Home Economics Education Association and The Journal of Korean Home Economics Association. Through this analyzing them, it is found out that teaching-teaming method and teaching materials are trend to be mainly concerned. But recently evaluation study and teacher education study in Home Economics Education have been increased. As a result, Home Economics Education needs to develop the speciality of Home Economics Education as a subject matter education.
