The purpose of this paper is to develope efficient techniques for implementing the dual simplex method. In this paper we proposed one artificial row technique to get an initial dual feasible basic solution, a dual steepest-edge method coupled with a dropping row selection rule, and an anti-degeneracy technique which resembles the EXPAND procedure for the primal simplex method. The efficiency of the above techniques is shown by experiments. Finally, the dual simplex method is shown to be superior to the primal simplex method when it is used in the integer programming.
It was attempted to get an optimal method for the prediction of design low flows among derivation . techniques of design low flows. Derivation techniques of design low Hon used in this study are Type III extremal, Gumbel-Chow distribution, SMEMAX(Small, M
This paper presents BIST (Built-in self-test) techniques for detection of path delay faults in digital circuits. In the proosed BIST schemes, the shift registers make possible to concurrently generate and compact the latched test data. Therefore the test time is reduced efficiently. By reordering the elements of th shifte register based on the information of the hamming distance of each memory elements in CUt, it is possible to increase the number of path delay faults detected robustly/non-robustly. Experimental results for ISCAS'89 benchmark circuits show the efficiency of the proposed BIST techniques.
Loop shaping techniques are developed for the LQG/LTR controller design of singular multivariable sytems. One approach is to use the mode form of plant and the other is to replace the eigenvalues at 0 by ones at .epsilon.(.rarw.0). These two concepts for the target filter loop design are applied to a flight autopilot. And it is shown that these techniques are effective ones for the desired loop-shaping of singular multivariable systems.

When the volume of data grows big, some simple tasks could become a significant concern. Nearest neighbor search is such a task which finds from a data set the k nearest data points to queries. Locality-sensitive hashing techniques have been developed for approximate but fast nearest neighbor search. This paper introduces the notion of locality-sensitive hashing and surveys the locality-sensitive hashing techniques. It categories them based on several criteria, presents their characteristics, and compares their performance.

The objectives of this paper is to analyze the reinforced concrete structures by using fiber model. In this study, the fiber modeling techniques including modeling of support conditions are studied. In order to verify the modeling techniques, analysis results obtained for reinforced concrete cantilever beam and reinforced concrete T-girder bridge under cyclic loading are compared with experimental results from full scale test. From the comparison, it is shown that the modeling techniques in this study can be well applied to the nonlinear failure analysis of reinforced concrete structures with porper modifications.
In this paper, we propose a design and implementation of Home Network Middleware which offer integrated service of electronic products. Most senior nations setting to core paradigm to ubiquitous computing techniques and effort to get the novel information and making more power about information techniques. But, they don't have a skill to Home Network Middleware in electronic products. It is a more important in Home Network Middleware. So, we will try to study about Home Network Middleware skill. And suggest to proposition that is a novel Home Network Middleware.

Drift design using resizing techniques can be a very practical method in drift design of high-rise buildings since it cannot require sensitivity analysis and structural re-analysis. Resizing techniques has used the cross sectional areas as design variable and supposed that displacement participation factors are inversely proportional to structural weights. Efficiency of resizing techniques based on displacement participation factors may depend on proper selection of sectional properties as design variables. In this study, two different drift design methods with the different sectional properties as design variables are presented and applied to a 20-story structure.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects on the effects of science lessons using six thinking hats techniques on creativity and science academic achievement. To verify the research problem, the subject of this study was fourth-grade students selected from four classes of an elementary school located in Busan. For ten weeks, the experimental group of 40 students was taught using the six thinking hats techniques. The comparative group also of 40 students, was taught in normal classes which used a Text-book. Children were given a creativity test and academic achievement test in science to measure the effects on six thinking hats techniques. Likert scales were used to gather students feedbacks on creativity and science academic achievement. Through these procedures, the following results were obtained: First, the six thinking hats techniques had a more effect on creativity than the normal classes, where a text-book was used. Second, the six thinking hats techniques could be seen to be effective in improving the student's academic achievements in science than the normal classes which used a Text-book. Third, the result of the student recognition investigation, we could know that the students showed lots of interest in the science lessons using six thinking hats techniques, and they were able to understand the scientific theories. As a result, the elementary science class with six thinking hats techniques had the effects of developing creativity and science academic achievement. It means the science class with six thinking hats techniques has potential possibilities and value to develop creativity and science academic achievement.

There are many assessment techniques used for occupational risk factors of MSDs in the workplaces. However, because all ergonomic assesment techniques or tools are based on theoretical background derived from workphysiology, biomechanics, psychophysics, industrial hygiene, work system, and etc, it is impossible to compare the assessment techniques. This study was conducted to compare the excess rates of risk factors among ergonomic assessment techniques and to make alternative methods. Site-visits to 6 automobile products and parts company provided data for process repeated work where the produced data was examined for evaluating the relationship between workplace lay-out and work posture by using ergonomic assessment techniques. We evaluated 157 jobs for simple repeated work and 37 jobs for manual materials handling (MMH). In simple repeated work, the exceeded rates of AC were 36.3% in OWAS method and 93.0% in RULA method. The exceeded rate for RULA method was significantly higher than those for OWAS method (p<0.05). In MMH, the exceeded rates of AC were 80.0% in NLE method and 76.5% in WAC method. Statistically significant differences were not identified in the exceeded rates for NLE and MAC methods (p<0.05). The analyzed results among ergonomic assessment techniques (OWAS, RULA, NLE/WAC) were applied to the same work places performing simple repeated work and manual materials handling simultaneously. The applied results showed statistically significant differences (p<0.05) among ergonomic assessment techniques (OWAS, RULA, NLE/WAC). Exceeded rates of four ergonomic assessment techniques in decreasing order was "RULA>NLE>WAC>OWAS". The RULA method was the strongest assessment technique for automobile products and parts company. We discovered that the results could easily be overestimated or underestimated when the ergonomic assessment techniques were not applied correctly during the evaluation process. Therefore, we recommend using at least 2 methods when evaluating and analysing the results.
