One of the considerations in weapon systems procurement is the objective of maximizing the current force. Also, offensive effects, rather than defense are valued in weapons system development and procurement. Especially, the survivability of a naval ship is equally important as the offensive effect of onboard weapons. In case of naval ships, development of attack tactics and research regarding damage minimization must be conducted through live fire exercise against actual targets in order to minimize damage from the enemy. However, it is difficult to conduct such adequate measures due to realistic limitations such as time and budget in order to verify and calculate a weapon system's attack and damage effects along with the lack of practical studies in this subject despite numerous interests. Research are being conducted utilizing M&S to estimate attack effects and study damages due to such reason, but the lack of authoritative data and development ability are limiting calculation of reliable results. Therefore, this study will propose a measure to increase survivability of a weapon system(ship/vessel) utilizing research of vulnerability from enemy attacks analysis method against a naval ship(Craft Air Cushion).

As the number of high-rise building construction projects grows up, the subject of the transportation planning has become one of the grave issue. however important decision making are made by the experience of the a planner without the rational plans for information sharing. therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest a plan of prefect information management not only for describing drafting process for transportation planning but also for systematizing information used in the procurement, transportation and construction phase to achieve these objectives, this study 1)analyzes the prior theory about transportation planning, 2)performs a case study of actual project to embody the problems of site management by analyzing the results of interviewing experts. In conclusion, the following factors are systematized : 1)the structure of drafting process for transportation planning, 2)the contents of information used in the procurement, transportation and construction phase, 3)the actual condition of code breakdown structure in transportation Planning phase. It is anticipated that the proposed methodology would be able to improve information management among the related engineers and accumulated data that might be used in similar construction projects in Korea.

Plant industry is one of important industry that possesses 70% of fund in construction contracts for oversea customers at 2004. It is called E(Engineering), P(Procurement), C(Construction) industry. Plant industry of Korea has a competitive power of the detail design and operation for the establishment construction. But among E, P, C at plant industry, technic of E part which is able to make higher profits; Planning and basic designing; are poor. They should have much more improvements. Thus to enhance a competitive power of planning and basic designing, we are going to analyze problems of utilizing a standard code for plant design and present plans for their improvements.

This paper discusses a green supply chain with a manufacturer and a collection trader, and it proposes an optimal production planning for remanufacturing of parts in used products with quality classification errors made by the collection trader. When a manufacturer accepts an order for parts from a retailer and procures used products from a collection trader, the collection trader might have some quality classification errors due to the lack of equipment or expert knowledge regarding quality classification. After procurement of used products, the manufacturer inspects if there are any classification errors. If errors are detected, the manufacturer reclassifies the misclassified (overestimated) used products at a cost. Accordingly, the manufacturer decides to remanufacture from the higher-quality used products based on a remanufacturing ratio or produce parts from new materials. This paper develops a mathematical model to find how quality classification errors affect the optimal decisions for a lower limit of procurement quality of used products and a remanufacturing ratio under the lower limit and the expected profit of the manufacturer. Numerical analysis investigates how quality of used products, the reclassification cost and the remanufacturing cost of used products affect the optimal production planning and the expected profit of a manufacturer.

There is a growing demand for public kindergartens due to the problem of private kindergartens. However, when the kindergarten is built in the residential land development area, the cost of purchasing the land increases, and the overall project cost is increasing. This situation puts a lot of burden on educational finances. Therefore, to reduce the cost of establishing a kindergarten, it is required to revise related laws including act on the special cases concerning the procurement, etc. of school sites. The purpose of this study is to propose the revised laws to expand public kindergartens. In this study, the present situation of infants and kindergartens was analyzed through policy data and statistics. And the analysis of the investment evaluation data also analyzed the problems in establishing kindergarten. In addition, we conducted surveys and FGI analyzes on school sites and kindergarten related laws and regulations. Finally, this study aims to find a way to amend related acts of urban and architectural Planning for Invigoration of Public kindergarten establishment by analysis data.

Turn-key and CMF(CM for Fee) have been selected as procurement paths of large public projects in Korea. However, recently, researches and discussions on CMR(CM at Risk) have been popular as the Korean government seeks for alternative procurement paths to enhance the performance. In the CMR projects, the part who is responsible for construction management should predict and control the potential risks for guaranteeing benefits. In this paper, CMR projects in which a general contractor plays the role as CMr is mainly analyzed. We give attentions to risk management during construction process given that subcontractors, main parts in this phase, work in various ways and thus more chances for faults exist. In this case, for the general contractor, to recognize potential risks in previous to start construction works of subcontractor by means of virtual design and construction (VDC) must be essential to this end. The case study of practices on VDC in U.S in which CMR has been introduced can provide considerable aspects to implement it in Korea.

The purpose of this study was to comprehend the assignment and the procurement method of wood works' craftsman through the Salleung-dogamuigwes in royal tombs constructions in the late Joseon period. Following conclusions have been reached through the study. First, Carpenter and other nine craftsmen were introduced in carpentry works. The craftsmen were put in by occupation to maintain the quality of the government building construction by wood processing area. It was distinguished by frame member, Sujangjae, window framing wood, decorative member. Second, sawyer showed a sharp increase in the latter half of the 18th century and declined since the middle of the 19th century. This is closely related to the increase in demand for building materials and the growth of civilian wood products. As a maximum of 300 people have been assigned to the craftsmen in the woodwork, it can be seen that the work has been divided by the process. Third, the national carpenter was difficult to procure from the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century. From the middle 18th century, the system procuring national carpenter was stabilized. In the 19th century, the input ratio of the national craftsmen seems to have decreased significantly and seems to have kept it at the minimum level. Forth, sawyer were procured through Seongonggam from the late 18th century through the mid 19th century. That means that the role of the sawyer had become important. Since Jogakjang is not a necessary manpower, it usually has civilian artisans.

This paper is based on the suggestions of the prior research on the buyer feedback, the selection of various product options, and the payment procedure improvements for Korea ON-line E-Procurement System(KONEPS), and this is to confirm the necessity of improvement and satisfaction from the viewpoint of the workers of the public and subordinate organizations the purchasing and using of the computer equipment in the actual KONEPS(Korea ON-line E-Procurement System). Based on the basic questionnaires and in-depth interviews, this paper conducts the qualitative case studies on IT and non - IT workers who had purchasing experiences for equipment at public institutions and government agencies in Gyeongbuk province. As results of the study, it was confirmed that the improvement is necessary for the buyer feedback and option selection part, and that there is a difference among the work experience for the simplification of the payment procedure and the satisfaction. In addition, the biggest contribution in the provided research is to categorize and to analyze the opinions on the use of public and relevant subordinate research participants. Additional work will be needed for a large number of workers in public and subordinate organizations who have purchasing experiences for handling various procurement products and those working in the metropolitan area and other public and subordinate agencies.

We design an integrated production management system that incorporates management tasks of procurement of materials, production, and marketing. It includes MRP simulation on small or medium sized companies, design of databases, and definition of relevant objects in production environments. The system has been designed using object-oriented programming concept not only to represent the real-world situation easily, but also to help system integration. Graphics-User Interface(GUI) is also employed for the efficiency of production planning.
