  • We meet many difficult challenges from many factors such as crime, natural disasters, social unrest, financial problems, employment, and so on. It therefore essential to cope with these negative stressful events to attain a state of personal well-being. Lately in the field of psychology and psychiatry, a concept called 'resilience' has received increasing attention. Resilience embodies the personal qualities that enable one to thrive in the face of adversity. Also it refers to the process of overcoming the negative effect of risk exposure, coping successfully with adversity, and avoiding the negative trajectories associated with risks. Resilience people were expected to do their innovative work behavior well. And SUS(supervisor support), COS(coworker support), OEMC(organizational error management culture) influence the relationship of resilience between Innovative Behavior. This study focused on three question. First, how is resilience relate to individual performance in the organization? And second, are there any moderate factors between resilience and individual performance. As the result of the hierarchical regression analysis, resilience indicates positive effects on IB and IB was predicted by interaction of resilience by SUS and OEMC. Findings in this study indicated that the level of SUS and OEMC should be considered in interpreting the resilience and Innovative Behavior.

  • Since the beginning of a new century, many Korean construction and engineering companies are facing a very dynamic and fast changing business environment which includes severe competition, higher risk, economic depression, declining revenues and profits, etc. In order to cope with these challenges, they need to secure special capabilities to actively adapt to the paradigm changes. One of those capabilities could be project management capability which allows us to manage organizational resources dynamically and integratively based on project portfolio management concept. The objective of this study is to investigate how the dynamic capability of a project-based organization to control the resource affects the firm performance and the competitive advantages. Data was collected from the construction and engineering companies in South Korea by using survey questionnaire, and analyzed for empirical tests by using statistical methods such as structural equation modelling and path analysis. The results showed that the organizational resources, if they had the VRIN characteristics, would have positive impacts on creating the dynamic capabilities for project organization. In turn, the dynamic capabilities of a project organization would have impacts on improving business performance and creating competitive advantages. Also, it was found that the organizational resources may have direct impact on business performance and competitive advantages. The academic contribution of this study is that it attempts to integrate resource based view and the dynamic capability theory about creating competitive advantages for project based organization. This study also provided practical implications to the companies in construction industry by showing how to use organizational resources strategically to create competitive advantages.

This study focused on the problem of lack of communication, that is, organizational silence, which is commonly pointed out in previous studies as a problem of church organizations, and empirically analyzed the relationship between organizational silence, organizational cynicism, and organizational commitment within church organizations. For this purpose, a questionnaire was distributed to 210 members of churches and related organizations from May to June 2023, of which 202 copies were used as analysis data. SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 were used to perform frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation model analysis, and bootstrapping to verify mediation effects. As a result of the study, organizational silence had a negative effect on organizational cynicism, and organizational cynicism had a negative effect on organizational commitment. Although organizational silence did not have a direct negative effect on organizational commitment, it was found to have a negative effect mediated by organizational cynicism. This study expanded the scope of the study by applying variables from organizational theory to church organizations, and presented practical implications through the research results to church organizations.

  • Organizations are attempting a digital transformation that converts physical business processing into virtual business processing. Through this digital transformation, organizations are overcoming time and space constraints and creating competitiveness. The digital transformation of this work environment has been accelerated as many organizations have implemented remote work due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. This study focused on business process virtualizability, which is the result of the rapid digital transformation of the work environment. Business process virtualizability is the resulting quality, such as the suitability or excellence of business processing in a virtual environment. This research model is the effect of process, IT and organizational characteristics on business process virtualizability. As a result of the verification of people who have experienced remote work in a virtual environment, first, it was confirmed that, in terms of process characteristics, sensory requirements affect business process virtualizability, but relationship requirements, synchronism requirements, and identification and control requirements do not. Second, in terms of IT characteristics, it was confirmed that representation and reach affect business process virtualizability. Third, it was confirmed that, in terms of organizational characteristics, job autonomy affects business process virtualizability, but evaluation unfairness does not. This study found that representation and reach of IT had the most significant influence on business process virtualizability, job autonomy was next, and sensory requirements had the lowest influence. This presents practical implications for organizations to increase the success potential of business process virtualizability.
