Methodology of Coding Education in Computer Science (컴퓨터 과학분야 코딩 교육 방법론)

  • 제 4차 산업혁명이 시작되고 있는 지금 소프트웨어 개발자의 수요가 늘어나고 이들의 교육이 중요해 지면서, 초, 중 고등학교 컴퓨터 코딩 교육이 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현재 운영되고 있는 컴퓨터 과학 분야의 코딩 교육과 관련된 정부 및 비영리 교육기관들의 동향을 살펴보고, 정보올림피아드 경시 및 공모부분 대회, 해커톤을 통해 컴퓨터 과학 코딩 교육의 향후 방향성을 제시하였다. 이후, 코딩 교육을 통해 응용가능 한 학문분야에 대해서 다루었으며, IT 생태계의 활력을 불어넣은 스타트업 창업 사례를 제시함으로서 이후 코딩 교육을 받았을 때 향후 진로에 대해서 알아보았다.

A Study on Coding Education of Non-Computer Majors for IT Convergence Education (IT 융합교육을 위한 비전공자 코딩교육의 발전방안)

  • Coding education is an effective convergence type educational tool. While solving problems and designing programs, students can enhance problem solving ability, logical reasoning ability and creative thinking. Researches on coding education are done primarily for elementary school and middle school students. However, researches on college students are lacking. Today, educating college students about coding is in dire need. Although there are efforts to promote the importance of coding education and make it requirements. People find it difficult to find ways to provide training. There is a need for researches on coding as universal education. Therefore, this research proposed educational training using app inventor based on flipped running in order to effectively promote coding education. This study conducted the survey and the personal interview to measure the effectiveness of coding education. It is hoped that, through coding education, students who do not major in coding could combined their knowledge of their major with coding to improve their problem solving ability to solve various problems based on computing knowledge and approach.

  • 본 연구는 IT 비전공 대학생을 위한 코딩교과목 개발을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 선행연구 및 이론탐색을 통해 대학교양 교과목으로서 코딩교육을 탐색하고, 적용 가능한 수업모형 및 교육내용을 선정하여 기초내용을 구성한 후 3인의 교육공학 전문가와 3인의 코딩교과목 개발 유경험 대학교수를 대상으로 FGI 인터뷰 방법을 통하여 연구결과를 도출한다. 대학교양 교과목으로서 코딩교육의 필요성이 대두되고 있음에도 불구하고 현재 운영 중인 코딩교과목은 프로그래밍이 중심으로 구성되어 비전공 대학생들에게는 환영받지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 코딩교과목의 방향을 컴퓨팅사고 및 SW 기초교육을 목표로 메타버스 등의 플랫폼을 활용한 체험중심 수업설계를 통해, 실행 가능한 수업모형을 개발하고 대상자 인터뷰와 분석을 통해 이를 위한 교수학습방법을 설정할 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 제시될 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 체험중심 코딩교육은 이후 고등교육기관의 교딩교육 교과목 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것이다

A Study on the Effectiveness of IoT Coding Education Using Microbit (마이크로비트(MicroBit)를 활용한 IoT코딩 교육 효과성에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, we compared and analyzed the Arduino-based IoT coding environment, which is most frequently used in OSHW, and the microbit-based IoT coding environment developed and spread in the UK. The results show that a microbit-based educational environment can offer a variety of benefits. Although the basic problems are defined and compared, many differences occur. Microbit-based environment has less overhead than Arduino-based environment, which is effective for IoT coding education.

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance the creative activity of youth through coding programs on the subject of Arduino. In order to achieve the purpose of the research, it studies the development of coding education based on Arduino, which is cheaper and generally available for universal use. In addition, in order to verify the program, it applies to the 12 schools in Gwangju Jeonnam and produces the improvements. The results of the study are as follows : first, the coding education program centered on Arduino was developed from a fusion perspective through a procedural model(plan - design - action - evaluation - improvement) and applied to a pilot class. Second, the effectiveness of the student satisfaction survey and the interviews of teachers were analyzed. Third, the improvement of the coding education program is accepted and applied to the next program.

  • 현대의 프로그램들은 과거의 프로그램들에 비해 복잡성이 커졌다. 그러한 변화에 따라 협력 프로젝트가 과거에 비해 일반화 되었고, 프로그램의 디버깅이 어려워졌다. 현대의 프로그래머들에게는 원활한 협력 프로젝트의 진행과 쉬운 디버깅을 위해 코딩 스타일 준수의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 프로그래머가 소스 코드를 작성할 때 코딩 스타일의 준수 여부는 가독성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 하지만 프로그래머가 코딩 스타일을 준수하지 않는다고 해도 눈에 보이는 에러가 발생하지 않는다. 그렇기 때문에 코딩 스타일은 초심자 시절의 교육이 중요하다. 이 논문에서는 효과적으로 코딩 스타일을 교육하기 위한 스타일 직소 프로그램을 구현하였다. 스타일 직소 프로그램은 코딩 스타일의 준수 정도 직소 퍼즐 형태로 보여주고, 코딩 스타일이 준수되지 않은 부분을 표시하여 줌으로써 보다 효과적으로 코딩 스타일 교육이 가능하게 한다. 본 논문에서 구현된 스타일 직소 효과를 확인하기 위해 부산대학교 컴퓨터공학과 학부 학생들을 대상으로 스타일 직소를 사용하여 코딩 스타일 교육을 실시하였다. Java 프로그래밍 교과 실습 수업에 스타일 직소 프로그램을 적용시켜 본 결과 64%의 학생이 스타일 직소가 코딩 스타일 향상에 도움이 되었다고 답하였고, 52%의 학생이 본 프로그램의 접근법이 흥미로웠다고 답하였다.

Research on Coding Education using Viscuit (Viscuit을 활용한 코딩 교육에 관한 연구)

  • In this research, we introduce advantages of Viscuit which is an educational programming language developed in Japan and propose a possibility of using Viscuit to introduce coding. Specifically, we conducted experiments against students using both the manual and the focused study guide and the results indicated that they became familiar with coding easily without the knowledge of Japanese. Even though Viscuit is less well-known than languages such as Scratch and LightBot, it is very easy to practice coding using Viscuit because all that users need to do is manipulating pictures simply and it is expected that Viscuit will serve as a useful vehicle by which students can learn how to code.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the current state of coding education for children and to propose a new 'play-oriented' educational content to keep up with the problems of education in line with the revision process of the 4th Industrial Revolution. As a research method, we investigated and analyzed the case of the Korean early childhood coding education program, and then suggested the direction of the future infant coding education and suggested a new play area for children. Case analysis shows that current coding education places many restrictions on children's activities. So we propose a coding education space as a 'playing space' where children can actively play. Because the space is used, emotional education is possible because it can stimulate senses such as vision, touch and smell. In addition, this study is expected to cultivate not only spatial comprehension, but also imagination, creativity and cooperation. In future research, we will study the characteristics and technical process of children in-depth to help develop early childhood education.

An analysis of the Impact of AI Maker Coding Education on Improving Computing Thinking (AI 메이커 코딩 교육이 컴퓨팅 사고력 향상에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This study analyzed the effect of AI maker coding education on improving students' computational thinking. The subjects of the study were 10 students at H Elementary School in Ansan, and a total of 8 AI maker coding education using the Instructional Model for Maker Education based on SW Coding was applied to students to find out the degree of improvement of computational thinking. Students who participated in the class performed a process of solving real-life problems through coding and making activities, measured the degree of improvement in computing thinking before and after education through a computing thinking test paper, and observed students' thinking processes related to computing thinking components through interviews. As a result, it was confirmed that the average score of all students' computational thinking skills was improved, and the deviation of scores between students decreased. Through the interview, it was found that students actively utilize their thinking skills related to computational thinking skills in the problem-solving process. Through this, it was confirmed that AI maker coding education can have a positive effect on improving students' computing thinking skills.

  • Recently, the introduction of the elementary and middle school software education essential courses in 2018, the emergence of educational solutions, and the need for digital content for software education rather than simple coding. In addition, in the case of current coding education, it is necessary to study how to induce interest in elementary, middle and high school students. In this study, we included the interactive (UX / UI) function using MR(Mixed Reality) and induced interest in coding education, and it was possible to cultivate logical thinking by applying storytelling coding rather than injection education. Suggested way. As a result of research, elementary, middle, and high school students easily proposed logical thinking education beyond the existing injection education method using mixed reality(MR) technology, and will break away from the injection coding education which is a problem of the school and school.
