There have many studies seeking for an effective IS planning approach. These studies mainly considered organizational characteristics, external factors, and IS planning process as key factors influencing ISP outcome. ISP output, however, was less focused, which is believed to have a more direct relationship with ISP outcome. In this study we attempt to study empirically how architectural quality of ISP output impacts on ISP outcome.

Today many firms rely on information systems planning (ISP) to remain competitive by transforming their business model and redesigning their IT architecture. In spite of some great success stories, many firms are having a lot of difficulty with ISP. Previous research has found a number of critical factors for ISP. However, these studies have focused mainly on organizational characteristics. In contrast, our study has taken into consideration organizational work and planning process as main critical factors for ISP performance. Empirical results indicate that the ISP performance has a stronger relationship with ISP planning process rather than organizational work characteristics.

This study provides the most simplified ISP method while involving management strategy, organization process analysis, redesign and information system implementation strategy to enhance the feasibility and the efficiency of ISP. So this study compared the scope and the development projects of ISP and ERP. Through this, it provided a ISP connection model as a solution to effective process implementation and redesign and conducted study to provide systematic access method according to IT strategy implementation, process redesign and reengineering.

The P2P IPTV will create a new paradigm for the Internet services. However, it cannot guarantee the reliability of their server and QoS because of using common Internet users(peers) for SIP server or relay server, though the infrastructural cost is low. This paper proposes the ISP-based P2P IPTV architecture which can solute the limitations of conventional P2P-based IPTV. In this model, ISP can build P2P overlay network with ISP servers and directly manage each server needed for session connection. So, the servers have higher performance and better reliability than previous one. Besides, robustness is improved because each sever is set by P2P overlay network. To evaluate the characteristics of the ISP-based P2P IPTV architecture, we simulate it for some parameters which are end-to-end streaming delay time, connection delay time and traffic amount. We compared the proposed architecture with the conventional P2P architecture about video service and confirmed that the performance of ISP-based P2P IPTV is better than conventional P2P based IPTV.

It is necessary to assess and reap the benefits of integrating BP(Business Planning) and ISP(Information Systems Planning) in creating competitive advantage and ensuring superior financial performance. Securing and maintaining of integration between BP and ISP is frequently cited as a critical concern of IS managers. In general, however, BP and ISP are not integrated, and organization's strategy isn't supported effectively. Therefore, this paper identifies the current stage of BP-ISP integration of Korean insurance industry based on the survey and then reveals inhibiting factors and enabling factors for BP-ISP integration through the interview with IS managers of type 3 and type 4 companies. The results of this paper suggest factors to accomplish BP-ISP integration successfully for companies which are considering BP-ISP integration.

인터넷이 관심을 불러 일으키면서 우후죽순처럼 ISP들이 생겨나기 시작했다. 현재 인터넷 서비스를 하고 있는 ISP는 모두 18개나 된다. 물론 이중에는 3개의 비영리망이 있기 때문에 실질적으로 이익을 목적으로 하는 ISP는 15개이다. 겉으로는 이들 대부분이 당장의 이익에 집착하지 않는다고 입을 모으고 있다. 하지만 이들은 손익을 맞추기에도 급급한 실정이다. 그러나 이러한 현실을 타개하기 위해 무료 서비스 등 갖가지 묘안을 내고 있다. ISP들의 현황을 점검해 본다.

The ISP 98 is developed by the American Institute of International Banking Law & Practice in 1998. The ISP98 are also published as ICC Publication No. 590. A detailed commentary on the rules("The Official Commentary on the International Standby Practice") has been written by Professor James E. Byrnes. Presently there is no compelling reason to revise the rules themselves even if ten years is passed since the issuance of ISP98. Insteadthe American Institute of International Banking Law & Practice will provide Model Forms in the early 2009. Special features of the ISP 98 are as the following. Firstly, the ISP 98 is copyrighted by the Institute of International Banking Law and Practice, Inc., and published by the International Chamber of Commerce. Secondly, the ISP 98 differs from UCP in style and approach because it must receive acceptance not only from bankers and merchants, but also from a broader range of those actively involved in standby law and practice corporate treasurees and credit manager, rating agencies, government agencies and regulators, and indenture trustees as well as their counsel. Because standbys are often intended to be available in the event of disputes or applicant insovency, their texts are subject to a degree of scrutiny not encountered in the commercial letter of credit context. Thirdly, the ISP 98 supplement the UCP if the UCP dose not have the relative rule. Lastly, the ISP 98 has the official commentary. In addition, several provision of the ISP 98 would surprise the commercial parties and/or are rather peculiar, while some of them display a certain bias in favor of the banks.

We usually applied PPP CHAP when the visited ISP subscriber accesses to authentication server in own home ISP network and IP Assignment for remote Internet service. But PPP CHAP doesn't support in case of visited ISP subscriber in GPRS network accesses to authentication sorrel in own home ISP network for wireless Internet service. We suggest solution for this problem with PPP CHAP improvement. For this we propose the modified PPP CHAP message format, PCO Message format at MT, and interworking message and format between GGSN and RADIUS in home ISP network for wireless internet service of mobile ISP subscriber at GPRS network in this paper. We also show authentication results when visited mobile ISP subscriber via PPP CHAP at GPRS network accesses the RADIUS server in home ISP network.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of strategic roles of IS and characteristics of ISP on the performance of ISP in view of contingency theory. In particular, this study is to find out whether there is a fit between two contingent variables. To evaluate the effects of two independent variables on the dependent variable empirically, a field research method using questionnaires with depth interview was employed. Findings of the field study are as follows: First, the main effect of strategic roles of IS on performance of ISP is found to be significant. This implies that the higher the strategic importance of IS, the better the performance of ISP expected. Second, the effect of characteristics of ISP on the dependent variable is also found to be significant. Organizations which recognize IT as an important competitive weapon for their business, and adopt Technological and Organizational approaches in ISP, have shown to obtain excellent results. Third, the interaction effect of two contingent variables is not found. There is no evidence for a fit between the strategic roles of IS and the characteristics of ISP. This shows that the differences of ISP performance are to be explained by only independent effect of two contingent variables.

The effect of methionine supplementation to the isolated soyprotein(ISP) diet on the growth, body metabolism and composition of the Albino male rats was studied. Three levels(0.3,0.6 and 0.9%) of methionine were supplemented to the ISP diet with the constant levels of energy and protein of 3,600 kcal/kg and 20%, respectively. The body weight and weight gain of the growing rats were significantly increased by 0.3% methionine supplementation to the ISP diet compared to the ISP diet(P< 0.05).The effects of methionine supplementation to the ISP diet tended to be larger with increasing of the level of methionine supplementation, 0.6 and 0.9%, were statistically insignificant. Food and gross energy intake of growing rats fed the ISP diet or the ISP supplemented with methionine diet were lower than those fed the casein diet(P< 0.05). FER and PER of all the methionine supplemented diets were higher than those of the ISP or casein diet (P< 0.05) without significant differences among the supplementation levels of methionine to the diets. The weight gain of adult rats fed 0.9% methionine supplemented ISP diet were higher than those of the other treatments with significant difference. The effects of methionine supplementation to the ISP diet on the protein digestibility, BV, NPU, N-balance, N-retention, and body and liver compositions were not significant.
