ISO 9000 인증 준비의 문제점 및 추진 절차 (Problems in Preparing for ISO 9000 Series Certification in Korean Industry)

  • With the increasing competitions and globalization of markets, quality has become rather crucial. Because of the significance of the quality, ISO 9000 quality standards has been used in Korea companies. It is difficult to understand ISO 9000 series since the expressions used in the series are not specific, but comprehensive. It is even more difficult to implement the quality system. This paper describes the problems found during the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9000 standards in companies.

  • The ISO 90000 Quality System Certification is one of trends over the world. Many companies and organizations want to achieve the ISO 9000 certificate. But, some of companies did not fully consider the needs of certification before the decision of establishing the quality system to ISO 90000. If a company/organization wants to establish its unique quality system, it should consider some of points in the identification of needs, definition of application scope, effective ways of system establishing, top management committement, composition of task force team, practical involvement and development, analysis of process and assigned job functions, adoption of changes of business circumstances, and practical implementation of its unique quality system.

도서관 서비스의 품질인증제도 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Quality Certification System in Library Services)

  • 본 논문은 세계적인 품질인증제도를 도서관 및 정보센터의 서비스 품질 평가에 활용할 수 있도록 이들 제도의 특성을 비교 ${\cdot}$ 분석하고, 외국 도서관의 적용사례를 고찰한 것이다. 본 논문의 분석 결과, TQM을 기반으로 한 데밍품질상, 말콤발드리지 국가품질상, 유럽 품질상의 품질인증기준은 광범위하고 동적이며, 고객 지향적인 제도인 반면, ISO 9000 품질 인증 제도는 협소하고, 정적이며, 명세서의 일치여부를 평가하는 내부지향적 제도임이 밝혀졌다.

  • The effect of ISO 9000 jcertification for quality management is investigated. 213 domestic manufacturing companies which had been certified more than one and half year ago were selected to send the questionnaires for a field survey. Among them 89 were returned. Crosby's Quality Management Maturity Grid' is utilized for analyzing the effect of ISO 9000 certification aquistion. Comparisons for the QM maturity level are made between before- and after-aquisition. It is shown that, on the average, the QM maturity level had been increased from awakening (stage 2) to the mid point of enlightenment(stage 3) and wisdom(stage 4).

  • 본 연구는 ISO 9000 시리즈 인증을 획득함으로써 품질보증시스템구축 뿐만 아니라, 이미 기존 논문들에서 밝혀진 품질의식향상, 관리능력향상, 품질시스템 확립 등의 효과들로 인한 제품의 품질향상정도를 파악하기 위한 것이다. 제품의 품질향상을 확인하기 위해서 설계품질, 제조품질, 서비스품질의 향상분석뿐만 아니라 Garvin의 8가지 제품품질특성 향상분석도 이루어졌다.

  • Korean small and medium industrial company might be better if we make continuous effect to improve the quality activities based on the factors which are presented in this paper. The adaptation of ISO 9000 has brought about some significant positive effects to domestic quality systems. However, some negative results occurred in domestic industries' rushing to fulfill the requirements of these new quality systems. This study is conducted using the data collected from 153 manufacturing companies. The primary objective of this research is to provide the efficient implementation process of ISO 9000 certification on the basis of total quality management. This analysis is able to apply for domestic industrial company to establish and maintain the development of quality systems.

  • This paper studied about effects of the certificate of ISO 9000 in the manufacturing companies whose number of employee is under three hundred. First, most of company answered that acquiring the certificate of ISO 9000 is very helpful for the company management. therefore the company has the competence in the change of domestic and international economy. Second, after acquiring the certificate of ISO 9000, there were many improvements in company culture, quality control and business process productivity. As a result, the acquisition of the certificate of ISO 9000 system makes the company culture preparing the future to become a world first class company.

  • 하도급관리는 하도급업체를 전문화, 계열화하여 성공적인 건설프로젝트를 수행하는데 있다. 품질관리에서 하도급관리는 하도급업체의 ISO9000시리즈의 품질시스템의 도입에서 그치는 것이 아니라 활성화가 이루어질 수 있도록 하여 효율화를 기하고 체질 개선을 하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 하도급자가 ISO9000시리즈의 풀질시스템을 유지하는데 저해 요인을 TQM(Total Quality Management)의 개념을 응용한 설문조사로 분석하여, 개선을 위하여 하도급관리자인 원사업자의 역할을 모색해 보았다.

ISO 인증 중소기업의 사후관리에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the ISO 9000 Follow-up Management Practices of Korean Small Enterprises)

  • The ISO 9000 Follow-up Management Practices (FMP) as an integrated area including training, QM systems, management commitment, customer focus, communication and related issues are examined. A sample of 191 small and medium-sized firms data from mail survey is analyzed by the SPSSWIN. A model of FMP including three factors (Systems, Training, and Customer Focus) is introduced. In this paper, a focus is laid on the comparison between ISO 9000:1994 vs. ISO 9000:2000 or 05 9000 certificates and between groups classified by the time length after certification, and on regression relationships between FMP level and business performance. The result shows that the difference of FMP level is significant between two versions and between groups. Quality level and system satisfaction are influenced significantly by the three factors.

  • This paper attempts to identify empirically whether the certification of Quality Management System affects positively to firm performance using the sample sets of 200 SMEs in Korea who have adopted ISO 9000 majoring in the domestic markets as well as the overseas markets. The empirical study has been done on the assumptions and the hypothesis that the certification itself can conceptually and practically be considered an effective tool to improve the level of standardization of quality management system, and it would result in higher productivity and good corporate image by enabling firms to strengthen up their capabilities to achieve competitive advantage. The empirical findings show that the ISO 9000 has positively contributed to not only obtaining competitive advantage but also bringing about a superior firm performance as it would be, making sure that the certification itself would be used as a powerful tool for good management. This study also pinpoints that the success/failure in introducing & adopting the certification depends highly upon the managers' interests and concerns, especially the CEO's.
