  • ISO 9001:1994 / KS A 9001:1998 was recently revised as ISO 9001:2000 / KS A 9001:2001, so as to be used in non-manufacturing companies as well. In this paper, a model for quality management system in public administration sector was proposed by customizing ISO 9001:2000 / KS A 9001:2001. The proposed model is compatible with ISO 9001:2000 / KS A 9001:2001, and expected to be used as a guideline for those people who are involved in establishing quality administration system in public sector.

  • Recently, CMM have been recognized as a critical factor to validate the competitiveness of software organizations, even if the organizations have already achieved the ISO9001 certification. Furthermore, the new version of ISO9001:2000 is being required instead of ISO9001:1994. Both CMM and ISO9001 have a common point that they pursuit quality improvement for the organizations processes and products. Therefore, it is important to understand the similarities of specific requirements between the two models in software organizations which attempt to employ both of the models. From this background, this paper compares CMM and ISO9001 by considering the versions in 1994 and 2000 of ISO9001. The results of this research are likely to help software organizations ma]fe a decision for a strategy to adopt CMM and ISO9001.

  • Since ISO 9001 quality system was established in 1987, many companies have adopted it for assuring the quality of their processes. Not only manufacturing companies but service industries such as hospitals, armies, educational institutes, banks are now implementing ISO 9001 quality management system. In this study, we proposed the definitions of customers, manufacturing processes, products, and quality characteristics of the ISO 9001:2000(E) quality management system in university. An implementation procedure of ISO 9001:2000(E) quality management system in university was also suggested. Furthermore, we dealt with the case study of 'C' College's ISO 9001:2000(E) quality management system and showed some of its effects.

  • 2002년 7월부터 시행될 한국의 제조물책임법은 제조물의 결함으로 인한 소비자의 피해구제가 목적으로 이에 따라 기업으로서는 제품의 품질과 안전에 대한 부담은 더욱 증가하게 되었다. ISO9001:2000 품질경영시스템의 요구사항은 고객만족 지향에 대한 프로세스의 지속적인 개선을 강조하여 개정되었고, 고객의 요구는 제품의 안전을 더욱 중요시하는 추세로서 이러한 대응방안을 ISO9001:2000 품질경영시스템의 요구사항에서 고찰·제시하고자 한다. ISO9001:2000 품질경영시스템은 경영에 대한 프로세스 접근방식의 도입으로 프로세스의 입력사항으로 고객이 중요한 역할을 하며, 고객의 요구사항이 충족되었는지를 검토하며, 지속적인 고객만족을 위해 프로세스를 관리한다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 제조물책임법의 도입배경과 Is09001:2000 품질경영시스템의 특징을 고찰한다. 그리고, ISO9001:2000 품질경영시스템과 PL과의 관련성을 제고하여 제조물의 결함 유형별, 경영관리지침 항목, 소송상의 항목으로 분류하여 제조물책임 대응방안으로 ISO 9001:2000 품질경영시스템을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The ISO 9000 family of international quality management standards were revised on 15 December 2000. The ISO 9001:2000 standard is used for certification/registration and contractual purposes by organizations seeking recognition of their quality management system(QMS). We summarize key contents changed in ISO 9000:2000 family standards. To comply with ISO 9001:2000, we analyze the current QMS for steel outfit industry, using audit results from ISO 9001:1994 for seven steel outfit firms during last three years. We investigate statistical relationships between ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001:1994 requirements from a three dimensional contingency table with audit results. We observe that the importance of requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 sections makes a difference between companies.

  • ISO family와 CMMI는 조직의 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선을 위한 표준과 지침을 제공한다. ISO 9001은 품질경영 시스템에 관한 표준인 반면 CMMI는 프로세스 개선을 위한 모델이다. ISO 인증 조직은 지속적인 프로세스 개선을 위하여 CMMI를 적용할 필요가 있다. 그러나 용어나 적용 범위 및 내용의 상세함 등의 차이로 인해, ISO 인증 조직이 CMMI를 도입함에 있어서 어려움이 따른다. 이 논문에서는 ISO 인증 조직이 효과적으로 CMMI를 도입하기 위한 모델을 제안한다. 먼저 ISO 9001:2000의 요구사항과 CMMI 실행지침 사이의 관계를 기준에 따라 일대일 관계로 대응시킨다. 그런 후 CMMI 실행지침들을 ISO 9001:2000 용어와 형식으로 바꾸어 ISO 9001:2000 요구사항과 통합한 모델을 만든다. 이러한 모델은 ISO 조직에게 기존 자산과 새롭게 도입해야 할 사항을 통합 모델을 가지고 차이 분석(Gap Analysis)을 통해 보다 용이하게 식별할 수 있게 도움을 줄 것이다.

  • The organizations registered ISO 9000:1994 have upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 family through transition period by December, 2003. Some features of ISO 9001:2000 family are that it merged three ISO 9000 series, reduced 20 requirements to five major clauses, and focused on Plan-Do-Check-Act improvement cycle. We interviewed quality managers and staffs of 37 companies certified ISO 9001:2000 in Busan and Kyungnam provinces where most machine, metalwork, and manufacturing companies in South Korea are located. Using statistical analysis, we find out which status of firms are related with the requirements of five clauses. We also discover if there is any difference in performing the requirements depending on top managership, reasons for seeking ISO 9001:2000 certification, and ISO 9001:2000 operating period.

  • Most organizations adopt a process-based approach to manage their operations and now business process management(BPM) is a well-established concept. Because ISO 9001:2000 has been influenced by BPR and it also emphasizes process based, BPM can get together with ISO 9001:2000. Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information has taken ISO 9001:2000 certificate in November 11, 2003 and has implemented quality management systems based on BPM. We call it KQMS(KISTI Quality Management System). KQMS based on BPMS is a new example in field of ISO quality management and is expected to support process management well.

  • Beginning from July. 2000, the product liability of Korea is designed for reduction of customer loss by defective products. Therefore, most of company are supposed to be ready for taking care of safety and quality of products. ISO9001:2000 quality management system reform to emphasize continual improvement of the process with customer satisfaction. First of all, this paper start with introduction motive of the product liability and examine distinctive mark of the ISO9001:2000 quality management system. We consider the correlation between ISO9001:2000 quality management system and product liability and would like to propose product liability prevention by ISO9001:2000 quality management system with classification a defect style of product, the management guide and the law case.
