Transmitted power based dynamic rate control for CDMA2000 1x system (CDMA2000 1x 시스템을 위한 송신전력기반 전송률 제어방안)

  • In a CDMA system, the capacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of CDMA2000 1x system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. Different rate data traffic requires different transmitted power and rate controlling enables the system utilize radio resource more efficiently. A very simple rate control algorithm fer data calls in CDMA2000 1x system is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, by monitoring the total transmit power, we can simply adjust data rate to channel conditions and efficiently use radio resources. The proposed algorithm is easy to implement in power controlled CDMA systems.

  • In a CDMA system, the rapacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of CDMA2000 1x system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. In this paper, we show that the transmitted power can represent the total cell load and we propose a load control scheme for CDMA2000 1x system. CDMA2000 1x system has fast power control scheme and we can measure forward link cell load by using total transmitted power. In the proposed algorithm, by monitoring the total transmit power, we can simply adjust data rate to channel conditions and efficiently use radio resources. The proposed algorithm is practical algorithm to implement in the power controlled CDMA systems and enhances the system throughput and quality of service(QoS)

  • Wireless technology is glowing rapidly in the new millennium period. By this technical progress, new idea which separate CDMA 2000-1x service and existing mobile service by the account appears in interconnection market. Especially fixed operator and mobile operator insist contrary opinions. Account Separation of CDMA 2000-lx service is not studied despite it's importance. This paper deal with this subject and analyse logic of operators opinion. By the result of this paper, CDMA 2000-lx is more a 3rd generation service than a 2.5rd generation service and the current account separation criteria based on using frequency bandwidth is not desirable.

  • This paper presents a novel signal processing method for optimal beamforming of smart antenna system in cdma2000 1X mobile communication environments. This method utilizes characteristics of the reverse pilot channel of cdma2000 1X mobile communication systems, and applies them to improve the performance of an adaptive algorithm, which is used to a smart antenna system for beamforming.

  • In security layer in the CDMA2000 1x EV-DO, a standard - C.S0024-a v2.0 is being accomplished under the project of 3GPP2(3rd Generation Partnership Project2). Therefore, a security device is needed to implement the security layer which is defined on the standard document for data transfer security between AT(Access Terminal) and AN(Access Network) on CDMA2000 1x EV-DO environment. This paper realizes the security layer system that can make safe and fast transfer of data between AT and AN. It could be applied to various platform environments by designing and implementing the Security Layer in the CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Security Layer to which applies C.S0024-A v2.0 of 3GPP2.

  • The large portion of communication service areas move from a legacy wire-line voice service to mobile data service. For the purpose of satisfaction on market need, many communication systems should be installed and upgraded based on a mobile wide-band transmission facility. Recently, large part of communication service is based on internet protocol by packet switch techniques and required new technologies such as multimedia processing, QoS achievement, and mobility managememobile communication network such as IS-95A/B and CDMA2000-1X. In this paper, I analyzed the network architecture and service provision methods. in CDMA2000-1X nt. In korea, a CDMA communication technique is standardized for digital mobile communication systems. By using the analysed results, I will extract an efficient method for network evolution and a core technique for next generation mobile communication network.

  • cdma2000 1xEV(Evolution)-DO(Data Only)는 기존의 IS-2000 무선 프로토콜과 달리 패킷 데이터 서비스를 위한 전용 프로토콜로, 최대 2.4Mbps의 전송 속도를 제공한다. cdma2000 1xEV-DO는 이전의 프로토콜과 단리 무선 인터페이스 계층 구조에 따로 분리된 시큐리티 계층(security layer)을 가지며, 이 시큐리티 계층에서 패킷 데이터 서비스를 위한 인증과 암호화 서비스를 제공한다. 본 고에서는 패깃 데이터 서비스를 위한 전용 프로토콜인 chma2000 1xEV-DO의 시큐리티 계층의 4가지 프로토콜인 키 교환 프로토콜, 인증 프로토콜, 암호화 프로토롤, 시큐리티 프로토콜을 분석한다.

  • In this paper, we propose and implement a signal quality measurement algorithm for CDMA2000 1x terminal. The proposed algorithm is suitable to be implemented in software on a PC-based platform and extract the received signal after carrying out equalization, PN code acquisition and tracking, frequency and phase offset compensation with 4-oversampled input signal. Then, through despreading and demodulation with the extracted signal, the proposed algorithm regenerate the reference signal to be used in measurement. The signal quality is measured using this regenerated signal and the extracted signal.

  • This paper proposes downlink blocking model and approximation equation using lower bound approximation in order to determine the proper guard band between cdma2000 1X and WCDMA in handover areas. The frequency sharing conditions obtained by the model and approximation equation on blocking probability proposed in the paper, are co-site of base station and guard band higher than 1 MHz. Also, the proposed equation is in the form of Q-function. It is an analytical solution overcoming the drawback of recalculation, belonged to Monte-Carlo technique.
