The multicasting telecommunication is an important research as an applicable technique in the development of adaptable technique for modern mobile computing and mobile IP, because that is supposed to be a solution for transferring the large-size information on the mobile and wireless network with the narrow bandwidth. This paper will suggest one solution for the bidirectional tunneling and the local re-registration problems to support transferring mobile multicasting datagram by the partitioned network. The bidirectional tunneling technique is in use for mobile host moving around in a region and the local re-registration technique for crossing regions to reduce traffic load caused by transferring datagram along a long distance, and we compare those models with our suggested model by simulation.

For the auto-configuration of diverse hosts and automation of network management as many electronic machines and industrial components are becoming connected to Internet, it is possible to use autoconfiguration using DHCP and network management protocol such as SNMP, CMIP. But these technologies are not developed maturely and lack various standardizations yet because these are designed for restrictive purposes in the past. The new working group "Zeroconf" is made in IETF at March, 2000, it is aimed for making standards of autoconfiguration which is applied to impromptu ad-hoc networks in automobiles, trains, planes and home network or mobile networks. In this paper, we introduce the IPv6 based autoconfiguration technologies such as IP interface configuration, translation between host name and IP address, IP multicast address allocation and service discovery. Finally, trends of standardization in Zeroconf working group will be shown. be shown.
Full-mesh IPSec tunnels pass through a black ("unsecure") network (B-NET) to any red ("secure") networks (RNETs). These are needed in military environments, because they enable dynamically changing R-NETs to be reached from a BNET. A dynamically reconfiguring security policy database (SPD) is very difficult to manage, since the R-NETs are mobile. This paper proposes advertisement process technologies in association with the tunnel gateway's protocol that sends 'hello' and 'prefix advertisement (ADV)' packets periodically to a multicast IP address to solve mobility and security issues. We focus on the tunnel gateway's security policy (SP) adaptation protocol that enables R-NETs to adapt to mobile environments and allows them to renew services rapidly soon after their redeployment. The prefix ADV process enables tunnel gateways to gather information associated with the dynamic changes of prefixes and the tunnel gateway's status (that is, 'down'/restart). Finally, we observe two different types of performance results. First, we explore the effects of different levels of R-NET movements on SP adaptation latency. Next, we derive the other SP adaptation latency. This can suffer from dynamic deployments of tunnel gateways, during which the protocol data traffic associated with the prefix ADV protocol data unit is expected to be severe, especially when a certain tunnel gateway restarts.

Real-time communication and diversification of multimedia application services using high-capacity data over the Internet demand high speed connection, and real-time and high-speed access internet service such as multimedia make Internet traffic increase rapidly. Meanwhile, QoS (Quality of Service) of internet service is not satisfied. In this situation, ISP (Internet Service Provider) has been required to improve service quality and extend network according to the user's needs. This request includes issue of extending network focused on increasing router and the number of routing table as well as simply extending bandwidth.

PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) provides one-to-one as well as one-to-many communications with VoIP technology based on SIP over cellular networks. According to above property, PoC is considered as perscrptive technology for public protection for disaster relief networks. For this networks, group communication is the essential function. However, since current standardization process takes into general scenarios account without any consideration for mentioned networks, it have some problems in the point of adaptability. To solve above problem, in this paper, we propose how to reduce the overhead on the PoC server to reduce the transmission delay. Simulation results are shown to evaluate the improved performance.

Since 2000, the demand for multimedia content consumption has been continuously increasing. The research and standardization for the mobile broadcast service has been done to deliver multimedia contents to the huge number of users with the minimum cost. A few commercial services started after the related standards were released. We call this mobile broadcast service the 1st generation service. Now, many experts are researching and developing the technologies for 3Screens(TV, PC, and Mobile) Services that an user can enjoy multimedia contents at every place with the various networks and devices. To enable this service, two main technical areas exist. The first is a core network technology that can support the various access network and the second is a common application layer technology. To resolve these technical areas, we propose IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) based OMA BCAST(Open Mobile Alliance Mobile Broadcast Service Enabler Suite) as the technical solution for 3 Screen Services in the paper. In addition, we propose application layer multicast that is enable to implement IMS based OMA BCAST to the existing network with the minimum cost. Finally, we show how we can save the implementation cost of IMS based OMA BCAST with the simulation results.
In open communication architecture, application systems consist of objects distributed in lots of computing nodes. To reduce complexity of development. and management of distributed software, to manage efficiently distributed objects and to provide realtime service, the mechanisms for object group management and communication are needed in distributed environment. In this paper we compose object groups and provide reliable group communication mechanism based on CORBA which can adopt a new service without lots of changes on existing system. Group consist of some subgroups that subgroup manager manages for improving the efficiency of group management and message ordering is kept by using sequencer, Communication method among groups uses multicast based on paint to point communication as well as IP multicast and we provide high performance by using selective retransmission of message through message history, We analyze the performance of the proposed mechanism through simulation in distributed environment.

Advanced countries are very active in deploying the National Information I infrastructure which provides universal service to promise fruitful quality of futuree life. Even in the distributed environment, we can closely converse, work together, and share information in a very convenient way. This is actually enabled with the help of groupware technology, which are currently focused and researched in a larger popularity. The aim of this study is to design a portable pack for group communications management to support the development of groupware application. In the paper we begin with technical survey, continue to build our own model for group communications man agement, and design its architecture and procedure. We also suggest group addressing mechanism under Internet environment such as how to create IP multicast address and IP port number dynamically and as a globally unique value for the communication session, with the help of the hierarchical and distributed address managers. We also indicate the reliable data transmission services to remedy the unreliable feature of the UDP multicast services, and finally the architecture/ applied to support the practical applications is briefly discussed for verification of the designed concept.

The major source of errors in high-speed networks such as Broadband ISDN(B-lSDN) is buffer overflow during congested conditions. These congestion errors are the dominant sources of errors in 1high-speed networks and result in cell losses. Conventional communication protocols use error detection and retransmission to deal with lost packets and transmission errors. However, these conventional ARQ(Automatic Repeat Request) methods are not suitable for the high-speed networks since the transmission delay due to retransmissions becomes significantly large. As an alternative, we have presented a method to recover consecutive cell losses using forward error correction(FEC) in ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode)networks to reduce the problem. The performance estimation based on the cell discard process model has showed our method can reduce the cell loss rate substantially. Also, the performance estimations in ATM networks by interleaving and IP multicast service are discussed.
