  • In this paper, the IGBT VVVF inverter for 1C4M propulsion system of railway traction is studied. The inverter is consisted of IGBT stacks, a DB unit, and a control unit. The test results of the combined system is given, which shows an excellent performance of the overall system.

  • 본 논문은 전동차용 추진장치인 IGBT VVVF 인버터의 현차시험에 관한 것이다. IGBT VVVF인버터는 1,650kVA급으로 개발되었다. 추진 인버터의 신뢰성과 성능을 확인하기 위하여 서울시 지하철 6호선에서 본선시험을 하였다. 시험 차량구성은 4M4T로 구성되었으며, 전장품은 4대의 VVVF인버터, 16대의 견인전동기 및 2대의 SIV로 구성하였다. 추진장치는 1C4M으로 구성하였다. 현차시험을 통하여 추진용 인버터의 우수한 가·감속 능력과 가가속도 특성 및 구배에서의 등판능력을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes about the field test of IGBT VVVF inverter for the propulsion system. The 1650kV class IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows : VVVF inverter 4 sets 16 traction motors and 3 SIVs The propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk chracteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.

  • This paper studied on the VVVF Inverter for 1C4M propulsion system of railway traction. The paper includes the comparison along a VVVF Inverter electric power conversion element for an electric railcar(GTO, IGBT). These inverters are composed of high power IGBTs and controlled by compact control units. The stack is simplified and optimized by using plate bus and IGBT driver units of hybrid-type.

  • This paper describes the full load test results of IGBT VVVF inverter for the railway propulsion system. The 1,650kVA IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore, the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T(4 Motor car 4 Trailer Car) and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows VVVF inverter 4 sets, 16 traction motors and 2 SIVs. The propulsion system is composed with IC4M(1-Controller 4-Motors). The results of propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk characteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.

  • 본 논문은 새로운 제어기법의 고성능 전동차 추진용 IGBT VVVF 인버터에 관한 것이다. 현차 적용 전에 견인력 제어성의 우수함과 안정성을 검증하기 위해, 현차 조건에서 발생될 수 있는 경우에 대한 모의 주행시험을 실시하고 그 결과를 보인다. 모의 주행시험은 160톤의 차량을 등가화한 관성부하장치를 이용하여 정상상태는 물론 전압변동 등 각종 과도상태에 대해서도 실시하였다. 본 논문에서는 4병렬 접속된 견인전동기의 토오크 제어성 향상을 위한 벡터제어기법 적용과 공간벡터 변조기법에 동기방식을 적용하여 500Hz이하의 저주파 스위칭으로써 6스텝까지 연속 과변조 제어가 가능한 최적의 PWM방법을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, we present IGBT VVVF inverters as a 1C1M propulsion system for electric car. These inverters are composed of high power IGBT's and controlled by compact control units. The control unit performs full digital control by using 32bit DSP and microcontroller. By using CAN-bus, high speed network is constructed within four control units. The stack is simplified and optimized by using plate bus and IGBT driver units of hybrid-type.

  • This paper presents a vector control of parallel drive, a beatless control and a low switching PWM technique for the propulsion system of Electric car as transient state which are included interrupting line voltage, changing line voltage slowly, suddenly, regenerating light load and starting from backward running. Improved performance and a validation of proposed method is shown by the experimental results using a 1.65MVA IGBT VVVF inverter and inertia load equivalent to 160 tons electric cars through a running and transient state test.
