A Study on the Development of ICT Curriculum for Private Security Workers (민간경비 종사자의 ICT직무교육과정 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study developed the ICT curriculum focusing on apartment security guards and analyzed the actual application results. We developed the educational contents and it designed ICT job courseware for elder education by considering and that designed in consideration of the computer attitudes and physical and cognitive characteristics of the elderly. The educational program was applied to the experimental group and the satisfaction and the educational effect were analyzed through the pre and post test results. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction level of the education program was higher than the average of 4.00 points. The elderly informal education program was examined by using the qualitative assessment test tool before and after the application of the education program. Internet self-efficacy of experiment group, improvement of internet utilization ability, usage of internet use, personal information willingness, life correction, elimination of conflict among generations, self-confidence, and internet stress increased statistically significantly. These results suggest that the "Private Expense ICT Job Training" program developed in this study can be effective for elderly informatization and can be applied to other elderly education programs and contribute to promotion.

A study on the effect of importance of information and communication technology service in fashion stores on behavior intention (패션 매장의 정보통신기술(ICT) 서비스 중요도가 행동 의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • Recent developments in information and communication technologies (ICT) can be applied in stores, and the number of fashion stores that have introduced and utilized ICT are increasing. By applying a literature review and empirical research, the types of ICT service factors of fashion stores were identified and categorized. The effect of their importance on consumer behavioral intentions was analyzed. Next, using factor analysis on the ICT service factors, five factors were identified and named as follows: smart space services, smart payment services, virtual image services, product information services, and smart access services. The importance of these factors was then analyzed. The importance of each factor and detailed questions was rated above average. After examining the effect of ICT service on behavior intention, issues such as purchase intention, revisit intention, and word of mouth intention were found to have significant influence. This study is meaningful in that it derives the importance factors of ICT services that can be used in fashion stores in a situation where retail techniques become important and expand, and provides marketing strategies related to consumer behavior according to detailed factors. With retail tech becoming more important and expanding, it is necessary to provide various services that consumers value by utilizing ICT in fashion stores. Considering the results of this study, ICT technology and services of various fashion stores can be effectively utilized and retail tech utilization performance can be improved.

Social Welfare Education and ICT(Information and Communication Technology) Utilization: Contents Analysis (사회복지교육과 ICT(Information and Communication Technology) 활용: 콘텐츠분석)

  • The aim of this study is to explore 'how is ICT being used in social work education and are they effective?' In order to answer the questions, a content analysis was conducted. Three academic databases, DBPIA, Kiss, EBSCO were searched to look for the articles that investigated ICT and social work education between Jan. 2016 and July, 2022. No study was found from DBPIA and Kiss. Based on inclusion criteria, thirteen articles were selected from EBSCO. Those articles were analyzed following 9 analytic themes: Country, Undergraduate or Graduate Student, Pedagogical Theory, Course Goal, Course Content, Evaluation Method, Outcome, Applied Software or Program. As results of the study, the platforms primarily used for social work education were VR, Second Life, PeopleSIM, course-tailored Applications. In addition, the following was illustrated as effectiveness of ICT in social work education; immersiveness, course satisfaction, improved knowledge, etc. Study limitations and recommendations of future applications were also discussed.

Development of Domestic Standardization in Smart Factory and Manufacturing Data (국내 스마트공장 및 제조 데이터 표준 개발 동향)

  • Smart manufacturing is defined as the fully ICT-based manufacturing process which digitized, optimized, and automized the of manufacturing system in smart factory which includes product planning, design, production, quality, stock, procure. In this paper, we introduce the development of domestic standardization of smart factory and manufacturing data which are generated in operation of smart factory. We focus on general standardization of smart factory/ICT-based manufacturing system and data transactions related issues since the range of standardization is too wide. Based on these standardization review, we discuss the several concerns for utilization of manufacturing data.

  • Agriculture plays an industrial and economic role, as well as an environmental and ecological conservation role, group harmony and the inheritance of traditional culture. However, no matter how advanced the industry is, the basic food necessary for human life can only be produced through the photosynthesis of plants with natural resources such as the sun, water, and air. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) predicts that the world's population will increase by another 2 billion people by 2050, and it faces a myriad of complex and diverse factors to consider, including climate change, food security concerns, and global ecosystems and political factors. In particular, in order to solve problems such as increasing productivity and production of agricultural products, improving quality, and saving energy, it is difficult to solve them with traditional farming methods. Recently, with the wind of the 4th industrial revolution, ICT convergence technology and artificial intelligence have been rapidly developing in many fields, but it is also true that the application of new technologies is somewhat delayed due to the unique characteristics of agriculture. However, in recent years, as ICT and artificial intelligence utilization technologies have been developed and applied by many researchers, a revolution is also taking place in agriculture. This paper summarizes the current state of research so far in four categories of agriculture, namely crop cultivation environment management, soil management, pest management, and irrigation management, and smart farm research data that has recently been actively developed around the world.

International Comparative Study of the Use of ICT by Middle School Teachers (중학교 과학 교사의 ICT 활용 실태 국제 비교)

  • In this study, we compared the use of information and communications technology (ICT) by middle school teachers in Korea and other countries utilizing the teacher survey data of the IEA International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) 2013. The ICILS target population consisted of all students in the eighth grade. We compared Korea with Australia, the Czech Republic, Norway, and Poland, which are nations showing the highest achievements in computer and information literacy. We selected nine questions from the teacher questionnaire and divided them into the categories of computer use, use of ICT for teaching and learning, and the ICT support environment in school. In comparison to their counterparts in other countries, Korean middle school science teachers used computers frequently and also had high ICT self-efficacy. They were confident in their ability to use computers for general tasks, but not in their ability to use computers for teaching and learning. The Korean teachers also had a high percentage of utilization of presentation and graphics software. Also, the proportion of activities concerning the information provided and teacher-led tasks was high, but the proportion of activities for student collaboration or peer interaction was low. In Korea, middle school science teachers had more negative than positive views of using ICT in teaching and learning. The teachers thought that computer-related resource support and digital learning materials were insufficient and that the computer model was outdated in schools. Therefore, we propose to build an ICT infrastructure and to develop and disseminate ICT teaching and learning methods for student activities.

The Analysis of Teachers' Factors Influencing ICT literacy in Elementary and Middle School Students (초·중학생 ICT 리터러시 수준에 영향을 미치는 교사 요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate teacher factors influencing ICT literacy in elementary and middle school students. For this purpose, ICT literacy was measured in 6,383 students in $4^{th}$, $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ graders, 337 teachers in 150 elementary schools, and 9,183 students in $1^{st}$, $2^{nd}$ and $3^{rd}$ graders, 337 teachers in 150 middle schools. Additionally, we conducted multiple regression analysis to explore teachers' influential factors. As a result, our finding indicated that the level of teachers' computer literacy had a positive effect on elementary students' ICT literacy(overall and 7 sub-domains) while ICT utilization during class and teachers' age had a negative effect on elementary students' ICT literacy(overall and 7 sub-domains). In addition, we found that major in ICT education and the level of teacher education had a positive effect on middle students' ICT literacy(overall and 7 sub-domains). Based on the results of this study, we suggested increasing hours in the teachers' professional development and the pre-service and in-service teacher education course and supporting or promoting the self-development of the information school teachers in middle schools.

  • Companies are now rapidly entering the realm of the realtime economy named 'Now Economy'. 'Now Economy' features the measurement and assessment, accelerating speed of decision making about business. According to this, companies intend to change their disposition to be able to make quick and accurate decision by gathering informations rapidly and correctly, and then by processing that. Applications of ICT can be possible to change the new decision system of companies. In this thesis, the new decision system through amalgamations of BPMS, Mobile, Cloud Service, Hadoop, BI and AI is presented. It will be able to make decision quickly and accurately by collecting all information between the most efficiently managed process and formal and informal data inside company through this, and then by combining changes with situations outside company.

Information and Communications Technology in the Field of Public Security: Crime Prevention and Response System (치안분야의 정보통신기술 활용방안 연구 - 빅데이터기반 치안수요분석과 대응체계를 중심으로 -)

  • Rapid advances in information and communications technology are new challenges and also opportunities for the police. For the purpose of identifying its implications, this study reviews utilization cases of information and communications technology in the field of public security in South Korea and other countries. As theoretical basis for utilization of information and communications technology, this study introduces intelligence-led policing, predictive policing and evidence-based policing. Also, utilization of big-data based crime analysis and crime prediction technology, as well as advancement of information and communications system and command and control technology of the police, are discussed. Based on the identified implications in this study, the following proposals are made. They are (1) procuring basic data, (2) creating an integrated database, (3) increasing utilization of policy decision-makers, (4) exchange and cooperation between related institutions, (5) training professional analyzers, (6) establishing legal basis and practical guidelines for an integrated database.

Trend of ICT Education in Korea and Analysis of Overseas Cases (국내 ICT 교육 동향 및 해외 사례 분석)

  • This study examines the purpose and goals of ICT education, compares them with current software and artificial intelligence-oriented information curriculum, analyzes foreign SW curriculum, extracts learning topics and elements, and analyzes whether the current information curriculum is presented effectively. As a result of the analysis, the number of information-related courses in Korea is currently lower than in other countries, which has reduced the number of basic computer applications and underlying software applications such as presentations and spreadsheets covered in ICT training in the past. In addition, compared to Korea's curriculum where information education begins in the fifth grade of elementary school, other countries are introducing information education from the first grade to the third grade of elementary school. Therefore, active discussions on the expansion of the number of information education, the timing of introduction of information education, and the utilization of basic computers are needed.
