A Case study of Taeumin Esophagus Cold Pattern Patients with Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease(GERD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS) (GERD와 IBS를 동반한 태음인 위완한증 환자 치험례)

  • Objectives Rate of gastroesophageal reflux disease accompanied by irritable bowel syndrome is on the increase. This case study reports significant improvement of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and irritable bowel syndrome who had suffered from chest pain, globus pharyngis and diarrhea after taking Sasang constitutional treatment. Methods This patient was diagnosed as Large Yin type Esophagus Cold pattern(Taeeumin Wiwanhanjeung). Herb medicine(Jowiseungcheong-tang) was taken by the patient, three or two times per day during treatment periods. We assessed the changes of the main symptoms such as chest pain, globus pharyngis, defecation discomfort, insomnia et al. using visual analogue scale(VAS). Results The symptoms of chest pain, globus pharyngis, defecation discomfort, insomnia decreased from VAS 7~8 to VAS 0~1 for about three months. Conclusions This case shows that Sasang constitutional medicine treatment can be effective treatment method for gastroesophageal reflux disease accompanied by irritable bowel syndrome.

  • According to the development of the ships navigational equipment, a bridge system has been improved but a marine accidents by human error haven't been reduced Recently It's concerned about a suitable ergonomic arrangement and design of the ships bridge equipment to reduce an error for human factors. The bridge alarm system should be designed to recognize the alarm informations as soon as possible, to deliver it clearly. Internationally, there have been a lively discussion on the BAMS(Bridge Alarm Management System) for a ergonomic bridge design, but the practical design method have not been published. In this article I would like to review a ergonomic conceptual design for the ships bridge alarm system and propose a conceptual design of the Ergonomic Integrated Bridge Alarm Management System(EIBAMS)

  • Bi$_2$Sr$_2$CuO$_{x}$ thin films have been fabricated by atomic layer-by-layer deposition using ion beam sputtering(IBS) method. During the deposition, 10 and 90 wt%-ozone/oxygen mixture gas of typical pressure of 1~9$\times$10$^{-5}$ Torr are supplied with ultraviolet light irradiation for oxidation. XRD and RHEED investigations reveal out that a buffer layer with some different compositions is formed at the early deposition stage of less than 10 units cell and then Bi-2201 oriented along the c-axis is grown.n.

  • Ozone is useful oxidizing gas for the fabrication of oxide thin films. Accordingly researching on oxidizing gas is required. In order to obtain high quality oxide thin films, higher ozone concentration is necessary. In this paper oxidation property was evaluated relation between oxide gas pressure and inverse temperature(CuO reaction). The obtained condition was formulated by the fabrication of Cu metal thin film by co-deposition using the ion Beam Sputtering method. Because the CuO phase peak appeared at the XRD evaluation of the CuO thin film using ozone gas, this study has succeeded in the fabrication of the CuO phase at $825^{\circ}C$.

  • BSCCO thin films have been fabricated by co-deposition at an ultralow growth rate using ion beam sputtering(IBS) method. Bi 2212 phase appeared in the temperature range of 750 and $795^{\circ}C$ and single phase of Bi 2201 existed in the lower region than $785^{\circ}C$. Whereas, $Po_3$ dependance on structural formation was scarcely observed regardless of the pressure variation. And high quality of c-axis oriented Bi 2212 thin film with $T_c$ (onset) of about 90 K and $T_c$(zero) of about 45 K is obtained. Only a smd amount of CuO in some films was observed as impurity, and no impurity phase such as $CaCuO_2$ was observed in d of the obtained films.
