  • Objective: The I pig is a long nurtured longstanding breed in Vietnam, and contains excellent indigenous genetic resources. However, after 1970s, I pig breeds have become a small population because of decreasing farming areas and increasing pressure from foreign breeds with a high growth rate. Thus, there is now the risk of the disappearance of the I pigs breed. The aim of this study was to focus on classifying and identifying the I pig genetic origin and supplying molecular makers for conservation activities. Methods: This study sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome and used the sequencing result to analyze the phylogenetic relationship of I pig with Asian and European domestic pigs and wild boars. The full sequence was annotated and predicted the secondary tRNA. Results: The total length of I pig mitochondrial genome (accession number KX094894) was 16,731 base pairs, comprised two rRNA (12S and 16S), 22 tRNA and 13 mRNA genes. The annotation structures were not different from other pig breeds. Some component indexes as AT content, GC, and AT skew were counted, in which AT content (60.09%) was smaller than other pigs. We built the phylogenetic trees from full sequence and D loop sequence using Bayesian method. The result showed that I pig, Banna mini, wild boar (WB) Vietnam and WB Hainan or WB Korea, WB Japan were a cluster. They were a group within the Asian clade distinct from Chinese pigs and other Asian breeds in both phylogenetic trees (0.0004 and 0.0057, respectively). Conclusion: These results were similar to previous phylogenic study in Vietnamese pig and showed the genetic distinctness of I pig with other Asian domestic pigs.

  • Increase in avian species richness is one of the important issues of urban biodiversity policies, since it can promote diverse ecosystem services such as seed dispersal, education, and pollination. However, though human disturbance can significantly affect avian species richness, there are limited studies on the way to reflect the dynamics of floating population. Therefore, this study analyzed the spatial relationship between avian species richness, floating population, and vegetation cover using telecommunications information to identify the areas that requiring targeted monitoring and restoration action. Bivariate Local Moran's I was applied to identify LISA cluster map that showing representative biotopes, which reflect significant spatial relationship between species richness and population distribution. Edge density and distribution of ndvi were identified for evaluating relative adequacy of selected biotopes to strengthen the robust biodiversity network. This study offers insight to consider human disturbance in spatial context using innovative big data to increase the effectiveness of urban biodiversity measures.

  • This study identifies the foot shapes of elderly women by classifying foot type according to the 3D shape of the foot and 2D sole type analyzing individual characteristics. The subjects were 295 elderly women over 60 years of age who live in Gwangju. A foot scanner (K&I Technology $Nexcan^{(R)}$) was used to obtain three-dimensional shapes of feet and a flat bad scanner (HP Scanjet G2410) was used to obtain the two-dimensional shapes of soles. The anthropometric measuring items consisted of 59 items estimated on the right foot of each subject. Data were analyzed by various statistical methods such as factor analysis, ANOVA and cluster analysis using the SPSS 19.0 statistical program. To classify the side type of elderly women's feet, three-dimensional measurement data were analyzed for the 27 measurement items using factor analysis and 6 factors were extracted (inside height and side gradient, ankle thickness, toe height and midfoot size, lateral malleolus height, instep, and heel height and gradient). A cluster analysis resulted in three types: 36.5% belonged to Type 1 (high forefoot and high midfoot), 31.1% belonged to Type 2 (high forefoot and low midfoot), and 32.4% belonged to Type 3 (low forefoot and high midfoot). The distribution was relatively even. For the sole, 8 factors were extracted (ball width and medial foot protrusion, lateral foot protrusion, forefoot and hindfoot length ratio, ball gradient, heel size, toe breadth, lateral ball length, and foot length) and a cluster analysis resulted in three Types (Type H, Type D, and Type A). The largest proportion (42.7%) belonged to Type H, which is the same as the elderly men's case.

  • In this study, the performance of a parallel file system(N-PFS), which is inplemented using conventional disks as disk arrays on a Workstation Cluster, is analyzed by using analytical method and adtual values in experiments.N-PFS can be used as high-performance file sever in small-scale server systems and effciently pro-cess massive data I/Os such as multimedia and scientifid data. In this paper, an analytical model was suggested and the correctness of the suggested was verified by analyzing the experimental values on a system. The result of the appropriate stping unit for processing massive data of the Workstation Cluster with 8 disks is 64-128Kbytes and the maximum throughput on it is 15.8 Mbytes/ses.In addition, the performance of parallel file system on massive data is bounded by the time required to copy data between buffers.

  • Genes encoding enzymes with sequence similarity to hopanoids biosynthetic enzymes of other organisms were cloned from the hopanoid (hop) gene cluster of Streptomyces peucetius ATCC 27952 and transformed into Streptomyces venezuelae YJ028. The cloned fragments contained four genes, all transcribed in one direction. These genes encode polypeptides that resemble polyprenyl diphosphate synthase (hopD), squalene-phytoene synthases (hopAB), and squalene-hopene cyclase (hopE). These enzymes are sufficient for the formation of the pentacyclic triterpenoid lipid, hopene. The formation of hopene was verified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.

  • In this paper I have proposed a heuristic layout algorism which is important in the CAD system of VLSI. I have designed a placement algorism to be used the method which depends upon the synthetic judgment of human. The placement algorism can reflect the position of a module in a logical design circuit diagram drawn up by human beings. Also, in order to show the usefulness of the new method I have compared through a program experiment it with the former method of cluster development placement. Moreover, a routing algorism is proposed in order to reduce the excessive problem of memory capacity. Of course this new algorism compensates for the former Maze's defects.

  • Sequence analysis of the metabolically rich genome of Streptomyces peucetius ATCC 27952 revealed a 2,199 bp sesquiterpene alcohol (germacradienol) synthase-encoding gene from the germacradienol synthase/terpene cyclase gene cluster. The gene was named spterp13, and its putative function is as a germacradienol synthase/terpene cyclase. The amino acid sequence of Spterp13 shows 66% identity with SAV2163 (GeoA) from S. avermitilis MA4680 and 65% identity with SCO6073 from S. coelicolor A3(2), which produces germacradienol/geosmin. The full-length recombinant protein was heterologously expressed as a his-tagged fusion protein in Escherichia coli, purified, and shown to catalyze the $Mg^{2+}$-dependent conversion of farnesyl diphosphate to the germacradienol, which was verified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.

  • IT technologies(Chips, Grid and e-Science) are rapidly changed from 1965. In 1965, Intel co-founder Gordon Mooresaq the future. His prediction popularly known as Moore's law, state that the computer chips double in power every 18 months Grid computing offers a model for solving massive computational problems by making use of the unused resources of large numbers of disparate, often desktop, computers treated as a virtual cluster embedded in a distributed telecommunications infrastructure. In this paper, I will discuss current status of supercomputing technology and haw we can use these on CFD. Functionally, one can classify Grids into several types:

  • So far we have proposed the following constraint ranking for the (over-)application of the coda neutralization: (22) License family ≫ UE family ≫ IDENT-IO family ≫ Base-ID This analysis shows that only the surface level is enough to analyze the opaque behaviors of coda neutralization. Uniform Exponence constraint is worth further study since it can handle Consonant Cluster Simplification and underapplication of /t/-palatalization in Korean compounds in which morphemes before a stem are uniformly realized as one surface form: i.e., the output base form (S.
