자속-자화 전류 곡선과 전압-철손 전류 곡선을 이용한 측정용 철심 변류기의 보상 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a Compensating Algorithm for an Iron-cored Measurement CT using Flux-magnetizing Current Curves and Voltage-core Loss Current Curves)

  • This paper describes the design, evaluation and implementation of a compensating algorithm for an iron-cored measurement current transformer (CT) that removes the effects of the hysteresis characteristics of the iron-core. The exciting current resulting from the hysteresis characteristics of the core causes an error of the CT. The proposed algorithm decomposes the exciting current into the core loss current and the magnetizing current and each of them is estimated. The core loss current is calculated from the secondary voltage and the voltage-core loss current curve. The core flux linkage is calculated and then inserted into the flux-magnetizing current curve to estimate the magnetizing current. The exciting current at every sampling interval is obtained by summing the core loss and magnetizing currents and then added to the measured current to obtain the correct secondary current. The voltage-core loss current curve and flux-magnetizing current curves, which are different from the conventional curves, are derived in this paper. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated under various conditions using EMTP generated data. The experimental test results of an iron-core type electronic CT, which consists of the iron-core and the compensation board, are also included. The results indicate that the proposed algorithm can improve the accuracy of the measurement CT significantly, and thus reduce the size and the cost of the CT.

풍화계열 사면의 불포화 함수특성곡선 이력이 강우 침투에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hysteresis on Soil-Water Characteristic Curve in Weathered Granite and Gneiss Soil Slopes during Rainfall Infiltration)

  • 풍화 사면은 지속적인 강우로 인하여 얕은층에서 파괴가 일어나고 있다. 이러한 파괴들은 주로 강우 침투로 지표면에서의 습윤대의 형성과 이로 인한 흡수력의 감소에 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 풍화사면인 화강 풍화토 및 편마풍화토에 대한 함수특성곡선의 건조-습윤 이력과 선행강우 조건을 활용하여 시간에 따른 불포화 침투 해석을 인공적인 강우 강도와 지속시간을 설정하여 실시하였다. 그 결과 풍화 사면의 불포화 침투는 깊이별로 선행 강우에 의한 초기 흡수력과 이력에 따른 불포화 투수계수에 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 화강풍화토가 편마풍화토 보다 상대적으로 작은 공기 함입값, 잔류 흡수력, 그리고 습윤 전면 흡수력을 가지고 있으며 이력 loop가 작아서 침투에 대한 흡수력의 변화 반응이 매우 빠름을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 불포화토 역학에 있어 흐름특성에 대한 규명은 지반공학적 문제들을 해결하는데 있어 매우 중요하다. 특히, 불포화토의 흐름특성을 모사하기 위한 첫 걸음이 되는 함수특성곡선의 측정을 위해서는 측정자의 오류를 최소화할 수 있는 신뢰성있고 편리한 기법이 필수적으로 요구되어진다. 플로우 펌프 시스템을 포함하여 현재까지 많은 연구자들은 함수특성곡선을 측정할 수 있는 다양한 기법들을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 제안되어진 플로우 펌프시스템을 활용한 흡입력 조절 기법을 이용하여 건조과정과 습윤과정에서 정확하게 실험 공시체의 함수특성곡선을 측정하였다. 플로우 펌프 시스템을 활용한 흡입력 조절 기법을 통하여 두 가지 시료의 함수특성곡선을 산정하였으며, 실험 결과를 바탕으로 흡입력 조절 기법은 현장 조건에 맞는 조건들을 실내에서 구현할 수 있으며 또한 건조과정과 습윤과정에서 발생하는 함수특성곡선의 이력현상을 규명하는데 적절한 장비인 것을 확인하였다. 특히, 플로우 펌프시스템을 활용한 흡입력 조절 기법은 자동화된 장비와 정밀도로 인하여 높은 정확도를 이끌어낼 수 있어 측정오차를 줄임과 동시에 측정시간을 절약하여 함수특성곡선을 측정할 수 있다.

  • 불포화토를 연구하는데 있어 함수특성곡선과 투수계수방정식을 결정하는 것은 필수요소이나 이는 쉬운 일이 아니다. 본 연구에서는 함수특성곡선과 투수계수방정식을 얻기 위한 새로운 시험장치가 개발되었다. 개발된 시험장치를 사용하여 두 종류의 토사에 대해 포화투수계수시험과 함수특성곡선을 결정하기 위한 시험을 실시하였다. 시험진행순서는 먼저 포화투수계수시험을 실시한 후, 함수특성곡선의 건조과정에 대한 시험을 실시하고 다음으로 함수특성곡선의 습윤과정에 대한 시험순으로 진행하였다. 시험결과에 의하면 건조과정의 함수특성곡선과 습윤과정의 함수특성곡선 간에는 이력현상이 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 투수계수방정식의 결정은 시험으로부터 얻어진 포화투수계수와 함수특성곡선 이용하여 구하는 이론적인 방법을 사용하였다.

The proposed algorithm decomposes the exciting current into the magnetizing current and the core loss current and each of them is estimated. The core loss current is calculated from the secondary voltage and the secondary voltage-core loss current curve. The core flux linkage is calculated and then inserted into the flux-current curve to estimate the magnetizing current. The exciting current at every sampling interval is obtained by summing the core-loss and magnetizing currents and then added to the measured current to compensate the secondary current. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated under various conditions using EMTP generated data. The test results of the real CT were also included. The results indicate that the proposed algorithm can improve the accuracy of the measurement CT significantly, and thus reduce the size and the cost of the CT.

Behaviour of lightweight aggregate concrete-filled steel tube under horizontal cyclic load

  • A horizontal cyclic test was carried out to study the seismic performance of lightweight aggregate concrete filled steel tube (LACFST). The constitutive and hysteretic model of core lightweight aggregate concrete (LAC) was proposed for finite element simulation. The stress and strain changes of the steel tube and concrete filled inside were measured in the experiment, and the failure mode, hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, and strain curve of the test specimens were obtained. The influence of axial compression ratio, diameter-thickness ratio and material strength were analysed based on finite element model. The results show that the hysteresis curve of LACFST indicated favourable ductility, energy dissipation, and seismic performance. The LACFST failed when the concrete in the bottom first crushed and the steel tube then bulged, thus axial force imposed by prestressing was proved to be feasible. The proposed constitutive model and hysteretic model of LAC under the constraint of its steel tube was reliable. The bearing capacity and ductility of the specimen increase significantly with increasing thickness of the steel tube. The bearing capacity of the member improves while the ductility and energy dissipation performance slightly decreased with the increasing strength of the steel and concrete.

탈선 후 화물열차의 겹판스프링 동적특성 연구 (A Study of Dynamic Characteristic of the Leaf Spring for Freight Wagon After the Derailment)

  • Particularly derailing freight wagon, which are loaded with dangerous chemicals, has large damages on humans and environment. In this paper the dynamic characteristic of the laminated leaf spring under extreme situation, for example derailment, is examined. The leaf spring has a static hysteresis. Not only the friction value, but also the spring rate are influenced by this hysteresis characteristic. Because of the static hysteresis of the leaf spring the spring rate must be used in normal operation depending upon the loading and the kind of the excitation with the up to 10-fold value of the static spring rate. Some characteristics of the leaf spring can be treated like well-known viscous damping, but fer special situation (preload and/or excitation) particular calculation are necessary.

  • This paper proposes a systematic approach for an accurate control of the Terfenol-D actuator taking into account hysteresis, modeled by applying the classical Preisach operator with memory curve. A desired input displacement is calculated by using the hysteresis inverter, which is fed into the actuator. Then the PI compensator corrects the error between the commanded and actual displacements. Experiments with the step responses show that the PI controller settles in 70 ms and the hybrid controller in 20 ms. It means that the concurrent application of two control schemes is effective to control the actuator.

Research on a novel shear lead damper: Experiment study and design method

  • The slit members have lower strength and lower stiffness, which might lead to lower energy dissipation. In order to improve the seismic performance of the slit members, the paper proposes the shear lead damper, which has stable performance and small deformation energy dissipation capacity. Therefore, the shear lead damper can set in the vertical silts of the slit member to transmit the shear force and improve energy dissipation, which is suitable for the slit member. Initially, the symmetrical teeth-shaped lead damper was tested and analyzed. Then the staggered teeth-shaped lead dampers were developed and analyzed, based on the defect analysis and build improvements of the symmetrical specimen. Based on the parameter analysis, the main influence factors of hysteretic performance are the internal teeth, the steel baffles, and the width and length of damper. Finally, the theoretical analysis was presented on the hysteretic curve. And the skeleton curve and hysteresis path were identified. Based on the above theoretical analysis, the design method was proposed, including the damping force, the hysteresis model and the design recommendations.
