상하동요 감쇠장치 적용을 통한 새로운 다물체동역학 프로그램의 적용성 검토 (Study on the Applicability of a New Multi-body Dynamics Program Through the Application to the Heave Compensation System)

  • 본 논문에서는 해상 시추작업을 위한 heave compensation system의 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였다. 우선 시뮬레이션을 위하여, 다물체계 동역학 커널을 개발하였다. 다물체계 동역학 커널은 입력 받은 heave compensation system 시뮬레이션 모델의 운동학적 정보를 이용하여 recursive Newton-Euler formulation 방법을 기반으로 운동방정식을 자동으로 구성하고, 수치적으로 해를 계산하는 기능을 한다. 그리고 해상 시추선에 작용하는 외력을 계산하기 위하여 유체 정역학적 힘과 유체 동역학적 힘을 계산하는 모듈을 개발하였다. 이와 같이 개발한 커널과 모듈들을 적용하여 해상 시추선의 hoisting system 동적거동 해석을 수행하고, 관절에서의 구속력을 계산하였다.

정밀 파종 벼 건답직파기 개발 (Development of a Precision Seeder for Direct Seeding of Rice on Dry Paddy)

  • In order to save labor and cost, direct seeding has been considered as an important alternative to the machine transplanting in rice cultivation. Current direct seeding machines for rice in Korea drill irregularly under various operating conditions. This study was conducted to develope a precision seeder which enables the accurate, even-spaced in row placement of rice seeds at uniform depths of 3-4 cm on dry paddy. Design, construction and performance evaluation of the precision seeder were carried out. The tractor rear-mounted type 8-rows precision seeder which performs seeding in addition to fertilizing, ditching, and rotary tilling works on dry paddy was developed. Main components of the seeder were ditcher and leveller, rotary tiller, powered roller type furrow opener, seeding device, powered roller type furrow covering and firming device, hydraulic unit, seeding speed control system, power transmission system, hitch and frame. Ditching, furrow opening, and seed covering and firming performances were good and seeding depths of 2-4 cm could be maintained. Planting accuracies and planting precisions were within 13.6%, and 31.2%, respectively, for planting space of 15 cm, and seeding velocity of 0.5 m/s. These mean variations of average planting space were within 2.1 cm, and 90% of seeds in a hill were seeded within 4.7 cm of hill length, respectively. Error ratios between setting planting space and measured average planting space were shown within 6.7%. Therefore the seeder showed good planting performance up to seeding velocity of 0.5 m/s in field tests. And field capacity of the seeder was about 0.28 ha/hour.

SATEEC ArcView GIS 시스템을 이용한 홍천군 자운리 유역 무허가경작지의 산림 환원에 따른 토양유실 및 유사저감 분석 (Soil Erosion and Sediment Yield Reduction Analysis with Land Use Conversion from Illegal Agricultural Farming to Forest in Jawoon-ri, Kangwon using the SATEEC ArcView GIS System)

  • The fact that soil loss causing to increase muddy water and devastate an ecosystem has been appearing upon a hot social and environmental issues which should be solved. Soil losses are occurring in most agricultural areas with rainfall-induced runoff. It makes hydraulic structure unstable, causing environmental and economical problems because muddy water destroys ecosystem and causes intake water deterioration. One of three severe muddy water source areas in Soyanggang-dam watershed is Jawoon-ri region, located in Hongcheon county. In this area, many cash-crops are planted at illegally cultivated agricultural fields, which were virgin forest areas. The purpose of this study is to estimate soil loss with current land uses (including illegal cash-crop cultivation) and soil loss reduction with land use conversion from illegal cultivation back to forest. In this study, the Sediment Assessment Tool for Effective Erosion Control (SATEEC) ArcView GIS system was utilized to assess soil erosion. If the illegally cultivated agricultural areas are converted back to forest, it is expected to 17.42% reduction in soil loss. At the Jawoon-ri region, illegally cultivated agricultural areas located at over 30% and 15% slopes take 47.48 ha (30.83%) and 103.64 ha (67.29%) of illegally cultivated agricultural fields respectively. If all illegally cultivated agricultural fields are converted back to forest, it is expected that 17.41% of soil erosion and sediment reduction, 10.86% reduction with forest conversion from 30% sloping illegally agricultural fields, and 16.15% reduction with forest conversion from 15% sloping illegally agricultural fields. Therefore, illegally cultivated agricultural fields located at these sloping areas need to be first converted back to forest to maximize reductions in soil loss reduction and muddy water outflow from the Jawoon-ri regions.

T/A-50 엔진 축마력(Horsepower) 능력 해석 및 비행시험 검증 (Analysis and Flight Test Verification of T/A-50 Engine Horsepower Extraction Capability)

  • 항공기 엔진은 항공기가 각종 기동을 수행하도록 추력을 발생하는 것 외에 기동 수행을 위해 작동되는 조종면에 공급될 유압계통의 동력과 각종 항전장비 작동을 위한 전기계통의 동력을 공급한다. 엔진으로부터 제공되는 동력은 엔진의 고압압축기로부터 추출되기 때문에 축마력(Horsepower Extraction, HPX)이라하며, 추출되어 제공되는 엔진 축마력이 유압계통과 전기계통에서 요구하는 요구 축마력보다 작게 되면 엔진에 과도한 부하가 걸려 엔진회전수 감소(Rollback) 및 심한 경우 실속(stall)등이 발생할 수 있다. T/A-50체계개발 동안 요구 축마력과 엔진의 공급 축마력에 대한 비교 해석을 수행하였고, 해석 결과 엔진 축마력이 요구 축마력보다 작은 것을 확인하였다. 엔진 축마력 증가를 위한 엔진 제어 스케쥴 변경이 수행되었으며, 변경된 제어 스케쥴이 장착된 엔진을 이용하여 T/A-50비행시험을 수행하였다. 비행시험 결과를 통해 해석 결과 및 변경된 제어 스케쥴의 타당성을 검증하였다.

하천경관을 고려한 환경친화적 수변공간 정비기법 연구 (A Study on the Environmentally Favorable Arrangement Technique of Water Space Considering Stream Landscape)

  • The creation of favorable water space, in our living circumferential space, is very important factor to offer rural scenery to neighbor residents. We are to introduce stream landscape arrangement technique considering favorable water environment against conventional methods. In this study, the modeling district is Seungdu small stream of Ansung river system in Pyung-Teak city, Kyonggi province, and we carried out stream landscape simulation. The arranging plans of landscape are classified ti three types. The first one is conservation type of ecological environment that can express natural characteristics of stream inherence, raise variety of living things and construct coexisting environment between human beings and the other living things. The secong one is favorable water approach type. The basic object of this type is space construction for easy approach to waterside and increase of comfortable feelings of spectators. The third one is water utilization/flood control management type. In planning of environmentally favorable landscape arrangement, this type is the most important but is likely to be ignored. This type is an arranging plan of stream landscape considering safety. Also, we developed Streams Landscape Simulation System(SLSS). This program can be used for comparison of original landscape image with simulated one. To apply SLSS on the interested stream, landscape simulation that is based on hydraulic characteristics, runoff, flow direction, detailed conditions of basin and ecosystem of stream have to be executed. In this point, developing a stereographical technique of image processing and exact study of applying plan have to be executed continually.

TBM 굴진향상을 위한 연속굴착형 TBM 부품개조 및 제어기술 소개 (Continuous Excavation Type TBM Parts Modification and Control Technology for Improving TBM Performance)

  • 도심지 터널 건설에서 발파공법은 민원이 제기되는 문제점이 있어 적용에 제약받고 있다. 이에 대한 대안으로 TBM 및 기계굴착 공법 적용이 필수적으로 검토되고 있다. 이 중 쉴드 TBM(Tunnel Boring Machine)은 굴진과 세그먼트 체결이 번갈아 반복되며 굴진하는 공정을 가지고 있는데, 세그먼트 체결 동안 굴진을 멈추게 된다. 이러한 가동 정지시간을 최소화하고자 세그먼트 체결 중에도 가동할 수 있는 연속굴착형 TBM 기술이 개발되고 있다. 나선형 세그먼트의 굴진 반력을 확보하기 위해 추진잭을 개조하고 신뢰성을 확보하는 연구가 진행 중이다. 또한 체결 중 세그먼트를 제외한 나머지 부분의 추진잭을 가동하는 유압제어 및 유압시스템 설계기술이 개발될 예정이다. 본 보고는 연속굴착형 TBM 과제 중 부품개조 및 유압제어 기술에 대한 일부 내용을 소개한다.

비점오염원 제어를 위한 인공습지의 계절변화에 따른 처리효율 평가 (Seasonal Performance of Constructed Wetland for Nonpoint Source Pollution Control)

  • 비점오염원 제어를 위한 현장실험을 실시하였다. 연구시설은 인공습지와 유수지를 각각 4개씩 조성하였으며, 각각의 면적은 0.8 ha와 0.08 ha이고, 총 면적은 약 3.6 ha이다. 습지의 유입수는 충남 당진군의 석문담수호로 유입되는 당진천의 물을 펌핑하여 사용하였다. 습지의 수심은 웨어를 이용하여 생장기 (3월${\sim}$8월)과 동절기 (12월${\sim}$2월)에 각각 0.3 m와 0.5 m를 유지하였으며, 체류시간은 2${\sim}$5일이었다. TP를 제외한 대부분의 수질항목에서 ($BOD_5$, TSS, TN)생장기보다 동절기에 더 높은농도를 나타내는 것으로 나타났으며, $BOD_5$는 동절기 동안에 유출수의 농도가 유입수보다 더 높은 농도를 나타냈다. 동절기 동안에 제거된 부하량은 $BOD_5$, TSS는 감소한 반면에 TN과 TP는 감소하지 않고 생장기과 비슷한 값을 나타내었다. 다른 연구자에 의한 연구결과인 NADB (North American Treatment Wetland Database)와 비교해 보면 $BOD_5$, TSS, TN, TP모두 동일 유입부하량에 대해 대부분 NADB와 비슷하거나 약간 낮은 유출수의 농도를 나타내었다. 동절기 동안에 생장기와 비슷한 농도의 유출수를 얻기 위해서는 유입부하량은 생장기보다 감소시켜 적용하면 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구결과 인공습지는 동절기에도 안정적인 처리율을 얻을 수 있으며, 비점오염제어에 적합할 것으로 판단된다.

강대국 간의 경쟁시대와 미 해군의 증강 노력 (USN's Efforts to Rebuild its Combat Power in an Era of Great Power Competition)

  • The purpose of this paper is to look at USN's efforts to rebuild its combat power in the face of a reemergence of great powers competition, and to propose some recommendations for the ROKN. In addition to the plan to augment its fleet towards a 355-ships capacity, the USN is pursuing to improve exponentially combat lethality(quality) of its existing fleet by means of innovative science and technology. In other words, the USN is putting its utmost efforts to improve readiness of current forces, to modernize maintenance facilities such as naval shipyards, and simultaneously to invest in innovative weapons system R&D for the future. After all, the USN seems to pursue innovations in advanced military Science & Technology as the best way to ensure continued supremacy in the coming strategic competition between great powers. However, it is to be seen whether the USN can smoothly continue these efforts to rebuild combat strength vis-a-vis its new competition peers, namely China and Russian navy, due to the stringent fiscal constraints, originating, among others, from the 2011 Budget Control Act effective yet. Then, it seems to be China's unilateral and assertive behaviors to expand its maritime jurisdiction in the South China Sea that drives the USN's rebuild-up efforts of the future. Now, some changes began to be perceived in the basic framework of the hitherto regional maritime security, in the name of declining sea control of the USN as well as withering maritime order based on international law and norms. However, the ROK-US alliance system is the most excellent security mechanism upon which the ROK, as a trading power, depends for its survival and prosperity. In addition, as denuclearization of North Korea seems to take significant time and efforts to accomplish in the years to come, nuclear umbrella and extended deterrence by the US is still noting but indispensible for the security of the ROK. In this connection, the naval cooperation between ROKN and USN should be seen and strengthened as the most important deterrents to North Korean nuclear and missile threats, as well as to potential maritime provocation by neighboring countries. Based on these observations, this paper argues that the ROK Navy should try to expand its own deterrent capability by pursuing selective technological innovation in order to prevent this country's destiny from being dictated by other powers. In doing so, however, it may be too risky for the ROK to pursue the emerging, disruptive innovative technologies such as rail gun, hypersonic weapon... etc., due to enormous budget, time, and very thin chance of success. This paper recommends, therefore, to carefully select and extensively invest on the most cost-effective technological innovations, suitable in the operational environments of the ROK. In particular, this paper stresses the following six areas as most potential naval innovations for the ROK Navy: long range precision strike; air and missile defense at sea; ASW with various unmanned maritime system (UMS) such as USV, UUV based on advanced hydraulic acoustic sensor (Sonar) technology; network; digitalization for the use of AI and big data; and nuclear-powered attack submarines as a strategic deterrent.

친열성(親熱性) 생물막공법(生物膜工法)을 이용(利用)한 폐활성(廢活性) 슬러지의 혐기성(嫌氣性) 소화(消化) (Waste Activated Sludge Digestion with Thermophilic Attached Films)

  • 팽창형 혐기성(嫌氣性) 생물막공법(生物膜工法)(AAFEB)을 고온(高溫)($55^{\circ}C$)에서 부유물질(浮遊物質)이 많은 경우에 적용시킨 것은 최근의 일이다. 폐활성(廢活性)슬러지(WAS)는 이 공법(工法)으로 약 6 시간의 짧은 체류기간으로 효과적(效果的)으로 소화(消化)될 수 있다는 사실이 밝혀지고 있다. 만약 이러한 고율(高率)의 소화법(消化法)이 개발적용(開發適用)된다면, 현(現) 소화조(消化槽)의 소요체적(所要體積)을 99% 가량 감소(減少)시킬 수 있기 때문에 슬러지 처리분야(處理分野)에 매우 흥미로운 사실(事實)이 아닐 수 없을 것이다. 본(本) 논문(論文)은 이 공법(工法)에 대한 최근(最近) 1년(年) 반(半)동안의 연구결과를 요약한 것이다. 본(本) 연구(硏究)에 있어서 연속적(連續的)으로 주입(注入)되는 3개(個)의 실험실(實驗室) 소화조(消化槽)($55^{\circ}C$)가 사용(使用)되었다. 그 중(中) 1개(個)의 소화조(消化槽)는 AAFEB 소화조(消化槽)와의 비교(比較)를 위한 완전혼합형(完全混合形) 소화조(消化槽)였다. 2개(個)의 AAFEB 소화조(消化槽) 중에 1개(個)는 가수분해조(加水分解槽)를 별도(別途)로 설치(設置)한 2단(段)의 경우와 가수분해조(加水分解槽)가 없는 1단(段)의 경우로 구분시켜 비교하였다. 실험(實驗)에 사용(使用)된 WAS는 실험실(實驗室) 활성(活性)슬러지 반응조(反應曺)와 실제의 하수처리장(下水處理場)으로부터 채취한 것이었다. 1단(段)의 AAFEB의 경우, 결과를 보면 WAS 내의 생물분해가능(生物分解可能) 유기물질(有機物質)의 60%가 15시간의 체류기간으로 분해(分解)되였으며, 2단(段)의 경우에는 같은 체류기간에서 95%의 분해효율(分解效率)을 보였다. 고온소화(高溫消化)의 실제적용가능성(實際適用可能性)과 아울러 적용시(適用時)의 문제점 등을 검토(檢討)하였다.

Performance Evaluation of a Driving Power Transmission System for 50 kW Narrow Tractors

  • Purpose: The development of compact tractors that can be used in dry fields, greenhouses, and orchards for pest control, weeding, transportation, and harvesting is necessary. The development and performance evaluation of power transmission units are very important when it comes to tractor development. This study evaluates the performance of a driving power transmission unit of a 50 kW multi-purpose narrow tractor. Methods: The performance of the transmission and forward-reverse clutch, which are the main components of the driving power transmission unit of multi-purpose narrow tractors, was evaluated herein. The transmission performance was evaluated in terms of power transmission efficiency, noise, and axle load, while the forward-reverse clutch performance was evaluated in terms of durability. The transmission's power transmission efficiency accounts for the measurement of transmission losses, which occur in the transmission's gear, bearing, and oil seal. The motor's power was input in the transmission's input shaft. The rotational speed and torque were measured in the final output shaft. The noise was measured at each speed level after installing a microphone on the left, right, and upper sides. The axle load test was performed through a continuous equilibrium load test, in which a constant load was continuously applied. The forward-reverse clutch performance was calculated using the engine torque to axle torque ratio with the assembled engine and transmission. Results: The loss of power in the transmission efficiency test of the driving power unit was 6.0-9.7 kW based on all gear steps. This loss of horsepower was equal to 11-18% of the input power (52 kW). The transmission efficiency of the driving power unit was 81.5-89.0%. The noise of the driving power unit was 50-57 dB at 800 rpm, 70-77 dB at 1600 rpm, and 76-83 dB at 2400 rpm. The axle load test verified that the input torque and axle revolutions were constant. The results of the forward-reverse clutch performance test revealed that hydraulic pressure and torque changes were stably maintained when moving forward or backward, and its operation met the hydraulic design standards. Conclusions: When comprehensively examined, these research results were similar to the main driving power transmission systems from USA and Japan in terms of performance. Based on these results, tractor prototypes are expected to be created and supplied to farmhouses after going through sufficient in-situ adaptability tests.
