Classification is a substantial operation in data mining, and each element is distributed taking into account its feature values in the corresponding class. Metaheuristics have been widely used in attempts to solve satellite image classification problems. This article proposes a hybrid approach, the flower pigeons-inspired optimization algorithm (FPIO), and the local search method of the flower pollination algorithm is integrated into the pigeon-inspired algorithm. The efficiency and power of the proposed FPIO approach are displayed with a series of images, supported by computational results that demonstrate the cogency of the proposed classification method on satellite imagery. For this work, the Davies-Bouldin Index is used as an objective function. FPIO is applied to different types of images (synthetic, Alsat-2B, and Sentinel-2). Moreover, a comparative experiment between FPIO and the genetic algorithm genetic algorithm is conducted. Experimental results showed that GA outperformed FPIO in matters of time computing. However, FPIO provided better quality results with less confusion. The overall experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is an efficient method for satellite imagery classification.

Since PTV (particle tracking velocimetry) provides velocity vectors by tracking each particle in a fluid flow, it has significant benefits when used for nano- and bio-fluid flows. However, PTV has only been used for limited flow fields because interpolation data loss is inevitable in PTV in principle. In this paper, a hybrid particle image velocimetry (PIV) algorithm that eliminates interpolation data loss was constructed by using an affine transformation. For the evaluation of the performance of the constructed hybrid PIV algorithm, an artificial image test was performed using Green-Taylor vortex data. The constructed algorithm was tested on experimental images of the wake flow (Re = 5,300) of a rectangular body ($6cm\;{\times}3cm$), and was demonstrated to provide excellent results.

From the present paper researched about the Design of Image Rejection SSB Modulator for X-Band Monopulse RADAR using Waveguide Hybrid Coupler. Generally, SSB modulator mixes IF(RF) and LO signals, and then it converts to RF(IF) frequency band. In this case, in order to transmit one sideband from RF band, SSB modulator is demanded the removal of image and LO signal. The balanced mixer was designed using waveguide hybrid coupler and crystal mixer diode to mix LO and IF signal. And also the IF Amplifier was designed for IF(+) and IF(-) signal generation which have $90^{\circ}$ phase differences which are suitable in two crystal mixer diode inputs. In order to maintain a high electric reliability from high frequency band the waveguide and IF amplifier's case were manufactured with aluminum using deep brazing techniques. The test result of SSB modulator, LO and sideband signal rejection ratio were 14.2dB and 18.5dB respectively.

This paper presents an efficient signature recognition method by using the hybrid similarity criterion, which is in inverse proportion to distance and in proportion to correlation between the images. The distance is applied to express the spacial property of image, and the correlation is also applied to express the statistical property. The proposed criterion provides the robust recognition to both the geometrical variations such as position, size, and rotation and the shape variation. The normalized cross-correlation(NCC), which is calculated by considering 4 directions based on the histogram of binary image, is applied to express rapidly and accurately the similarity between the images. The proposed method has been applied to the problem for recognizing the 20 truck images of 288*288 pixels and the 105(3 persons * 35 images) signature images of 256*256 pixels, respectively. The experimental results show that the proposed method has a superior recognition performance that appears the image characters well. Especially, the hybrid criterion of NCC and ordinal distance has a superior recognition performance to the hybrid criterion using city-block or Euclidean distance.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a surface-guided radiosurgery system customized for a neurosurgery clinic that could be used as an auxiliary system for improving the accuracy, monitoring the movements of patients while performing hypofractionated radiosurgery, and minimizing the geometric misses. Methods: RGB-D cameras were installed in the treatment room and a monitoring system was constructed to perform a three-dimensional (3D) scan of the body surface of the patient and to express it as a point cloud. This could be used to confirm the exact position of the body of the patient and monitor their movements during radiosurgery. The image from the system was matched with the computed tomography (CT) image, and the positional accuracy was compared and analyzed in relation to the existing system to evaluate the accuracy of the setup. Results: The user interface was configured to register the patient and display the setup image to position the setup location by matching the 3D points on the body of the patient with the CT image. The error rate for the position difference was within 1-mm distance (min, -0.21 mm; max, 0.63 mm). Compared with the existing system, the differences were found to be as follows: x=0.08 mm, y=0.13 mm, and z=0.26 mm. Conclusions: We developed a surface-guided repositioning and monitoring system that can be customized and applied in a radiation surgery environment with an existing linear accelerator. It was confirmed that this system could be easily applied for accurate patient repositioning and inter-treatment motion monitoring.

In recent years, image processing technology has played a critical role in the field of autonomous driving. Among them, image recognition technology is essential for the safety and performance of autonomous vehicles. Therefore, this paper aims to develop a hybrid image recognition system to enhance the safety and performance of autonomous vehicles. In this paper, various image recognition technologies are utilized to construct a system that recognizes and tracks objects in the vehicle's surroundings. Machine learning and deep learning algorithms are employed for this purpose, and objects are identified and classified in real-time through image processing and analysis. Furthermore, this study aims to fuse image processing technology with vehicle control systems to improve the safety and performance of autonomous vehicles. To achieve this, the identified object's information is transmitted to the vehicle control system to enable appropriate autonomous driving responses. The developed hybrid image recognition system in this paper is expected to significantly improve the safety and performance of autonomous vehicles. This is expected to accelerate the commercialization of autonomous vehicles.

A broad-band design method of a lumped-element 3dB quadrature hybrid without magnetic coupling is proposed and discussed, where techniques of cascading fundamental hybrids via second-order delay equalizers and adding matching sections are adopted. It is shown that the designed broad-band lumped-element 3dB quadrature hybrid can be easily constructed and its bandwidth reaches up to 54%. Furthermore, the esperiments have been carried out, the results of which agree with the theoretical ones, and hence, the validity of the broad-band design method proposed here was confirmed.
The smooth surface after polishing of composite resin contributes to the patient's comfort, and appearance and longevity of the restoration. This study was performed for the quantitative analysis of the effects of the various finishing and polishing instruments on the surface roughness and reflectivity of the microfill, and hybrid composite resins. Cylindrical specimens 2mm thick and 10mm in diameter of Silux Plus, Durafill VS ; Z100, Prisma TPH, Brilliant, and Herculite XR composite resin were polymerized under the matrix strip. 18 specimens for each composite resin materials were divided into 6 groups ; 5 experimental groups were abraded with # 600 sand paper to remove resin-rich layer, except control. Thereafter, using diamond bur(Mani Dia-Burs), carbide bur(E. T. carbide set 4159), rubber point(Composite polishing kit), aluminum-oxide disk(Sof-Lex disk), polishing paste(Enhance system) ; each specimen was polished to its best achievable surface according to manufacturer's directions. Final polished surfaces were evaluated for the surface roughness with profilometer(${\alpha}$-step 200, Tencor instruments, USA) and for the reflectivity with image analyser(Omniment Image Analyser, Buehler, USA). The results were as follows. 1. Polishing paste or aluminum-oxide disk finish in the microfill, and hybrid composite resins was as smooth as matrix strip finish on the surface roughness test. 2. Polishing paste or aluminum-oxide disk finish in the microfill ; polishing paste finish in the hybrid composite resins was as reflective as matrix strip finish on the refectivity test. 3. For the polishing paste, there were no significant differences between the composite resin materials on the surface roughness and refectivity tests. 4. For the aluminum-oxide disk, the best result was obtained with the microfill composite resin on the surface roughness and reflectivity test. 5. Diamond bur, carbide bur, and rubber point were inappropriate for the final polishing instruments.

Compton cameras using large scintillators have been developed for high imaging sensitivity. These scintillator-based Compton cameras, however, mainly due to relatively low energy resolution, suffer from undesired background-radiation signals, especially when radioactive materials' activity is very low or their location is far from the Compton camera. To alleviate this problem for a large-size Compton camera, in the present study, a hybrid-type shielding system was designed that combines an active shield with a veto detector and a passive shield that surrounds the active shield. Then, the performance of the hybrid shielding system was predicted, by Monte Carlo radiation transport simulation using Geant4, in terms of minimum detectable activity (MDA), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and image resolution. Our simulation results show that, for the most cases, the hybrid shielding system significantly improves the performance of the large-size Compton camera. For the cases investigated in the present study, the use of the shielding system decreased the MDA by about 1.4, 1.6, and 1.3 times, increased the SNR by 1.2-1.9, 1.1-1.7, and 1.3-2.1 times, and improved the image resolution (i.e., reduced the FWHM) by 7-8, 1-6, and 3-5% for 137Cs, 60Co, and 131I point source located at 1-5 m from the imaging system, respectively.

This paper presents a hybrid image mode Galerkin method for the analysis of the transmission line structures suspended between infinite parallel ground planes. A Green's function that consists of numerically accelerated image mode terms is developed, which is used in boundary integral equation. Transmission lines of arbitrary cross section are analyzed using Galerkin's method. Two kinds of configurations of transmission lines are studied in sample problems.
