Objective : This study is designed to find out the effects of Oak-mushroom Herbal acupuncture on osteoarthritis in knee joint. Methods : We investigated 33 cases of patients with osteoarthritis in knee joint that are visited in Hospital of Dong-Seo oriental medicine. We evaluated knee joint function that before and after its treatment by Lysholm score and satisfaction of treatment by Baumgaertner nine point scale and visual analog scale. Results : These results showed that female patients are 26 cases and these are more 19 cases than male patients. On the age of patients, above 61 are mainly distributed as 17 cases. According to Ahlaback's grading system, grade Ⅲ are more than others as 11 cases. We estimated effects of Oak-mushroom Herbal-acupuncture by Lysholm score, those results showed that the mean of Lysholm score before treatment is 51.42, and after treatment is 76.55. That showed statistically meaningful increase. In evaluating of satisfaction, excellent are 11 cases and good are 15 cases. The percentage of above good is 78.8%. Conclusion : According to the results, Oak-mushroom Herbal-acupuncture may be effects on the increase of knee joint function and the decrease of pain in osteoarthritis in knee joint.
Objective : The mechanism of acupuncture to increase cerebral blood flow is still uncertain. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the neural basis of acupuncture by comparing the cerebral regions activated by the stimulation of two different methods of acupunctures at the same acupoint which was suggested by oriental medicine to increase rCBF. Materials and Methods : Thirty-nine healthy volunteers(26 males, 13 females, age $31{\pm}11$ years) were studies by rest/acupuncture Tc-99m ECD brain SPECT using a subtraction method. SPECTs using two methods(needle retention and heated needle with 90% alcohol) at two acupoints (right LI. 4 and ST. 36) were peformed at an interval of three days. For the needle retention method, acupuncture needle was inserted to a depth of about 2 cm into each acupoint 8 minutes after the lst acquisition and continued to retain, and the second injection of Tc-99m ECD was done 15 minutes after the insertion of needle. For the heated acupuncture method, heated needle was inserted in a twinkle within several msec 20 second after the second injection of Tc-99m ECD. The differences of between rest and acupuncture activation state were statistically analyzed using a statistical parametric mapping software. Result : Acupunctures of both methods reveal similar patterns of increase in rCBF. Acupuncture at ST.36 increase rGBF in left anterior temporal, right inferior frontal lobes, and left cerebellum. Acupuncture at LI. 4 increase rCBF in the left frontal cortex, right temporal pole, both inferior frontal cortices and right cerebellum. Conclusion : The effects of two different acupunctures to the same acupoints on rCBF were similar. Therefore, this result suggests Chat the mechanism of acupuncture in the increase of cerebral blood flow have a neural basis.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to conduct a scoping review focusing on acupuncture points information applied in experimental studies using electroacupuncture for stroke. Methods : First, we set the research question of this study to identify which acupuncture points were studied for various symptoms of post-stroke sequelae in clinical and animal experiments. For this purpose, among the records searched through EMBASE, experimental studies including acupuncture points used in electroacupuncture treatment for stroke were selected as inclusion criteria for this study. The acupoints information used in each experiment was extracted from the included studies according to the type of study design and symptoms of stroke sequelae, and quantitative analysis was performed. Results : A total of 973 studies using acupuncture treatment, of which 429 papers including electroacupuncture were analyzed. Most of the animal experiments were conducted on general conditions instead of specific symptoms of stroke, and in clinical studies, electroacupuncture studies were conducted on symptoms such as hemiplegia and spasticity, cognitive and mental problems, dysphagia, shoulder problems, and depression that occur after stroke. Acupuncture points such as GV20, ST36, LI11, and LI4 were mainly used regardless of stroke symptoms. Except for these acupuncture points, GV26, GV14, GV16, and GV24 were frequently used in animal experiments, and TE5, LI15, LI10, and LR3 were widely used in clinical studies. Conclusions : Although this study extracted and analyzed only the frequent acupuncture points in the electroacupuncture study for stroke. However, in the future, it is necessary to be able to secure the evidence for acupuncture treatment elements through comparative studies between different acupuncture points or other elements constituting electroacupuncture.

YangDongChangHwaHuRok(兩東唱和後錄)is a book that organized the conversation between Joseon physician Ki-DuMun(奇斗文) and Japanese Acupuncture specialist Murakami Tanio(村上溪南) and others when they visited the quarters where the Choson Delegation(朝鮮通信使) were staying in, while the Choson Delegation party were visiting Japan in 1711. YangDongChangHwaHuRok(兩東唱和後錄) was discovered in the process of gathering medicine-related historical documents of the Choson Dynasty that is spread out all over the Japanese region, with the help from Japanese and Chinese scholars. This was part of the Co-Examination-Research-Process of korean medical documents that are located in the East Asia traditional medical region, which was promoted by the Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine in 2003. This paper has analyzed in-depth, with an inner-medical view, the academic exchange content of YangDongChangHwaHuRok(兩東唱和後錄) by following the order of the main text. With this examination, we were able discover new facts about the interest in Primary Symptom(是動病) and Secondary Symptom(所生病) of 17th century doctors, a new hypothesis on the diffusion of HeoYim(許任)'s ChimGuKyungHeomBang(鍼灸經驗方) in Japan, the existence of a new acupuncture tool called ChongChim(腫鍼), and the influence of the 18th comtemporay famous traditional medical books (it is called UiHakYipMun(醫學入門) and ShinEungKyung(神應經) on the 18th century East Asian medical circle. We were also able to ascertain the specific medical content that was diffused to the Japanese medical circle by the Korean medical circle.

After three and four weeks, the Yanagihara's scores of group A were higher than those of group B, but not statistically significant. The improvement indexes of group A were higher than those of group B from the first week and statistically significant after three and four weeks. Conclusion: Combinding bee venom aqua-acupunture theraphy on peripheral facial paralysis was more efficacious than the only use of basic oriental medicine treatment.
Objective: To investigate the changes of facial temperature by Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatment. Methods: One middle-aged women who has no other disease was recruited. The Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture was performed on only right face. We measured the facial temperature using the Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DOREX Inc. Spectrum 9000 MB, USA, D.I.T.I.) before, immediate after and 10 minutes after treatment. And we used the Wilcoxon signed rank test (P<0.05) to compare the difference of facial temperature at each time. Results: Right facial temperature (the area treated by acpuncuture) increased immediately from $30.02{\pm}1.87^{\circ}C$ to $32.24{\pm}1.03^{\circ}C$, the change of temperature is statistically significant. At 10 minutes after treatment, right facial temperature decreased little, but there was no statistical significance. Left facial temperature increased little, but there was no statistical significance. The difference between right and left face increased after Miso facial rejuvenation acupuncture treatment. Conclusion: Miso facial rejuvenation acupuncture could make the facial temperature increase.
