  • Recently, the numerical analysis using person shape model for CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) has been researched widely for the thermal comfort and inhaled air quality of human body in the indoor environments. The purpose of this research is to examine the characteristic of airflow and thermal environment around human body by the experiment of displacement ventilation that assumes the indoor environment of natural convection. In this study, thermal manikin was used instead of real human body. The Airflow characteristic around human body was measured in precision by PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry). This experimental result will be used as data for CFD benchmark test using person shape model.

  • This paper extends and enhances the existing inverse kinematics technique using the concept of motion characteristic capturing. Motion characteristic capturing is not about measuring motion by tracking body points. Instead, it starts from pre-measured motion data, extracts the motion characteristics, and applies them in animating other bodies. The resulting motion resembles the originally measured one in spite of arbitrary dimensional differences between the bodies. Motion characteristics capturing is a new principle in kinematic motion generalization to process measurements and generate realistic animation of human being or other living creatures.

  • Recently, brick pavement were widely introduced on the pavement in rural area. A variety of vision effects can be created from patterns of brick pavement. However, in most of brick pavement works, human psychological characteristics were not concerned. The purpose of this research was to discover psychological effect on brick pavement pattern. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: 1)Psychological impression on brick pavement pattern is similar among man and woman groups. 2)Stack bond and running bond pattern have a simple, relaxed, organized, and comfortable psychological characteristics. Basket weave & stack bond pattern has a simple and organized psychological characteristic. Herringbone bond pattern has a complex, dislike and uncomfortable psychological characteristic. Pinwheel bond pattern has a highly complex psychological characteristic. Basket weave and Basket weave variation bond pattern have a common psychological characteristic. 3)Employment of brick pavement pattern on this research is not highly preferred, hence it is necessary to develop a brick pavement patterns that have human psychological characteristics be concerned.

  • The purpose of this research is to comprehend experimentally the characteristic of human dynamic load and provide the result as basic data to suggest a valid impact-resistance evaluation method. Human motions exerting dynamic load are classified to 3 types. Selecting 3 ranks of motion strength, 3 ranks of load plane stiffness (A:20kN/cm, B:4.7kN/cm, C:2.2kN/cm), and 30 male grownup inspectors in their twenties, load was measured when they applied force on load plane. Result of this research is as follows: (1) Human dynamic load has different nature from object collision in the highest load ratio depending on the load plane stiffness and action time (2) The highest load ratio for each motion was 10.06 for kicking, 4.44 for hitting with shoulder, and 5.58 for fist blow.

  • Rapid development of life sciences about human cloning in real world is reflected alternately ahead and behind in the movies and it brings up the conversation topics about the scenario of diverse human life in the near future. This study is the consideration of the characteristic of the human cloning motif in movies, focused on the feature film which consider human cloning a philosophical point of view. The emergence and evolution of somatic cell cloning conclude the problem of philosophical anthropology. And identity and un-naturality of human clone boils down to desire and dilemma of character in . The dramatize to the exclusion of genre's attribution and the setting of twofold relationship between original and clone as well as real mother and daughter prove the critical mind of as stated above. This study also reported it reinforces the characteristic of the human cloning motif in movies that plotting with parallel narrative and the consistent attitudes with various cinematic expression and techniques.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the physiochemical properties of blackberry fruit beverage(BFB) and to develop a descriptive analysis procedure for evaluating the sensory characteristics of BFB. The amount of soluble solid, free sugar, pH, acidity, chromaticity, flavonoid, and anthocyanin of BFB were determined. All BFB samples demonstrated significantly different physicochemical properties(p<.01). Ten highly trained panelists identified the following eleven sensory attributes in the BFB and defined by standardized terminology for each attribute; turbidity, chromaticity for appearance characteristics, berry, grass, fermented, sweet, astringent, and sour for flavor characteristics, throat hit, refreshing, as well as astringent grade for textural characteristics. There were significant differences in all the eleven sensory attributes of the BFB samples(p<.001). Descriptive terminology used in the BFB analysis was capable of classifying the sensory attributes of the BFB. Based on these results, the analysis method and sensory evaluation techniques used in this study could be reasonably applied to other fruit beverages for establishing similar physiochemical characteristic and descriptive sensory attributes.

  • In this study, a system for measurement of impedance (transmission parameter) on the human muscle was constructed. The system composed of the stimulating part for input with milli-voltage and the measuring part for measurement of transmission voltage in human muscle. As a result of this experiment, the frequency characteristic of each subject represent that the transmission voltage goes up in spite of a constant input voltage according to frequency (1Hz -50kHz) increment. Namely, the amplitude of input signal was not reflected but frequency was reflected on the measured results. This result be estimated that the proposed system is able to measure passive electrical characteristic of human body.

  • Recently, brick walls are being widely introduced in rural areas. Walls are a very important design element of space. However, most brick wall works do not consider the human psychological characteristics. The purpose of this study was to investigate psychological characteristics on brick wall bonds such as the stack bond, running bond, english bond, flemish bond, america bond. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: 1)There is no statistical difference of psychological evaluation results among student groups using the semantic differential scale method using 10 adjectives. 2)Stack bonds have an uninspiring, artificial, simple, restful, boring and ordered psychological characteristic. Running bonds have an uninspiring, restful and ordered psychological characteristic. America bonds have a unique and modernistic psychological characteristic. English bonds have a unique, modernistic, complex and chaotic psychological characteristic. Flemish bonds have no critical psychological characteristics. 3)The running bond earned the highest score in preference, while the stack bond scored the lowest. Employment of brick wall bonds on this study was not highly preferred, hence it is necessary to develop a new brick wall bond design. 4)In conclusion, the proper selection of brick wall bonds is very important and we should consider human psychological characteristics in the design of rural areas.

  • The inspiratory flow rate of a human is changed with the amount of the workload. The flow characteristic is affected by the inspiratory flow rate. In the flow field of airway, the both of turbulence intensity and secondary flow affect the deposition pattern of particles which is important for the drug-aerosol targeting. Thus the analysis of the flow characteristic in a human airway is important. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the inspiratory flow rate on the flow characteristics in a human airway. The tubular airway is consistent with the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx and trachea. The relatively inspiratory flow rate is used at each case of human states regarding the workload. By the effect of geometric airway changes, transition to turbulent airflow after the larynx can occur with relaminarization further downstream. The low Reynolds number k-${\omega}$ turbulence model is used for analysis with flow regime. As the inspiratory flow rate is larger, the turbulence kinetic energy and secondary flow intensity increase in airway. On the other hand, the area of recirculation zone is smaller.

  • A band function model paired comparison(BMPC) method is a kind of paired comparison methods. Considering that human has ambiguity, the BMPC method uses a monotonous increase function with the width as the human judgment characteristic. Since panel´s judgments do not always have enough response, it is very important to examine inspection abilities of each panel. In this study. We focus on the difference of band functions in each panel, which is the characteristic function of judgment in the BMPC method, and examine the method of obtaining panels inspection abilities. Three kinds of evaluation functions, "the dispersion of judgments", "the resolution", and "the difference of the judgments" are defined from Panel´s characteristic function of ...
