Consumers' Motivations for Brand-Switching of Sport Shoes according to Their Age and Gender

  • The purpose of the study was to provide the basic information that is needed to build marketing strategies related to consumers' brand-switching, through investigation into sport shoe consumers' motivations for brand-switching, as determined by their age and gender. The study was implemented by means of a descriptive survey method using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 534 consumers between the ages of 13 and 59, residing in the Seoul area. The survey for the study was conducted during the period of October 10 through December 5, in 2008. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's Test were employed for the analysis of data gathered. The results revealed that there are differences with regard to the degree that the functional/aesthetic factors of sport shoes contribute to the motivation for brand-switching, when assessed with respect to the age and gender of consumers. The contributory degrees of situational factors and social/emotional curiosity factors of consumers are also different with regard to the motivation for brand-switching behavior of sport shoe consumers in accordance with their age and gender. Therefore, marketing strategies related to brand-switching behavior will be more effective when they are differentiated according to the target age and gender, even with respect to the same type of product, such as sport shoes.

Issues of Workplace in Korea: How to Inspire Temporary Workers?

  • Purpose - This study will focus on motivation of temporary workers working in distributors as well as generic companies, especially MPS (motivating potential score) proposed by job characteristics model. We think that temporary workers required intrinsic motivation in order to commit with their organization because they are difficult switch-regular workers due to glass ceiling. Research design, data, methodology - This study operates a survey targeting temporary workers, specifically, we used 144 copies except uncollected copies and dishonesty response of total 165 copies on analysis. We used multiple regression and 3 step regression to investigate the proposed model. Results - The high level of perceived distributional justice and procedural justice was increased the level of organizational commitment, respectively. And, MPS was increased the level of organizational commitment, too. Finally, this study showed that both justice and Job characteristics were very important to increase organizational commitment. Conclusions - In order to inspire temporary workers, the company provides placing enough considering job characteristics as well as fairness of the procedure and distribution. Also, to more fully understand the underlying processes between HRM (Human Resource Management) concepts, new fundamental methods may be required such as switch full-time opportunities.

  • The research tris to provide some basic data for the efficient method of human resources management and the efficiency of hospital organization by drawing how servant leadership of physical therapists has impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. As a measuring device the method of self-fill-in questionnaire survey was utilized and the correlation and regression analysis was practiced on demographic property, the relationships of 11 kinds of variables between servant leadership and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction was concerned with internal motivation, autonomy, hearing, altruistic vocation, community sense, sympathy formation, vision in the positive order, while organizational commitment was concerned with internal motivation, altruistic vocation, vision, autonomy, community sense, hearing, and sympathy formation is the positive order. Supervisors of physical therapists should try to strive to fulfill the demands of therapists in their position, suggest the vision and objectives to them, and enhance their community sense. As a result, supervisors of physical therapists can enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment in the position of their employees.

패션제품 쇼핑을 통한 리테일 테라피 효과에 대한 질적 연구 (Qualitative Research on Fashion Product Shopping and Retail Therapy)

  • This study is to understand the inner psychological state of consumers who pursue a retail therapy effect through fashion product shopping. Qualitative research on the whole process from the point of time of occurrence of shopping motivation to the end of shopping motivation was performed. The researcher became a virtual shopping partner during shopping and conducted a natural conversation interview using a mobile instant messenger program (Kakao Talk). After shopping, participants were asked to write a diary on that day. Collected data were analyzed by applying the grounded theory approach suggested by Strauss and Corbin (1998). Casual Condition, represented everyday stress and Contextual Condition indicated the self-healing consumption trend. Main Phenomena showed a mood change during the fashion shopping process. The sense of emancipation from the place, the satisfaction from the maintenance of social relations, and the sense of accomplishment through purchases were revealed. Intervening Condition showed the consideration in the process of shopping for fashion products, such as providing a try-on experience, price promotion, and involvement of a companion. Action Interaction Strategy was the shopping behavior for the positive emotion increase and negative emotion decrease. Consequence represented a retail therapy in shopping for fashion products.

Factors Affecting Employee's Performance: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • In the context of economic growth, the banking system has greatly contributed to a substantial rise in living conditions, connecting savings and investment, and economic growth. Since economic reform in 1986, Vietnam's banking system has increasingly expanded in quality and quantity of banks including state-owned, private-owned, and foreign banks. The aim of this study is to evaluate the main factors affecting employee's performance in the banking system in the case of an emerging economy of Vietnam. Using the pilot study by investigating three experts in a few banks in order to correct the questionnaires, and a mega sample data of 170 observations conducted from bank's staffs, and managers in Hanoi capital of Vietnam, empirical results demonstrate that the independent variables included in the model can explain 67% of the change of the dependent variable of employee's performance, and the rest (31%) can be explained by other reasons. Further, motivation (MO), and working ability (WA) have a positive and insignificant impact on employee's performance, reflecting that motivation, and working ability have insignificantly affected employee's performance. In contrast, four factors, namely, welfare, working environment, cooperation, and education have a positive and significant impact on employee's performance in the case of Hanoi, Vietnam.

스타트업 항공사 객실승무원 조직의 안전리더십 구성요인에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Research on Factors Composing the Flight Attendant Organization's Safety Leadership)

  • A startup airline is motivating its flight attendants to do voluntary and effective safety behavior as well as setting up safety culture in its organization at the same time in the early stage of revenue-flight service due to the lack of flight operation experience compared to competing airlines. Based on the sample of flight attendants from a startup airline, this paper tried to perform empirical analysis which focused on relationship among safety leadership, safety motivation and safety behavior. According to empirical analysis, it was proven psychological resources had a significantly positive effect on work engagement. Work engagement is proven to have a significantly positive effect on both flight attendants' safety motivation and their safety work. It was also implied that flight attendants couldn't understand a contradictory attitude of their leaders because leaders had them focus on safety work engagement while not providing enough human resource and capital. In addition, it was found leader's excessive emphasizing safety policy might not result in flight attendants' safety behavior.

  • The article reveals the essence of cybercrime, approaches to understanding this concept, classification of cybercrime, and other illegal acts in this area. The concept of cybercrime has multi-discourse nature and a certain legal uncertainty. Cybercrimes, their forms and types are analyzed in the economic context. The research vocabulary of the economic industry is defined. The scope and content of concepts denoted by the terms of the sphere covered by cybercrime are studied, and its types and forms are analyzed. The article studies problems, achievements, and prospects of resisting and combating cybercrime during the development of the civil information society and Ukraine's entry into the global information space. The study focuses on the economic motivation of most cybercrimes since some material benefit from the fact of cyber offenses is assumed directly or indirectly.

  • 정보화 사회에서 지역주민을 위한 진보적 인간자원개발의 방향성 연구는 정보화사회와 IMF 시기에 중요한 연구다. 인간자원개발은 지역사회에서 적시적소에 훌륭하게 대처할 수 있도록 하는 지역사회의 삶의 질을 높이는 사회보장의 한 과정이라고 할 수 있다. IMF 시절에 이 프로그램에 참여폭이 높아지고 있으며 특히 자신의 분신상승과 재취업과 기술 제고 등은 인간자원의 진보적이며 확고한 능력을 제고하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 분야는 정보화 사회에서 생산의 효율과 유익성에 중요한 전략적인 요소로 작용하고 있다. 역시 인간자원 개발은 국제적인 경영의 한 장으로 다이나믹한 요소로 작용한다. 과거 산업사회의 조직의 세 가지 요소는 바로 자본과 기술 노동이라고 하였지만 정보화 사회에서는 지식과 정보 및 창의력이데 이는 인간적인 능력이라 할 수 있다. 인간자원개발의 요소를 개인적인 개발, 경력개발, 동기유발, 이미지메이킹, 창의력개발, 교육 및 시간관리로 구성하였다.

  • 인간의 동기는 목표를 세우고 행동으로 옮기는 원인을 제공한다. 때문에 인간과 유사한 에이전트의 행동을 실현하기 위하여 동기를 활용한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 현재 연구에서 동기를 활용한 연구는 정적 환경에서의 연구로서, 동적 환경에서의 예기치 못한 상황에 대처가 어렵다. 동적인 환경에서는 에이전트 스스로 목표 설정이 가능해야 한다. 또한 최종으로 선택되는 목표가 명확하고 빠르게 설정되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 에이전트 스스로 목표를 설정하기 위해 동기를 이용한 동기 결정 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 실시간으로 환경을 인지하여 발생된 동기를 단계별로 비교하여 최종 동기를 추출한다. 추출된 동기는 에이전트의 목표 설정 및 실행에 이용한다. 제안한 기법의 타당성을 위해 가상환경 내에서 각기 다른 특성을 가진 에이전트의 행동을 비교하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 여러 동기가 발생 했을 경우 에이전트에 따라 현재 상황에서 가장 적합한 동기를 찾아 작용하는 것을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 각각의 에이전트가 동기 결정을 통해 추출된 최종 동기를 이용해 동적 환경에서 상황에 따라 행동할 수 있는 최적의 목표 설정이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the contents and effective methods of educational program for human resource development focused on the full-time housewives. For this purpose the case interviewed with 24 professionals and management leaders of women education field are performed and 445 questionares from full time housewives who participate in at least one education program are analyzed. The findings of this study are followed. 1. The most preferred programs are sports/health program(28.8%), leisure program(26.5%), household income management program(15.9%), culture/arts program(15.2%) in percentage order. And the first preferred motivation of participation in the programs is the self development(38.4%). 2. The positive effect of program is founded more with participants in family oriented program and society oriented program than in individual oriented program. And the satisfaction degree of participants in family oriented program is higher than in individual/society oriented program. 3. The degree of demands for Program management and program characteristics is higher than the demands for program installations and program supplying methods. 4. In the area of effectiveness methods the demands for program systematization according to program level are most referred.
