강우재현 원심모형실험에 적용하기 위한 수평변위 계측장치의 개발 (Development of Horizontal Displacement Sensor for Rainfall-simulated Centrifugal Model Test)

  • 집중호우는 사면의 붕괴와 사회 기반시설물의 파괴 등을 포함하는 다수의 재해를 유발한다. 이러한 관점에서 강우재현 원심모형실험은 지반구조물의 안정성을 평가하기 위한 합리적인 수단이 될 수 있다. 원심모형실험에서 모형의 변위를 취득하기 위하여 일반적으로 LVDT 또는 레이저 변위계가 사용된다. 그러나 강우모사 시 LVDT는 모형지반으로의 과다 침윤의 문제가 있으며, 레이저 변위계는 레이저의 산란에 의해 계측치의 정확성이 저하된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강우재현 원심모형실험에 적용하기 위한 수평변위 계측장치를 개발하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 탄성의 박철판과 스트레인 게이지를 이용하여 제작된 본 장치는 관입을 위한 말단부를 고정시켜 수행한 검정 결과로부터 정확한 변위-변형률 관계를 나타냄을 확인하였다.

  • A portable mould oscillation analyzer with an integrated computer, developed by POSCO, records the movement of the mould in every spatial direction. The system uses the gap sensors to measure the mould movement (displacement) in two horizontal directions according to the mould narrow and broad faces and the vertical strokes in the four corners of mould. The gap sensor is a non-contacting minute displacement-measuring device using the principle of high frequency eddy current loss. The mould oscillation diagnostic system integrates the gap sensors, their converters and the industrial portable computer with plug-in data acquisition boards. In an own expert module, which is included in the diagnosis program, one can obtain much information about the mould oscillation equipment.

MEASUREMENT OF NUCLEAR FUEL ROD DEFORMATION USING AN IMAGE PROCESSING TECHNIQUE

  • In this paper, a deformation measurement technology for nuclear fuel rods is proposed. The deformation measurement system includes a high-definition CMOS image sensor, a lens, a semiconductor laser line beam marker, and optical and mechanical accessories. The basic idea of the proposed deformation measurement system is to illuminate the outer surface of a fuel rod with a collimated laser line beam at an angle of 45 degrees or higher. For this method, it is assumed that a nuclear fuel rod and the optical axis of the image sensor for observing the rod are vertically composed. The relative motion of the fuel rod in the horizontal direction causes the illuminated laser line beam to move vertically along the surface of the fuel rod. The resulting change of the laser line beam position on the surface of the fuel rod is imaged as a parabolic beam in the high-definition CMOS image sensor. An ellipse model is then extracted from the parabolic beam pattern. The center coordinates of the ellipse model are taken as the feature of the deformed fuel rod. The vertical offset of the feature point of the nuclear fuel rod is derived based on the displacement of the offset in the horizontal direction. Based on the experimental results for a nuclear fuel rod sample with a formation of surface crud, an inspection resolution of 50 ${\mu}m$ is achieved using the proposed method. In terms of the degree of precision, this inspection resolution is an improvement of more than 300% from a 150 ${\mu}m$ resolution, which is the conventional measurement criteria required for the deformation of neutron irradiated fuel rods.

이동통신 단말기 카메라의 손떨림 보정 장치의 H 제어 (H Control on the Optical Image Stabilizer Mechanism in Mobile Phone Cameras)

  • This study proposes a closed-loop shaping control method with $H_{\infty}$ optimization for optical image stabilization (OIS) in mobile phone cameras. The image stabilizer is composed of a horizontal stage constrained by ball bearings and actuated by the magnetic force from voice coil motors. The displacement of the stage is measured by Hall effect sensors. From the OIS frequency response experiment, the transfer function models of the stage and Hall effect sensor were identified. The weight functions were determined considering the tracking performance, noise attenuation, and stability with considerable margins. The $H_{\infty}$ optimal controller was executed using closed-loop shaping and limiting the controller order, which should be less than 6 for real-time implementation. The control algorithm was verified experimentally and proved to operate as designed.

GNSS 기반의 정밀측위 및 미세변위 모니터링 개발 (Development of Precision Positioning and Fine Displacement Monitoring Based on GNSS)

  • 본 논문에서는 GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) 기반의 건설구조물에 대한 미세한 변위를 모니터링하기 위하여 인공위성 GNSS 통신신호와 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)으로 동시 측정하고 그 결과를 분석하여 새로운 정밀측위방식을 제안한 것이다. 대형 건설 구조물에 대한 안전진단과 붕괴위험으로부터 재난을 방지하기 위한 mm단위까지의 정밀측정 방법 중에서 GNSS신기술의 적용으로 그 사례와 실험을 통하여 현재 많이 사용하는 진동계를 대신할 수 있는 영구적인 GNSS 기선방식을 유도하였으며, 이를 실험으로 입증하고자 한 것이다. 그 결과 국내에서의 가상기준점(VRS)에서의 GNSS 기선방식 적용의 정밀측위와 미세변위모니터링에서의 mm급의 수평과 수직방향의 오차를 확인할 수 있었다.

RESEARCH ON ULTRA LOW EMISSION TECHNOLOGY FOR LARGE DISPLACEMENT MOTORCYCLES

  • With the aim of achieving half the regulated value of EURO-3 Emission Regulations, an ultra low emission motorcycle has been developed based on a motorcycle with an 1800 $cm^3$, horizontal opposed 6-cylinder engine. For the fuel supply system, an electronically controlled fuel injection system was applied. For the emission purification system, three-way catalysts, a feedback control system with a LAF(Linear Air-Fuel ratio) sensor, and a secondary air induction system were applied. To reduce CO and HC emissions during cold starting, an early catalyst activation method combining RACV(Rotary Air Control Valve) and retarded ignition timing was applied. After the catalyst activation, air-fuel ratio was controlled to maximize the purification ratio of the catalyst according to vehicle speed. For the air-fuel ratio control system, the LAF sensor was used. Furthermore, fine adjustment by the LAF feedback control reduced torque fluctuation due to the air-fuel ratio change. As a result, smooth ride feeling was maintained. Owing to these technologies, half the regulated value of EURO-3 has been achieved without any negative impact to the large-scaled motorcycles' drivability. This paper presents the developed ultra low emission technologies including the control method using an LAF sensor.

정밀 공작기계 안내면의 평행도 측정 (Parallelism Measurement for Guide Rails of Precision Machine Tools)

  • The guide-ways of precision machine tools are one of important element of machine tools. It has usually a pair of surfaces for constraint of one direction with bearing. In the case of precision machine tools, non-contact bearing such as hydrostatic bearing and aerostatic bearing is adopted usually. In this case, profiles of rails has effect on straightness and the clearance of bearing has effect on stiffness of guide way, which changes to higher if clearance changes to smaller. The clearance is varied along moving table according to relative distance of pair of rails. The relative distance of pair of rail can be divided by three properties. First and second properties are straightness of each pair of rail and bearing pad. And, third is parallelism about pair of rails and pairs of bearing pad. There are several methods for measuring straightness of each surface such as reversal method, sequential two point method, and way straightness. These straightness measuring methods are always acquiring deviation of profile from eliminating linear fitted inclined line and don't have the information of parallelism. Therefore, to get the small clearance for high stiffness, the straightness of rail and bearing pad and parallelism about pair of rails and pair of bearing pads are measured for correction such as regrinding, reassembling and lapping. In this research, new and easy method for measuring parallelism of pair of rails is suggested. Two displacement probe and sensor stage, which is carry on the displacement sensor, are needed. The simulation and experiment was accomplished about pair of horizontal guide way to confirm the measurement of parallelism. And, the third probe is added to measure the straightness of each rails by sequential two point method. From the estimation of combined these two methods, it is confirmed that the profiles of a pairs of rails can be measured.

MEMS형 경사계 센서의 유효성 평가 (Development of MEMS Inclinometer Sensor System)

  • 경사계 센서는 여러분야에서 널리 적용되고 있는 센서 중의 하나이다. 특히 건축분야에서는 초고층 건물의 수직도와 수평도를 계측하고 모니터링하는데 적용되어 왔다. 최근 미소전기기계 시스템(MEMS: Micro Electro-Mechanical System)기술의 발달로 인해 많은 센서들이 개발되었다. 본 논문에서 논하고자 하는 MEMS형 경사계는 MEMS형 가속도계를 기반으로 한다. 정지한 상태에서 가속도계로 계측되는 정적 가속도와 중력가속도 사이의 관계를 이용하면 센서에 발생하는 경사를 계측할 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 원리 때문에 좀 더 정확하고 이점을 갖는 경사계가 개발되었다. 보 실험을 통하여서 레이저 변위계와의 차이를 검증하였다. 실험결과 무선 MEMS형 경사계 센서 시스템은 높은 정확도, 안정성, 장기모니터링에 대한 경제성을 갖는 유용한 시스템임을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 무선 MEMS형 경사계 센서 시스템은 건축분야에서 그리고 다른 여러 산업분야에서 정확하고 편리한 모니터링 시스템으로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In order to prevent shell sticking by providing sufficient lubrication between the strand and the mold, the mold oscillation has been used. Now it is well known that the shape of the oscillation curve has a decisive effect on the surface quality of the cast product. Besides, oscillation parameters such as stroke and frequency are also very important. In order to guarantee that parameters which have been found to be optimal for a certain grade of steel do not change with time, periodical checks of the physical condition of the whole equipment are necessary. The portable mold oscillation analyzer with integrated computer, developed by POSCO, records the movement of the mold in every spatial direction. The system uses the gap sensors to measure the mold movement (displacement ) in the two horizontal directions according to the mold narrow and broad faces and the vertical strokes in the four corners of mold. The gap sensor is a non-contacting minute displacement measuring device using the principle of high frequency eddy current loss. The mold oscillation diagnosis system integrates the gap sensors, their converters and the industrial portable computer with plug-in data acquisition boards. The all programs, such as the fast Fourier transformation module (amplitude and phase spectrums) and harmonic analysis module, was coded by LabVIEW$^{TM}$ software as the graphical language. In an own 'expert module' which is included in the diagnosis program, one can obtain much information about the mold oscillation equipment.

Tension Wire 계측을 통한 비탈면의 3차원 거동 분석 (3-D Analysis of Slope by Tension Wire Sensing)

  • 비탈면 계측시스템이 예전에 비해 많이 개선되긴 했지만, 주로 하드웨어적인 측면의 개선에 치우쳤다. 실제 비탈면의 거동은 3차원 거동이며, 3차원 거동해석은 많은 변수를 함유하고 있어 비탈면 안정해석을 위한 비탈면 거동분석프로그램은 상대적으로 개발이 부족하였다. 일차원 해석은 방향의 고려 없이 길이의 증감만을 나타내나, 실제 비탈면 현장의 경우 3차원 공간상 변화를 나타낸다. 3차원상의 공간좌표를 확정하기 위하여 결정되어야 하는 값들은 길이, 수평각 및 수직각이다. 그러므로 두 방향 및 길이 변화를 고려한 좌표 시스템을 이용하여 새로운 좌표들을 구할 경우, 3차원의 공간을 분할하여 수평변화 및 수직변화를 구분하여 비탈면의 거동을 해석할 수 있다. 본 해석 모델을 충청북도 DY비탈면의 계측 data에 적용하였다. 현장 계측자료를 3-D 해석한 결과 비탈면은 전반적으로 오른쪽으로 이동하고 있으며, 변위가 도로방향으로 일어남과 동시에 수직변위가 발생하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 현재 비탈면은 계측지점 간 누적변위가 4.3cm 이내인 미소거동을 하며, 계측지점 모두 거동양상이 유사한 변위 방향 및 크기를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있다.
