In the 20th Century, urban regeneration was changed to holistic regeneration and Ballymun of Ireland was one of the example of leading projects which using holistic regeneration over ten years. In Deajeon, there is a successful project call as "Rainbow project", using holistic regeneration. Any previous case needs to be checked thoroughly and the result needs to be studied for next project. The purpose of this study was to delineate the effect of Socio-Physical regeneration on social network. For this research, research tool was developed to combination of previous social exclusion index. This research was a survey research which used Systematic Random Sampling. In conclusion, it was not enough time to change people's behavior dramatically but even though a change is very low, it is very meaningful. Changing from people's behavior to people's mind, is a step to a goal.

The purpose of this study is to overview foreign trends in the study of the landscape ecology through new framework of landscape ecological studies and to suggest possibility and limitation of introduction of landscape ecology studies in Korea. Because of historical reasons rooted in different disciplines, landscape ecology of the present time is not unified at all. Therefore, landscape ecology should be understood in an integrative manner accommodating different views and various aspects of landscape(NOOS, GEOS, BIOS). Facing the increasing environmental problems and the goal of sustainable landscape, the principle of a holistic approach complementarity and transdisciplinarity outlined in this paper (esp. connection physical-materials and cognitive system) might help to understand the characteristics of landscapes and landscape ecology. Important steps towards this direction are the landscape survey, diagnosis, the identification of landscape functions, the development of landscape evaluation models and landscape planning system. Recently there have been a few landscape ecological researches in Korea, which tells there have been strong needs to solve practical landscape problems caused by the rapid socioeconomic growth for several decades. However, almost of this studies are focused on cognitive and visual aspects of landscapes defined boundaries of disciplines. But for more holistic approach complementarity and transdisciplinarity in landscape ecological studies, many other aspects such as the consideration of geoecological and bioecologocal variables, preperation of ecological basic data(mapping) and the development of landscape planning as a tool for practical application should be integrated into the whole landscape system.

This paper discusses a new perspective in health approach and the effect of health life on health status, and suggests some points to be improved in the establishment of health policies hereafter. Today's health problems changed from the acute epidemic diseases caused by simple factor to the multifactorial chronic diseases. Therefore, the health approach tries the holistic health approach, that is, the integrative approach by the interdisciplinary cooperation. With the advent of holistic health and holistic medicine in 1970's, the behavioral medicine was born in 1977, which is the interdisciplinary field concerned with the development and integration of behavioral and biomedical science knowledge and techniques relevent to prevention, diagnosis and treatment. As a means to the reducement of the unnecessary medical utilization and medical expense, the medical self care and self-help movement is well under way in the countries of America, England, and Canada, in which lay persons are encouraged to actively function for themselves to prevent, detect and treat common illnesses and to promote positive health habits through the health activation programs such as The Course for Activated Patients and The Health Activated Person. This study shows that the individual health life gives great positive effect to his health status with the reducement of medical expense. These above facts suggest that the preventive health programs such as health education should be developed and strengthened instead of medical care-oriented health policy.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate changes regarding knowledge. attitude and practice toward end-of-life care in nursing university students. Method: This study adopted nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 35 in the experimental group and 35 in the control group. The education was performed for 2 hours a session, once a week for 16 weeks. Data was analyzed by the SPSS/WIN 14 computer program, and included $X^2$ test. independent t-test. and repeated measure ANOVA. Results: There were statistically significant differences in knowledge toward end-of-life care between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: Findings suggested that holistic education on end-of-life care was effective to change students' knowledge toward end-of-life care. Therefore. holistic education is recommended as nursing education for nursing university students.

In the present highly changing era, every dimension from Technology to Education, Environment to Sanitation and from Agriculture to our Food basket is getting changed. Our experiences say that the most affected ethnic group from this rapidly changing pattern of our food intake, lifestyle are our adolescent. This is also a fact that our adolescent passes their 2/3 of time of a day in their schools. In this regard our school system needs to formulate their comprehensive approach to Health for our adolescents. On other hand Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of Medicine had expressed views on a concept of Holistic Health thousand years ago. This research article is an attempt of borrowing this valuable concept from Ayurveda and suggesting to introduce them into our comprehensive school health programme such as concept of wellness, quality of life, Holistic Health and measures related to diet and lifestyle for preservation, promotion of health and prevention of disorders etc. This manuscript also evaluates the existing approaches of school health programmes towards current scenario. Now a day's our food habits, dietary intake and the life style are not at the level of satisfactory condition this lead to early onset of metabolic chronic disorder especially in our adolescents because on the basis of age-immunity relationship they are easily targeted. The chronic metabolic disorders results into overweight, obesity, anxiety, mental trauma, distress, over- fatigued, incapable for physical work, getting tired soon. This article provides a space to rethink and reformulate our school health programmes in light of our ancient tradition of medicine.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its different work streams, such as 4D planning (4D), are among the major drivers for change in the construction industry. The primary aim of this research is to create a holistic map of both the barriers and drivers affecting the industrial uptake of BIM and 4D through the use of an extensive literature review and a survey of contractors and consultants from the UK AEC (Architectural, Engineering and Construction) industry. This research demonstrates that while non-technical barriers such as the inefficiency in the evaluation of the business value of BIM and 4D; the shortage of experience within the workforce, and the lack of awareness by stakeholders are recognized by professionals as main barriers to BIM and 4D adoption, current research is still largely concerned with technical advancement of BIM and 4D technologies. A holistic map of the driving and restraining forces affecting BIM and 4D widespread adoption was provided. The tackling of the non-technical barriers identified will help bridge the gap between technology, end-users and their processes.

Until now, several comparative approaches were developed within the studies of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese traditional housings. In those studies, however, each space in the traditional houses was only treated in individual and fragmentary manners, and they lacked the interpretation of the topological attribute of each space within a holistic structure organized by unit spaces, and of the cultural-behavioral meaning of them within a holistic space-use pattern of the housing. The topological attribute and behavioral meaning can be analyzed and interpreted with the quantitative spatial analysis method such as Space Syntax. This study aims to analyze the traditional housings in Korea, China and Japan in the holistic aspect of spatial structure using Space Syntax, and to compare the analysis results with relating the structural attributes to the space-use pattern. In this study, the 'Banga' in Chosun era, the 'Siheyuan' in Ming-Ching era, and the 'Shoinzukuri' in Edo era were selected as the analysis subjects. The integration indices were calculated from the convex maps representing the subjects, and the common and different attributes of the three subjects were defined through comparative analyses.

The purpose of this study was to identify calls, roles and attitudes of the Christian medical staff in a modern medical system for holistic healing through belief in God's healing methods and God's view about medical treatment. The meaning of healing in the Bible is derived from Rapha in the Old Testament, it's meaning is 'heal wound', 'restore to original condition', 'repair', 'console' and 'be heal'. In the New Testament, the meaning of healing is 'to serve' and 'be in one's service' derived from Therapuein and preserve', 'rescue', 'save a life from death' derived from Sozo. The term of soteriology originated from Sozo. Therefore the meaning of the healing in the Bible is restoring original completeness to the same as Cod's characteristics. The meaning of disease is physical, psychological, social and spiritual imbalance or disharmonious. Disease is usually depravity from moral life to immoral life and abnormal life process with accompaning specific symptoms. Medical staff were called to God's work. recognized God's will for them, and absolutely leaned on God's power to intervene and work above spatial-temporal transcendently. They use spiritual power with medical treatment skills, help sick people to possibly have dynamic and individual relation with God and help to maintain their well-being and complete healing. Attitudes of medical staff were compassion and love, virtue of modesty, strong and daring, patience with belief, healing with God's word, using spiritual insight, play. using medical knowledge and techniques, continuing spiritual training, laying on of hands and repentance.

Purpose: This review describes the historical changes in nutrition philosophy from a reductionist to a holistic approach during the $20^{th}$ century. Also, the role and efficient use of a holistic approach to precision nutrition are discussed. Results: Over the past century, significant progress has been made in human nutrition research, unraveling fundamental mechanisms of single nutrients on single targets or pathways. This kind of a reductionist approach has helped to save populations from nutrient deficiency diseases and improve associated health outcomes in large parts of the world. However, a new set of nutrition problems, like obesity and diet-related chronic diseases, are growing each year worldwide, increasing the financial burden on the health care system. A linear cause-effect association between single nutrients and a single physiologic effect, is insufficient to solve the complex nutrition-health relationships. Research that involves a more holistic rather than reductionist approach is needed to tackle a new set of nutrition problems. Recent advances in technology, informatics, and statistical methods are enabling an understanding of the diversity of individuals and the complex interactions between foods and human bodies, leading to the concept of "precision nutrition." Conclusion: The emerging goal of precision nutrition is to provide tailored dietary advice for maintaining health and preventing obesity and diet-related chronic diseases. The parts are already being installed. To grab the complexity, reductionism and holism must be used interdependently.

This study aimed to investigate the interactive effects of individual's cultural disposition (individualism, collectivism, horizontal disposition and vertical disposition) and cognitive style (analytic vs. holistic thinking) combination on differences in global precedence. For this purpose, the participants were divided into 4 different cultural disposition groups based on Singelis et al.'s(1995) INDCOL scale, and 2 cognitive style groups based on Choi et al.'s(2007) AHS, and required to respond selectively to global or local property of two types of compound stimuli (compound figure and compound letter). Reaction time and error rates for both global or local property were analyzed and compared as the dependent measurement. The results can be summarized as followings. First, faster responses were observed in compound figure condition than in compound letter condition, and to global property than to local property. Second, contrasting to individualism-cognitive style or horizontal disposition-cognitive style combinations, significant interaction effects both between collectivism and cognitive style, and between vertical disposition and cognitive style on global/local processing were found. This result indicated that combinations of collectivism-holistic thinking and vertical disposition-holistic thinking can induced larger global precedence effect than other combinations of cultural disposition and cognitive style.
