정상상태에서 드리프트-확산 방정식의 소신호 해석 프로그램 개발 (A Development of the Small Signal Analyzer for the Stationary Drift-Diffusion Equation)

  • 정상상태에서 반도체 소자의 전기적 특성을 분석할 수 있는 소신호 해석용 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 전위와 전자 및 정공 농도의 Slotboom변수에 대한 소신호 응답을 정의한 후 $S^3A$방법을 적용하여 ,DC 동작점에서 반도체 방정식을 선형화하였다. 행렬풀이를 위해 전진해법을 사용하여 메모리 소비량을 최소화하며 고주파 영역에서 소신호 해의 정확성을 향상시켰다. 구현된 알고리즘의 검증을 위해 3차원 구조를 갖는 N'P 다이오드 및 2차원 구조를 갖는 n-MOSFET에 대해 소신호 해석을 수행하여 MEDICI와 비교한 결과, 인가 전압에 따른 컨덕턴스와 캐패시턴스의 평균 상대 오차는 N'P 다이오드에서는 0.87%와 2.6%이고, n-MOSFET의 경우 7.75%와 2.24%로 나타났다. n-MOSFET에 대하여 입력신호의 주파수 변화에 따른 컨덕턴스와 캐패시턴스를 비교한 결과 MEDICI의 경우 10GHz까지 예측한 반면 본 논문이 제시한 방법을 이용한 모의실험은 100GHz까지 예측이 가능하여 고주파 영역에서 모의실험의 정확도가 향상됨을 확인하였다.

  • Service conditions for structures at elevated temperatures in nuclear power plant involve transient thermal and mechanical load levels that are severe enough to caeuse inelastic deformations due to creep and plasticity. Therefore, a systematic mehtod of inelastic analysis is needed for the design of structural components in nuclear poser plants subjected to such loading conditions. In the present investigation, the Chabodhe model, one of the unified viscoplastic constitutive equations, was selected for systematic inelastic analysis. The material response was integrated based on GMR ( generallized mid-point rule) time integral scheme and provided to ABAQUS as a material subroutine, UMAT program. By comparing results obtaned from uniaxial analysis using the developed UMAT program with those from Runge-Kutta solutions and experimentaiton, the validity of the adopted Chaboche model and the numerical stability and accuracy of the developed UMAT program were verified. In addition, the developed material subroutine was applied for uniaxial creep and tension analyses for the plate with a hole in the center. The application further demonstrates usefulness of the developed program.

Extended-FEM for the solid-fluid mixture two-scale problems with BCC and FCC microstructures

  • An aim of the study is to develop an efficient numerical simulation technique that can handle the two-scale analysis of fluid permeation filters fabricated by the partial sintering technique of small spherical ceramics. A solid-fluid mixture homogenization method is introduced to predict the mechanical characters such as rigidity and permeability of the porous ceramic filters from the micro-scale geometry and configuration of partially-sintered particles. An extended finite element (X-FE) discretization technique based on the enriched interpolations of respective characteristic functions at fluid-solid interfaces is proposed for the non-interface-fitted mesh solution of the micro-scale analysis that needs non-slip condition at the interface between solid and fluid phases of the unit cell. The homogenization and localization performances of the proposed method are shown in a typical two-dimensional benchmark problem whose model has a hole in center. Three-dimensional applications to the body-centered cubic (BCC) and face-centered cubic (FCC) unit cell models are also shown in the paper. The 3D application is prepared toward the computer-aided optimal design of ceramic filters. The accuracy and stability of the X-FEM based method are comparable to those of the standard interface-fitted FEM, and are superior to those of the voxel type FEM that is often used in such complex micro geometry cases.

Al2O3/CNTs 하이브리드소재의 와이어 방전연삭을 이용한 마이크로 방전가공 특성 (Characteristics of Micro EDM using Wire Electrical Discharge Grinding for Al2O3/CNTs Hybrid Materials)

  • Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is an attractive machining technique but it requires electrically conductive ceramic materials. In this study, Alumina matrix composites reinforced with CNTs were fabricated through CNT purification, mixing, compaction and spark plasma sintering (SPS) processes. $Al_2O_3$ nanocomposites with the different CNT concentrations were synthesized. The mechanical and electrical characteristics of $Al_2O_3$/CNTs composites were examined in order to apply the materials to the EDM process. In addition, micro-EDM using wire electrical discharge grinding (WEDG) was conducted under the various EDM parameters to investigate the machining characteristics of machined hole by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM). The results show that $Al_2O_3$/CNTs 10%Vol. was more suitable than the other materials because high conductivity and large discharge energy caused violent sparks resulting in bad machining accuracy and surface quality.

보행형 배추정식기 개발 (Development of Walking Type Chinese Cabbage Transplanter)

  • Manual transplanting Chinese cabbage needs 184 hours per ha in Korea. Mechanization of Chinese cabbage transplanting operation has been highly required because it needs highly intensive labor during peak season. This study was conducted to developed walking-type Chinese cabbage transplanter. In order to find out design factor of the transplanter, a kinematic analysis software, RecurDyn, was used. The prototype was tested in the circular soil bin and its operating motion was captured and analyzed using high speed camera system. Prototype was one row type which utilized original parts of engine, transmission and etc. from walking-type rice transplanter in order to save the manufacturing cost. Success ratio of pick-up device of hole-pin type and latch type were $96.0\%$ and $99.2\%$, respectively. which was highly affected by feeding accuracy of feeding device of seedling. Transplanting device of the prototype produced a elliptic loci which were coincident with those produced by the computer simulation. Prototype proved good performance in transplanting with mulching and without mulching operation, either. Working performance of prototype was 22 hours per ha and operation cost of the prototype was 961,757 won per ha. So, it would reduce $88\%$ of the labor and $29\%$ of operation cost.

터널발파 작업시 여굴 저감을 위한 천공방법 연구 (A Study on the Drilling Methods to reduce Overbreak in Tunnel Blasting)

  • 여굴 또는 미굴은 터널발파 결과를 평가하는데 있어서 가장 중요한 지표중 하나이다. 폭약량과 종류, 암질상태, 천공상태에 따라 좌우되는 여굴은 터널시공의 경제성과 직결되므로 현장의 많은 발파기술자들은 이를 최소화하기 위한 노력을 끊임없이 시도하여 왔다. 일반적으로 천공은 여굴을 야기하는 가장 중요한 요소로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 천공과 관련된 다양한 작업방법들이 여굴과 천공의 정확도에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 여굴을 저감하기 위한 실제 작업모델을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 1차적으로 굴착선공 적정 공간격, 점보드릴의 천공각 변화, 굴착선공 천공착점 위치, 굴착선공 표시 등 4개 항목 45회의 실험을 실시하였다. 여굴을 줄이기 위해서는 작업자 및 감독자들의 의지와 노력이 무엇보다도 중요하였고 천공방법 및 패턴을 일부 개선하므로써 천공으로 인한 여굴량을 적지 않게 줄일수 있다고 판단되었다.

정위 마스크 시스템을 사용한 방사선수술시 회전중심점의 재현성 (Isocenter Reproducibility with Mask Fixation System in Stereotactic Radiosurgery)

  • 치료대상 병소에 분할 방사선수술을 시술할 경우 회전중심(isocenter)은 정확하고 재현성 이 있어야 한다. 본 연구는 노발리스 방사선 수술장비와 정위 마스크 시스템을 사용한 분할방사선 수술에서 회전중심의 재현성을 측정하고 평가 하였다. 마스크는 열가소성 재질의 상용을 사용하였고 회전중심의 재현성을 측정하기 위해 고안된 머리 모양의 아크릴 팬텀에 맞도록 제작하였다. 팬텀의 내부에는 직경 5 mm의 아크릴봉을 수직으로 세우고 그 끝단을 회전중심으로 선택하였으며 예상되는 회전중심점에 pin hole을 낸 monochromic 필름을 설치하여 방사선 조사 후 회전중심의 재현성을 측정할 수 있도록 하였다. 측정 결과 회전중심은 공간오차가 평균 1 mm 이내이고 표준편차 또한 2 mm 이내여서 이미 보고된 타 문헌에서의 측정값과 비교해 볼 때 모든 측정값이 제시된 오차범위 내에 있었다. 결론적으로 분할방사선수술에 사용하는 정위 마스크 시스템은 매우 정확하고 재현성이 우수하였으며, 실제로 방사선 수술대상의 병소의 직경이 10 mm 정도 이상이라면 일반적인 한번의 고선량 방사선 수술에 정위 마스크 시스템의 사용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS TO EVALUATE THE TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF CdZnTe DETECTORS USING ALPHA PARTICLES AND LOW-ENERGY GAMMA-RAYS

  • A sensitivity analysis of the methods used to evaluate the transport properties of a CdZnTe detector was performed using two different radiations (${\alpha}$ particle and gamma-ray) emitted from an $^{241}Am$ source. The mobility-lifetime products of the electron-hole pair in a planar CZT detector ($5{\times}5{\times}2\;mm^3$) were determined by fitting the peak position as a function of biased voltage data to the Hecht equation. To verify the accuracy of these products derived from ${\alpha}$ particles and low-energy gamma-rays, an energy spectrum considering the transport property of the CZT detector was simulated through a combination of the deposited energy and the charge collection efficiency at a specific position. It was found that the shaping time of the amplifier module significantly affects the determination of the (${\mu}{\tau}$) products; the ${\alpha}$ particle method was stabilized with an increase in the shaping time and was less sensitive to this change compared to when the gamma-ray method was used. In the case of the simulated energy spectrum with transport properties evaluated by the ${\alpha}$ particle method, the peak position and tail were slightly different from the measured result, whereas the energy spectrum derived from the low-energy gamma-ray was in good agreement with the experimental results. From these results, it was confirmed that low-energy gamma-rays are more useful when seeking to obtain the transport properties of carriers than ${\alpha}$ particles because the methods that use gamma-rays are less influenced by the surface condition of the CZT detector. Furthermore, the analysis system employed in this study, which was configured by a combination of Monte Carlo simulation and the Hecht model, is expected to be highly applicable to the study of the characteristics of CZT detectors.

PCB소자 분리용 컷팅지그 개발 (Development of Cutting Jig using Separation of PCB component)

  • 본 연구개발은 PCB소자 분리에 있어 개별적 레이저 커팅의 문제점을 개선하는 것으로, 다수개의 PCB소자가 결합된 PCB시트를 단시간에 커팅 할 수 있는 멀티지그 개발이 목적이다. 설계는 베이스프레임에 PCB서포터가 안착, 모델별 PCB서포터가 분리가능하게 설계 하였으며, 상부 레이저 투과공의 고정을 위하여 네오디움 자석을 양쪽에 각각 채택 지그를 완료 하였다. 개발성과는 하나의 베이스프레임으로 다양한 규격의 PCB소자 및 모듈의 고정과, PCB소자에 연결된 브릿지의 컷팅작업이 가능하도록 설계, 프레임제작과 교체에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 줄여 생산원가의 절감형 지그 개발로, 기존 타발식에 비해 정밀도 약 70% 상향 및 시설 투자비 약 400%를 절감하였다.

Design of a scintillator-based prompt gamma camera for boron-neutron capture therapy: Comparison of SrI2 and GAGG using Monte-Carlo simulation

  • Boron-neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a cancer treatment method that exploits the high neutron reactivity of boron. Monitoring the prompt gamma rays (PGs) produced during neutron irradiation is essential for ensuring the accuracy and safety of BNCT. We investigate the imaging of PGs produced by the boron-neutron capture reaction through Monte Carlo simulations of a gamma camera with a SrI2 scintillator and parallel-hole collimator. GAGG scintillator is also used for a comparison. The simulations allow the shapes of the energy spectra, which exhibit a peak at 478 keV, to be determined along with the PG images from a boron-water phantom. It is found that increasing the size of the water phantom results in a greater number of image counts and lower contrast. Additionally, a higher septal penetration ratio results in poorer image quality, and a SrI2 scintillator results in higher image contrast. Thus, we can simulate the BNCT process and obtain an energy spectrum with a reasonable shape, as well as suitable PG images. Both GAGG and SrI2 crystals are suitable for PG imaging during BNCT. However, for higher imaging quality, SrI2 and a collimator with a lower septal penetration ratio should be utilized.
