유한요소법을 이용한 초정밀 미동스테이지 설계에 관한 연구(I) (A Study on the Design of Ultra Precision Positioning Apparatus using FEM (I))

  • Because, Piezo-electric transducer(PZT) transform electric energy into mechanical energy, it is a adequate material for positioning control and force control, take excellent properties as actuator with high speed and high performance. Recently, researches of ultra precision positioning using this PZT are advanced in. In this paper, we use a actuator of PZT, design a positioning apparatus with ultra precision position apparatus as hinge structure. Because of this purpose, before, we were confirmed in control properties of ultra precision stage by FEM method.

볼나사 구동 리니어 스테이지의 마그네틱 센서 위치결정 실험 (The Position Decision Experiment of Magnetic Sensor in Ball-screw Driven Linear Stage)

  • High precision machining technology has become one of the important parts in the development of a precision machine. Such a machine requires high precision positioning as well as high speed on a large workspace. For machining systems having a high precision positioning with a long stroke, it is necessary to examine the repeatability of reference position decision. Though ball-screw driven linear stages equipped linear scale have high precision feed drivers and a long stroke, they have some limitations for reference position decision if they have not equipped the accurate home sensor. This study is performed to experimentally examine the repeatability for home position decision of a magnetic sensor as a home switch of ball-screw driven linear stage by using capacitance probe.

사장교의 케이블 길이조정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cable Length Adjustment of Cable-Stayed Bridges)

  • Generally, cable-stayed bridges are both statically indeterminate structure with a high degree of redundancy and flexible structure. So it is very important to ensure precision control during both fabrication and construction. In precision control of cable-stayed bridges, precision control under multi-objective programming method is needed, because precision control problem of cable-stayed bridges is a multi-objective programming problem in which many objective functions are regard as variables. In previous studies, it was regarded as a single-objective problem, so it had many problems in respect of usefulness and rationalness. In this study, precision control under multi-objective programming method is proposed considering economy, efficiency, and safety at best in precision control of cable-stayed bridges. Precision control problem of cable-stayed bridges is formulated with satisfying trade-off method which is a kind of multi-objective programming method, then it is optimized with min-max method. A computer program is presented including above process.

  • The position control is very important in semiconductor manufacturing devices, precision machining tools, precision measuring instruments, etc. The accuracy of measurement for the distance in these devices affect on the performance of the whole devices. Therefore, in those precision instruments, a sensing device that can measure the distance of movement with high-precision resolution is required. In this paper, a novel hybrid (digital and analog) type encoder is proposed. It is shown that from several experiments, a high-resolution angular position measurement device can be designed with a low cost incremental encoder and a DSP controller.

The authors have previously improved the repeatability positioning precision by employing a two-degree-of-freedom PID controller in the positioning control, rather than equal distance positioning, and investigates the repeatability positioning precision.

  • 고정밀 교류전원 제어시스템은 교통관제등과 같은 가변 부하를 운영하는데 중요하다. 이러한 시스템은 가변부하에 대응하기 위하여 제어의 정밀성이 요구되며, 이를 위하여 AC/DC/AC 변환이 가능한 인버터를 주로 사용하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 고정밀 전류제어를 수행하기 위하여 개선된 전류계측 기법을 이용한 제어시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 계측기법은 전류의 궤환된 계측을 순시적 실효치의 이동평균법을 사용하여 응답 및 정밀성을 개선한 방식이다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 및 실험의 결과는 제안된 시스템의 타당성을 입증할 수 있었으며, 이는 항공관제 유도시스템의 조명제어 장치에도 폭넓게 적용되리라 사료된다.

A High-speed Atomic Force Microscope for Precision Measurement of Microstructured Surfaces

  • This paper describes a contact atomic force microscope (AFM) that can be used for high-speed precision measurements of microstructured surfaces. The AFM is composed of an air-bearing X stage, an air-bearing spindle with the axis of rotation in the Z direction, and an AFM probe unit. The traversing distance and maximum speed of the X stage are 300 mm and 400 mm/s, respectively. The spindle has the ability to hold a sample in a vacuum chuck with a maximum diameter of 130 mm and has a maximum rotation speed of 300 rpm. The bandwidth of the AFM probe unit in an open loop control circuit is more than 40 kHz. To achieve precision measurements of microstructured surfaces with slopes, a scanning strategy combining constant height measurements with a slope compensation technique is proposed. In this scanning strategy, the Z direction PZT actuator of the AFM probe unit is employed to compensate for the slope of the sample surface while the microstructures are scanned by the AFM probe at a constant height. The precision of such a scanning strategy is demonstrated by obtaining profile measurements of a microstructure surface at a series of scanning speeds ranging from 0.1 to 20.0 mm/s.
