In this study, glass fibers are fabricated via a continuous spinning process using manganese slag, steel slag, and silica stone. To fabricate the glass fibers, raw materials are put into an alumina crucible, melted at $1550^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs, and then annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs. We obtain a black colored glass. We identify the non-crystalline nature of the glass using an XRD(x-ray diffractometer) graph. An adaptable temperature for spinning of the bulk marble glass is characterized using a high temperature viscometer. Spinning is carried out using direct melting spinning equipment as a function of the fiberizing temperature in the range of $1109^{\circ}C$ to $1166^{\circ}C$, while the winder speed is in the range of 100rpm to 250rpm. We investigate the various properties of glass fibers. The average diameters of the glass fibers are measured by optical microscope and FE-SEM. The average diameter of the glass fibers is $73{\mu}m$ at 100rpm, $65{\mu}m$ at 150rpm, $55{\mu}m$ at 200rpm, and $45{\mu}m$ at 250rpm. The mechanical properties of the fibers are confirmed using a UTM(Universal materials testing machine). The average tensile strength of the glass fibers is 21MPa at 100rpm, 31MPa at 150rpm, 34MPa at 200rpm, and 45MPa at 250rpm.

As production of LCD increases, it has become necessary to find an economically efficient way of treating LCD wastewater with high concentration of fluoride. This study focuses on the calcium sources : $CaCl_2$, $Ca(OH)_2$ and $CaCO_3$ for the treatment of the LCD wastewater including high concentration of fluoride. Of course considering removal efficiency and economical aspect, study is continued. Then this study have objective giving aid to field. Consequently, each calcium source's removal efficiency was measured in various pH, calcium dosage, reaction time, and mixing intensity. The optimum operational conditions for $CaCl_2$ were found to be pH of 7, calcium dosage of 0.4[Ca]/[F] (mol / mol), 1 hr of operation and 200 rpm of mixing intensity. For $Ca(OH)_2$, they were pH of 7, calcium dosage of 30 mL/L, 1 hr of operation, and 200 rpm of mixing intensity. While $CaCO_3$ had operational conditions of pH of 4, calcium dosage of 30 mL/L, 1 hr operation and 200 rpm of mixing intensity. But it is recommended to use calcium sources according to various field conditions.
DME, a clean fuel that is being studied as an alternative fuel for diesel engines, can reduce exhaust gas, which is the one of the crucial problems of diesel engines, and has a very high cetane number and high oxygen content. DME is a fuel has properties similar with LPG and can use the infrastructure of LPG. In this study, The target was to build a database of basic data on the mass flow rate discharged for the performance evaluation of the plunger-type high pressure pump. In this study, the mass flow rate of the DME plunger type high pressure pump was analyzed by changing the common rail pressure and the motor rotation speed. The experimental conditions were the common rail pressure was changed from 300 to 500 bar and the motor rotation speed was changed from 300 to 1000 rpm. In addition, basic mass flow data were constructed to high-pressure pumps for DME. As a result of the experiment, in both cases the mass flow rate was increased.
This trial was carried out to set up a proper drum speed of thresher to minimize the mechanical damage from threshing and thereby to obtain rye seeds possessing higher qualities for seeds. Rye plants were harvested at from 40 to 60 days after heading (DAH) with 5 days intervals and spread out on the field for 0, I, 2, 3 days for drying, respectively. After drying the plants were subjected to threshing at seven steps of drum speed from 400 to 1000 rotation per minute (RPM) of a thresher, drum diam. 18.6cm, teeth length 6cm. At 500 to 600 RPM and from the plants harvested at 55DAH with drying for one or two days, the seeds possessed low grain damage, high germinability over 90%, and field emergence rate over 80%.

Recently, global climate change caused by greenhouse gases has emerged as a significant air-environmental problem. Technical innovation in response to this phenomenon is ongoing, with an emphasis on the environmental impacts of unusually high temperatures and unexpected heavy rainfall. In this study, we investigated the effects of temperature change on air pollution for a concomitant rapid temperature increase. The test conditions include loading from 0 % to 100 % at 1400 rpm, 1600 rpm, and 1800 rpm for a change in the intake air temperature of a marine diesel engine from 20 ℃ to 50 ℃. The experimental results revealed that CO and HC decreased slightly, whereas the brake specific fuel consumption, NOx, and PM increased slightly when the intake air temperature changed. In addition, it was determined that the combustion temperature did not change significantly.

This study is to figure out the fuel injection characteristics according to the injection pressure and engine speed in the fuel supply system for gas fuel. The fuel rail pressure was from 1.5 to 6.0 bar by 1.5 bar increment and engine speed was set 1,000 ~ 6,000 RPM at interval of 1000 RPM. Considering the real engine operation, the injection pulse width was set 2.5ms, 5.0ms, and 13.0ms which correspond low, mid and high load condition respectively. In conclusion, in case of 100cc fuel rail, 4.5 bar of injection pressure showed best performance and the minimum required injection quantity 53cc which guarantees engine output can be obtained in each 1000~ 6000 rpm engine speed.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the flow control oil pump for automatic transmission. The numerical model for analysis the performance of the flow control oil pump was develop and the characteristics of the internal flow, discharge flow rate, displacement of outer ring, driving torque, generation of cavitation was investigated according to rotating speed. As a result, the cavitation generation increased as the rotating speed increased. The volumetric efficiency was 90% for 2200 rpm and it decreased rapidly, then it decreased about 81% for 5000 rpm. Besides, the cavitation generation was 20%~30% for inlet of suction part, but it reduced below 13% owing to the compression. However, it shows higher cavitation generation for high rotating speed like 5000 rpm.
Inertial navigation system has navigation errors because of the error of inertial measurement unit (IMU) and misalignment over time. In order to solve this problem, aided navigation system is performed using global navigation satellite system (GNSS), speedometer, etc. The inertial navigation system equipped with underwater vehicle mainly uses speedometer and performed aided navigation because satellite signals do not pass through underwater. There are DVL, EM-Log, and RPM in the speedometer, and the sensors are applied according to the system environment. This paper describes velocity aided navigation using RPM of inertial navigation system operating in high speed and deep water environment. In addition, we proposes an algorithm to compensate the limit of RPM with straight direction and the current velocity error. There are results of monte-calo simulation to prove performance of the proposed algorithm.
The electrical and frictional properties of oil-impregnated sintered-metal bearing (OSB) and herringbone-grooved fluid bearing (HFB) with varying loads and speeds were measured. OSB shows very good performance up to 20,000 rpm and 0.05 N, and HFB successfully works up to 35,000 rpm and 0.05 N. From the endurance tests on start-stop and continuous operation, it was confirmed that those bearings could be mass-produced fur use on scanner motor in a laser scanner unit.
