  • The task of vision safety monitoring in construction environments presents a formidable challenge, owing to the dynamic and heterogeneous nature of these settings. Despite the advancements in artificial intelligence, the nuanced analysis of small or tiny personal protective equipment (PPE) remains a complex endeavor. In response to this challenge, this paper introduces an innovative safety monitoring system, specifically designed to enhance the safety monitoring of working both at ground level and at elevated heights. This novel system integrates a suite of sophisticated technologies: instance segmentation, shape classification, object tracking, a visualization report, and a real-time notification module. Collectively, these components coalesce to deliver a safety monitoring solution, ensuring a higher standard of protection for construction workers. The experimental results…..

  • The testis is an extremely heterogeneous organ, containing numerous compartments types. Morphometric studies were performed of 3 avian species (pigeon, pheasant and chicken) to determine volume density absolute volume, numerical density, total number of serminiferous tubule components, and sperm production, especially those related to the Sertoli cell, and to make comparisons among the species. Volume density of seminiferous tubule components per testis was determined by point counting method. Testis volume and sperm production were measured by routine techniques. Numerical density (the number of cells per unit volume of testis) of seminiferous tubule components per testis was determined by morphometry (Floderus method). The volume density of seminiferous tubules per testis was 91.58, 92.18 and 94.21% in pigeon, pheasant, and chicken, respectively. The volume density of spermatogonium, spermatocyte, spermatid, spermatozoon, and Sertoli cell did not produce significant changes in the three species. The absolute volume of spermatogonium, spermatocyte, spermatid, and Sertoli cell showed significant changes in the three species (p<0.05). The average volume of Sertoli cell ranged from 758.34(pheasant) to 1,212.9 ㎛$^3$(chicken) and was not significantoy different in the three species(p>0.05). The number of Sertoli cells per testis showed significant differences in the three species : 34.52 $\times$10(sup)6, 186.82$\times$10(sup)6, 810.62$\times$10(sup)6 in pigeon, pheasant, and chicken, respectively(p<0.05). The sperm production was significantly different in the three species : 3,018$\times$10(sup)6, 993.9$\times$10(sup)6, and 8.9$\times$10(sup)6 in chicken, pheasant, and pigeon, respectively(p<0.05). These results suggest that number of Sertoli cells may be more important than Sertoli cell size in explaining the difference in sperm production among the three species.

  • In open GIS environment, a GIS client can access spatial data in different types of GIS sowers with the same Interfaces. This means that open GIS components software ensures the interoperability throughout the heterogeneous GIS servers. The user response time, however, tends to be increased, if the client makes use of the standard interfaces for data accesses that can ensure interoperability. This is because the format of spatial data accessed from a specific GIS server must be transformed into common format, such as Rowset in OLE/DB, which is compatible with the standard interfaces. In this paper, we develop efficient techniques for data buffering in GIS client to reduce the response time. We design the buffer management method, which Is based on the space partitioning, and Integrate buffer management components into MapBase, an open GIS component software. And we also, show that buffer management proposed in this paper yields significant performance improvement in GIS client.

  • XML is being used to describe components and applications in a vendor and language neutral. Therefore it already has a role in distributed system. XML is also being used as a data interchange format between components and applications in loosely coupled large-scale application. Until now, policy is described for specific applications and devices. Its use has been very limited. In current network management system, we can only invoke predefined operations and actions using policy-based network management. The main motivation for the recent interests in policy-based networks is to support dynamic adaptability of behavior by changing policy without recoding or stopping system. For these reasons we present the use of the XML for describing the policy and PIB(Policy Information Base) in COPS-PR. It improves flexibility and interoperability among heterogeneous network systems. It also can add new functionality into network components. In this paper, we propose a dynamically extensible network management architecture using XML-based PIB.

  • Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD) is a heterogeneous group of inherited muscle disorders caused by the mutations of different genes encoding muscle proteins. In the past, when the molecular diagnostic techniques were not available, the subtypes of muscular dystrophies were classified by the pattern of muscle weakness and the mode of inheritance, and LGMD had been considered as a 'waste basket' of muscular dystrophy because many unrelated heterogeneous cases with 'limb-girdle' weakness were put into the category of LGMD. With the advent of molecular genetics at the end of the last century, it has been known that there are many subtypes of LGMD caused by the mutation of different genes, and now, LGMD is classified according to the results of the linkage analysis and the genes or proteins affected. Only small proportion (probably less than 10%) of LGMD is dominantly inherited, and autosomal dominant LGMD (AD-LGMD) consists of six subtypes (LGMD1A to 1F) so far. In autosomal recessive LGMD (AR-LGMD), more than 10 subtypes (LGMD2A to 2J) have been linked and most of the causative genes have been identified. Among AR-LGMDs, LGMD2A (calpain 3 deficiency), 2B (dysferlin deficiency), and sarcoglycanopathy (LGMD2C-2F) are major subtypes. The defective proteins in LGMDs are components of nuclear envelope, cytosol, sarcomere, or sarcolemma, and seem to play a different role in the pathogenesis of muscular dystrophy. It is notable that many causative genes of LGMDs are also responsible for other categories of muscular dystrophy or diseases affecting other tissue. However, by which mechanism they produce such a broad phenotypic variability is still unknown. The identification of mutation in the relevant gene is confirmative for the diagnosis, and is essential for genetic counseling and antenatal diagnosis of LGMD. Because many different genes are responsible for LGMD, differentiation of subtypes using immunohistochemistry and western blotting is the essential step toward the detection of mutation. For the effective research and medical care of the patients with muscular dystrophy in Korea, a research center with a medical facility supported by the government seems to be needed.

  • In current study, Nanocomposites are reinforced with carbon nanofiber, carbon nanotube and SiC, etc. Since the nano reinforcements have the excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical properties compared with that of existing composites, it has lately attracted considerable attention in the various areas. Cu have been widely used as signal transmission materials for electrical electronic components owing to its high electrical conductivity. However, it's size have been limited to small ones due to its poor mechanical properties. Until now, strengthening of the copper alloy was obtained either by the solid solution and precipitation hardening by adding alloy elements or the work hardening by deformation process. Adding the alloy elements lead to reduction of electrical conductivity. In this aspect, if carbon nanofiber is used as reinforcement which have outstanding mechanical strength and electric conductivity, it is possible to develope Cu matrix nanocomposite having almost no loss of electric conductivity. It is expected to be innovative in electric conducting material market. The unidirectional alignment of carbon nanofiber is the most challenging task developing the cooer matrix composites of high strength and electric conductivity. In this study, the unidirectional alignment of carbon nanofibers which is used reinforced material are controlled by drawing process and align mechanism as well as optimized drawing process parameter are verified via numerical analysis. The materials used in this study were pure copper and the nanofibers of 150nm in diameter and of 10∼20$\mu\textrm{m}$ in length. The materials have been tested and the tensile strength was 75MPa with the elongation of 44% for the copper. it is assumed that carbon nanofiber behave like porous elasto-plastic materials. Compaction test was conducted to obtain constitutive properties of carbon nanofiber Optimal parameter for drawing process was obtained by analytical and numerical analysis considering the various drawing angles, reduction areas, friction coefficient, etc. The lower drawing angles and lower reduction areas provides the less rupture of co tube is noticed during the drawing process and the better alignment of carbon nanofiber is obtained.

  • As todays's networks are typically heterogeneous and very often comprised of multi-platform, multi-vendor network components, mobile agents have been proposed as a solution to the problem of the management of increasingly heterogeneous networks. Mobile agents are no longer statically resident on managed devices for network management: in contrast, they are migratory, replaceable at any time as necessary, and may be equipped with mini expert systems which can diagnose and fix networks' faults on behalf of the manager. Therefore, in this paper, the MIB browsing facilities for network management using the JAMAS and mobile agents are implemented. That is, the network manager accesses the MIB information through mobile agents with which communicate the SNMP agent of each of managed devices. The implementation performance is also evaluated.

  • This study aims to estimate policy effects that appear heterogeneously within the beneficiary group by matching the beneficiary and non-beneficiary groups based on propensity score quartiles and analyzing the effect of policy benefits on sales growth. To achieve this, 239 SMEs that participated in R&D support program for the manufacturing of materials, components, and equipment in 2020 were selected as the beneficiary group. The propensity scores of these companies were calculated and divided into eight quartiles for matching between the non-beneficiary and beneficiary groups. Subsequently, double difference analysis was used to calculate the sales growth rate attributable to policy support. The study found that the largest policy effect was observed in the lowest quartile group, and companies with high patent application rates and 3-year sales growth rates experienced significant policy effects. These findings suggest that propensity score quartile-based analysis can be effectively utilized to refine the criteria for selecting beneficiary companies and the scope of industrial policy support.

  • Network management involves configuring and operating various network elements in a suitable manner. Generally, a network management system can perform basic functionalities such as configuration management, performance management, and fault management. Due to the open structure of the Internet, the volume of network traffic and the network equipment used have increased in size and complexity. Therefore, it is expensive and time consuming to develop a network management program for heterogeneous network equipment in an SNMP.based network. In order to facilitate the management of network environments and the control of heterogeneous devices in an efficient manner, we propose an Active Network Management System (ANMS) comprising an automatic generator that uses triggers to generate a network management program. The concept of triggers can be represented through event condition action rules performed in response to a change in the status of a network environment. The proposed ANMS comprises basic components for real time network management and also includes an automatic generator (AG). When the ANMS is monitoring network elements that are newly added or changed, a trigger rule is activated and these components are then able to collaborate and automatically generate a new network management program by using the information provided along with the SNMP libraries. Our method is useful for expanding the network structure and replacing network equipment. Through experiments, we have proved that our ANMS is useful when new network objects are added or changed in the network environment to expand the network structure. Further, we have verified that our ANMS system reduces the time and cost required to develop a network management program as compared to the manual method used in existing network management systems.

  • In the absence of a research study on meta-analysis in terms of program development, the purpose of the study is to analyze the contents of the meta-analysis research studies which has been conducted for 18 years, and is to identify the level of program component evidence for the development of social work program. In order to achieve these purposes, the study analyzed the feature and usefulness of the 110 meta-analysis studies(5,781 program evaluation studies)published from 2010 to June 2017 in major academic journals related to the areas of the social welfare, psychology, counseling and health. The major findings are as follows. The 110 meta-analysis studies tended to narrow down the scope of the population, problems, and program types, but they also included a lot of heterogeneous types. In the statistical methods, there were relatively few studies to explain the factors behind the heterogeneity of program effectiveness. In addition, researchers tended to select program components arbitrarily with bias on specific components. The important program components with the statistical validity are as follows; the age of the subjects, the severity of the problem, the expertise of the providers, and the strength and activities of the intervention, The academic meanings of the study results was discussed, and the direction of future research was presented to increase the usefulness of the metaanalysis for program development.
