  • The purpose of this study is to empirically compare statistical models for pre-service teachers' help networks. We identified similarities and differences based on the results of the binary and valued ERGM. Research questions are as follows: First, what are the similarities of factors influencing the binary/valued help network for pre-service teachers? Second, what are differences of factors influencing the binary/valued help network for pre-service teachers? We measured 42 pre-service teachers with focus on their help and friend networks, happiness, and personal characteristics. Results indicated that, first, the similar factors influencing the binary and valued help network of pre-service teachers were local dependencies (reciprocity, transitivity), similarity (major, gender), activity (early childhood education, negative emotion), popularity (early childhood education) and multiplicity (friend network). Second, the difference between factors affecting pre-service teacher's binary and valued help network was the effect of activity (physical education) and popularity (GPA, negative emotion). Based on these findings, we presented implications.

  • This paper is a theoretical attempt to analyze and understand Yeonjulmang and Yeongyeolmang, which are terms for social networks with negative and positive connotation respectively in Korean Sociology. To do that, we analyze a social network where unilateral help are reciprocated. A social network in this context is a network where the past behaviors of its members are transmitted. With the information how the members behaved before, a social norm can emerge in the network, which facilitate the indirect reciprocation of unilateral help. In this norm, an agent's helping now will be rewarded by his being helped in the future. Since the reward happens in the future, this norm may not be sustained even if it is efficient. To sustain the reciprocation of the help, a norm can evolve to punish the violation of the norm more severely. If the punishment becomes too severe, the reciprocation of the help can be sustained even if it is not efficient any more in that the cost of help exceeds the benefit. If we allow the exit of the network, members have incentive to do it as belonging to the network is not beneficial any more. Then the social network may collapse. To avoid the collapse of the network, the exclusive norm, which exclude even mutually beneficial relationship with outsiders, may emerge. This can explain the emergence of Yeonjulmang, or a closed network, which is inefficient in double senses; 1) it may sustain inefficient reciprocation of help, and 2) the mutually beneficial relationship is excluded between an insider and an outsider of the network.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest reading education plan by exploring the characteristics of peer-relationship networks of elementary school students, and grasping the effects of those characteristics on the reading competencies. Social network analysis method was used, and centrality analysis, QAP correlation and QAP multiple regression analyses were conducted to examine the relationship between peers and reading competencies. The findings show that the help relationship rather than peer characteristics and friend relationship was related to reading competencies. However, since the friend relationship has an effect on the help relationship, it is also found that the relationship between the friend and the help relationship network should be considered in order to improve the reading competencies. This network analysis results are meaningful in reading education plan in the sense that they suggest a useful guideline for the formation of members ranging from individuals, small groups, to a whole class, and for periodical activities considering situation and learning purposes such as before, during, and after reading activities.

  • The moveable ad hoc networks are untrustworthy and susceptible to any intrusion because of their wireless interaction approach. Therefore the information from these networks can be stolen very easily just by introducing the attacker nodes in the system. The straight route extent is calculated with the help of hop count metric. For this purpose, routing protocols are planned. From a number of attacks, the wormhole attack is considered to be the hazardous one. This intrusion is commenced with the help of couple attacker nodes. These nodes make a channel by placing some sensor nodes between transmitter and receiver. The accessible system regards the wormhole intrusions in the absence of intermediary sensor nodes amid target. This mechanism is significant for the areas where the route distance amid transmitter and receiver is two hops merely. This mechanism is not suitable for those scenarios where multi hops are presented amid transmitter and receiver. In the projected study, a new technique is implemented for the recognition and separation of attacker sensor nodes from the network. The wormhole intrusions are triggered with the help of these attacker nodes in the network. The projected scheme is utilized in NS2 and it is depicted by the reproduction outcomes that the projected scheme shows better performance in comparison with existing approaches.

  • Health Related issues has become a savior diseases as growing rapidly they also causing savior issues if they not cure they lead to even death. Fatal Diseases needed to be controlled at early stages to save the patient lives. The Knowledge related to the disease is also important so that it may be cure as soon as possible and also medicine for the illness is also needed to be supplied immediately so that it can be controlled. Some patients also need a continuous monitoring like aged and someone suffering to some fatal disease .IOT based monitoring system with the application of the Raspberry pi and the usage of the Local Area Network to connect the Doctors, Hospital, and Ambulance service also the pharmacy help to start the treatment of the patient effectively. Also acknowledging the doctors and hospital staff will help to save the life of the patient due to knowledge of the disease. Usage such smart and reliable technology will help to monitor the health condition of the patient at home and also connecting with the doctors through the internet will also acknowledge the doctor about the present condition of the patient. This paper presents the effective use of the smart devices and technology to overcome the disease by using such cost effective technology.

  • This study compared the structures and changes of help network between pre-service secondary teachers and pre-journalists who participated in the class related to network analysis to seek ways to activate a professional learning community. For this study, we used Exponential Random Graph Models (ERGM) based on ties as being interdependent and not conventional regression models requiring assumptions of independence between observations. The analysis subjects were 43 pre-service secondary teachers and 29 pre-journalists who responded both early and late in the help network survey. The main results were as follows. First, full models with network structural terms were better than simple models with no structural terms. Second, the effect of transitivity was not statistically significant in the pre-service secondary teachers' network. However, it was statistically significant in the pre-journalists' network. Third, there were effects of reciprocity, indegree popularity, and outdegree activity in the early help network of pre-service secondary teachers. On the contrary, there were only the positive effects of reciprocity and the negative effect of outdegree activity in the late network. Finally, this study demonstrated the possibility in educational fields' application of network structural effects and provided limitations and directions for future research.

  • IPv6 enables stateless address configuration of hosts. Using this technique, a host in an IPv6 network can configure its address automatically with the help of a router. This eliminates the need for a server to manage the address dispatching state in conventional IPv4 networks. In this paper, we present a stateless configuration technique for routers. By expanding IPv6 stateless address configuration, a router can configure its network with the help of an upper level router, enabling a hierarchical, router-to-router network automatic configuration

  • This study examines online social media diffusion across different countries that will help to provide a picture of current global online social network services (SNSs). Analyzing country-level data drawn from 78 nations, we find that non-technological factors such as culture and language as well as technological factors including Internet penetration rate and smartphone adoption rate have significant effects on online social media diffusion. These findings, derived from a broad range of different countries, not only provide theoretical insights into understanding critical factors that enable successful global expansion of online social media services but also help practitioners plan their marketing strategies more effectively in a global context.

  • This study investigated how different relationships the family has with its social networks by social class. Among research families' primary social networks, the wife's relatives are the most, the neighbor the second, the husband's relative the third, and the church (or other religious groups) the fourth. Social class does not make any difference in what social network is the family's primary social network. When the husband or the wife participates in a social network, he or she tends to participate alone without his or her spouse. When the husband's educational level is high, the wife tends to participate in her alumni association alone. When the husband is in a professional or a white-collar occupation, he is likely to socialize with his work associates alone. On the contrary, when the family income gets high, the husband tends to bring his wife to his alumni association. When looking for a job, most husbands and wives do not resort to a social network for help. Lower-class people are more likely to obtain jobs through their social networks compared to higher-class people. That is, the lower one's educational levle, one's occupational status, or the family income is, the more likely one gets help from some social networks in searching jobs.
