자기효능감 및 교실맥락, 도움회피 태도가 초등학생의 도움요청 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Students' Self Efficacy, Classroom Contextual Characteristics and Help-avoidance Attitudes on Academic Help-seeking Behavior)

  • This study explored the effects of self efficacy, classroom contextual characteristics and help-avoidance attitudes on academic help-seeking behavior. Participants were 210 4th grade students. Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis through the SPSSWIN 12.0. Results showed that students' self efficacy, perception of teacher behavior and goal orientations were positively related to help-seeking behaviors. Help-avoidance attitudes were negatively related to help-seeking behaviors. Cognitive efficacy and social-emotional efficacy facilitated help-seeking behaviors. Help-seeking behaviors were influenced by teacher's supportive help and expectation. Mastery goal orientations and performance-approach goal orientations promoted help-seeking behaviors but performance-avoidance goal orientations impeded help-seeking behaviors. Autonomous intention attitudes expedited help-seeking behaviors but intention based on ability diminished help-seeking behaviors.

  • The purpose of this ethnography is to describe and analyze the employment and substitutional use of daily help for the household work. Ten housewives and one educator of daily help from Gwangju City were interviewed with an unstructured questionnaire. They experience many difficulties from this daily help employment and use, even though they gain some basic help from their service. The diversity of the routes to seek out this daily help means that there is no proper route. And the daily help's sudden quit causes many realistic and psychological problems. Frequent disagreement between the user's demand and help's implement comes from communication failure. Three different management patterns of daily help were issued ; 'conservative-dominant', 'rational-mandatory', 'powerless-dependent'.

HELP 모형과 SWAT 모형의 지하수 함양량 비교 (Comparison of Groundwater Recharge between HELP Model and SWAT Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 SWAT 모형과 HELP 모형을 이용하여 보청천 유역의 지하수 함양량을 산정하였다. SWAT 모형은 지표수 및 지하수 성분을 모두 고려할 수 있는 물순환 모형이지만, 토양층에 대한 침루과정의 물리적 해석이 미흡하다. 반면에 HELP 모형은 중간유출 및 지하수 유출성분을 모의하지 못하지만, 토양층에서의 비포화흐름을 고려하여 침루과정을 해석할 수 있다. 국내유역에서 함양량 산정을 위해 SWAT 모형은 여러 유역에서 성공적으로 적용되어 왔지만, HELP 모형의 국내유역에 대한 적용은 매우 미흡하였다. HELP 모형의 적용을 위하여 중간유출계수를 제안하였고, 수정된 지수형감쇠 가중함수를 이용하여 지하수 함양량을 산정하였다. HELP 모형의 함양량은 중간유출계수 값에 따라서 많은 차이를 나타내었다. 중간유출계수 값이 0.6인 경우에 HELP 모형과 SWAT 모형사이의 함양량 오차가 가장 작았으며 일, 월, 연단위 등 다양한 시간규모에 대하여 두 모형사이의 함양량은 비교적 잘 일치하였다. HELP 모형은 SWAT모형에 비하여 모형구조가 비교적 간단하고 입력변수가 적게 요구되므로 지하수 함양량 산정에 유용하게 적용될 수 있으며, SWAT 모형과 HELP 모형을 병행하여 적용하면 지하수 함양량 산정의 신뢰도가 향상될 것으로 판단된다.

교실목표 및 수업환경 지각과 도움요청 행동의 관계 (Teachers' Goal Orientation and Support for Seeking Help as Predictors of Academic Help-Seeking Behaviors)

  • The present study examined the relation between academic help-seeking behaviors and classroom context based on students' perceptions of various classroom goals stressed by their teachers and their perceived teacher support for seeking help. The 305 subjects were 5th grade students(162 boys and 143 girls) of an elementary school in Gwangyang. The students completed a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by $2{\times}2$ ANOVA. Results showed that students' help-seeking behaviors were influenced by their teachers' goal orientation and perceived teacher support for seeking help. The results of this study suggest that perceived teacher support for seeking help may be expecially important for some students who could use instrumental help to continue task engagement, and teachers' learning-focused goal orientation is an important variable of instrumental help-seeking behavior.

골관절염 여성에게 적용한 타이치 운동과 자조관리 프로그램의 관절염증상 및 낙상공포감에 대한 효과비교 (Effects of Tai Chi combined with Self-help Program on Arthritic Symptoms and Fear of Falling in Women with Osteoarthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare the effects of the Tai Chi self-help program with a self-help program on pain, stiffness, physical functioning, and fear of falling in women with osteoarthritis. Method: Total of 82 women with Osteoarthritis recruited from outpatient clinics or community health centers were randomly assigned either to a Tai Chi self-help group or a self-help group. Thirty subjects in the Tai Chi self-help group and 39 in the self-help group completed posttest measures(pain, stiffness, physical functioning, and fear of falling) at 6 months. Results: After the 6 month study period, the subjects in the Tai Chi self-help group reported significantly less difficulties in performing daily activities(mean difference=-0.16 vs. 6.19 for the self-help), and less fear of falling(mean difference=-3.20 vs. 0.27 for the self-help) than those in the self-help group. There were no significantly differences in pain and stiffness between the groups. Conclusion: The Tai Chi combined with self-help program was more effective than the self-help only program in reducing difficulties in performing daily activities and fear of falling in women with Osteoarthritis. Whether these changes prevent fall episodes requires further study.

Give a Man a Fish or Teach Him to Fish: The Effects of Types of Help on Customer Satisfaction

  • People receive support from others to solve problems that are difficult to solve on their own. During service encounters, customers also receive help from other customers. Inter-customer helping is a type of Customer Citizenship Behavior (CCB), which has become more prevalent with increased use of self-service technologies (SSTs). However, not all helps are created equal. The current research investigates the effects of the two types of help, autonomy- and dependency-oriented help during service encounters. Autonomy-oriented help refers to a partial hint to the problem, whereas dependency-oriented help refers to the full solution to the problem. Through experimental studies, we provide evidence that depending on the types of help received during service encounters, customers show different levels of satisfaction toward the firm. The results from Studies 1A and 1B show that autonomy- (vs. dependency-) oriented help leads to higher customer satisfaction. In addition, the current research demonstrates the mechanism for such effect. The results from Study 2 show that the relationship between the types of help and customer satisfaction is mediated by instrumentality and anxiety, which represent cognitive and affective paths respectively.

  • Help-Desk 서비스는 도서관 현장에서 사서가 이용자와 직접 대면하는 서비스로 이용자가 도서관을 이용할 때 일어나는 커뮤니케이션이다. 이는 최초의 지식관리활동이다. 이용자의 요구에 따라다양하게 제공되고 발생되는 Help-Desk 서비스는 이용자 질문-해답서비스, 이용자 교육서비스, 참고정보서비스, 전자우편서비스, 전자게시판, 개인정보관리, SDI, 공개자료, 교수연구지원서비스 등이다. 이 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 Help-Desk 서비스 실태를 조사·분석하여 사서와 이용자 사의의 바람직한 지식관리유형으로서 Help-Desk 지식관리를 제시하고자한다.

  • 지식사회에서 주요자원은 지식이 되며 이러한 지식을 관리하는 도서관의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 기하급수적으로 증가하는 지식정보들 중 조직구성원들이 필요하고 유용한 지식만을 선택하여 이용자의 취향에 맞는 형태로 제공할 수 있는 지식정보관리가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 기존의 도서관 정보봉사에서 나타나는 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 도서관이 수행해야 할 역할 및 기능들을 Help-Desk 서비스 측면에서 온라인과 오프라인으로 구성요인들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 웹기반 Help-Desk 지식관리 시스템 모형을 제시하였다.

미국 공공도서관 과제지원서비스의 의의와 현황 (The Significance and Practice of Homework Help Services in U. S. Public Libraries)

  • 본 연구는 미국의 공공도서관 과제지원서비스가 지역사회 청소년을 지원하는 도서관 프로그램으로서 갖는 의의를 고찰하고, 공공도서관 과제지원서비스의 운영 현황과 특성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 문헌조사를 통해 미국 공공도서관 과제지원서비스의 사례와 동향을 살펴보고, 과제지원서비스를 제공하는 공공도서관을 대상으로 이메일 설문조사를 실시하여 과제지원서비스의 운영 현황 및 전반적인 특성을 조사 분석하였다. 본 조사에 참여한 도서관을 대상으로 이용자, 장서, 공간, 홍보 및 인적 자원의 측면에서 과제지원서비스의 현황과 특성을 분석하였다. 공공도서관 과제지원서비스의 운영 현황 및 특성에 대한 분석 결과는 과제지원센터의 계획 및 도입에 있어 서비스 방향 도출을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다.

관절염 환자의 자조관리과정 강사지원자의 지식 및 태도 분석 (Analysis of Knowledge and Attitude of Applicants of Trainers for Self-help Program of Arthritis Patients)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the knowledge and attitude of applicants on self-help teacher's program for arthritis patients. Subjects of the study constituted 407 applicants who attended the self-help teacher's program for arthritis patients. Self report questionnaires were used to measure the knowledge about arthritis and the attitude toward self-help education. In data analysis, SPSS PC 9.0 Program was utilized for descriptive statistics and one-way anova analysis. The results were as follows : Average age of the participants were 37, while 62% married, 62% had 4-year or above education, and 32.7% had experience of community health nursing. The mean score of knowledge about arthritis was 17.99/28 ; the mean score of applicants' appraisal on the arthritis patients' ability of self-help was 31.66/40 ; the mean score of applicants' attitude toward self-help education for arthritis patients was 35.64/56. According to regions of education for applicants' self-help program, there were not significant differences in applicants' knowledge and appraisal and attitude on self-help program.
