The noise between floors of apartment has been hot issue nowadays. In order to improve the noise insulation performance, we proposed the antivibration rubber system which can be applied to the floor system for sound insulation. Among various types of elastomer, butyl rubber showed the good aging characteristic, low rebound resilience and high damping factor. Thus, the butyl rubber was selected as a basic rubber for antivibration rubber system. The effects of type and loading amounts of carbon black on antivibration properties of butyl rubber were studied. The increase of surface area and the content of carbon black resulted in high bound rubber fraction, high mechanical property, low rebound resilience, and high damping factor of butyl rubber. Based on the results of this study, the new antivibration rubber was prepared and applied to the floor system for sound insulation. The impact sounds of floor system proposed in this study were 40 dB and 43 dB in cases of light weight and heavy weight impact sound, respectively.

Damping materials encompass a broad range of materials, including, but not limits to, pressure sensitive adhesives, epoxies, rubbers, foams, thermoplastics, enamels and mastics. Their common characteristic is that their modulus is represented by a complex quantity, possessing both a stored and dissipative energy component. Loss factor of damping material analyzed more than 2 times than rubber to 1.5 $\sim$ 2.3, could know that Damping layer has excellent attenuation performance in side of vibration reduction. Measurements of vibration using accelerometers by adhesion of Damping layer, square Plate by Separation of Damping layer is less binding of Damping layer, analyzed low loss factor and Natural Frequency by free Vibration of Square Plate.
To date, research on heavy floor impact noise has mainly been conducted. The reason is that in the case of lightweight floor impact noise, sufficient performance could be secured with only the floating floor structure and floor finishing materials. In the case of heavy floor impact noise in a floating floor structure, the reduction performance can be predicted to some extent by measuring the dynamic elasticity of the floor cushioning material. However, with the recent introduction of the post-measurement system, various floor structures are being developed. In particular, many non-floating floor structures that do not use cushioning materials are being developed. In floor structures where cushioning materials are not used, the finishing material will have a significant impact on lightweight floor impact noise. However, research on floor finishing materials is currently lacking. In this study, as a basic research on the development of various floor finishing materials for effective reduction of lightweight floor impact noise, various materials used as floor finishing materials for apartment complexes were selected, the sound insulation performance of lightweight floor impact noise was measured in an actual laboratory, and vibration characteristics were identified through simple experiments. The purpose was to confirm the predictability of light floor impact noise.
The government is enacted "Housing Performance Grading Indication System" from qualitative housing supply policy and performance of housing under the background of looking for new plan to secure good housing stock and housing performance. This system consists of 5 main performance section, 14 performance categories and 20 detailed performance items. 5 main performance parts are sound insulation related grading(Light-weight impact sound insulation, heavy-weight floor impact sound insulation, noise emission in bathroom, airborne sound insulation for wall between units), Long-life housing related grading(flexibility, remodeling & maintenance, durability), environment related grading(landscape, indoor air quality and ventilation, energy performance), Living environment related grading(common resident facilities such as playground and consideration for the socially underprivileged such as the aged), Fire fire prevention grading(fire fire prevention). The purpose of this research is to analyze characteristics and assessment results of 20 detailed performance items on "Housing Performance Grading Indication System" which was enforced 240 cases from Jan 9th, 2006 to Sep 30th, 2010. The analysis of approval condition of detailed performance items will be important comments for understanding the current domestic level and development of technology.

This study attempts to identify the ways of reducing the floor impact sound, by applying six different types of the reinforced bar girders and stirrup arrangements to the Structure: (1) the longer-direction girder arrangements (2) the shorter-direction girder arrangements (3) the diagonal-direction arrangements (4) the longer-direction girder arrangements with stirrups (5) the shorter-direction girder arrangements with stirrups (6) the diagonal-direction arrangements with stirrups. In order to identify the most effective structural changes, each slab was tested with bang machines, measuring the level of the sound impact. The results showed that the longer-direction girder arrangements with stirrups were the most effective one. In addition, the effectiveness of slab was found to be remarkable, showing the level of minimum 1dB to maximum 5dB, where the slab was compared with the control models without girders and stirrups. In conclusion, it is suggested that the longer-direction girder arrangements with stirrups could possibly be applied to the Wall Structures to minimize the floor impact sound.
Measurement of impact sound insulation of floor, by current Korean Standard KS F 2810-2. is to be made with peak levels over 4 point in a receiving room. But it is often the case that there is inconsistency in results at various receiving points in the receiving room. Such variations obviously have effects on the repeatability and reproducibility of measured data. The result shows that there are even 10 dB deviations in 63Hz octave band frequency range and relatively less variations are occurred in other low frequency ranges. Such variations seems to be coming from modal overlaps of the receiving room. According to current rating method of floor impact sound. KS F 2863-2, that may affect on the single number latins scheme. From the result of tests in this study, there are 2dB to 6dB differences in the sin91e number with the combination of measurement points. This means that the reduction of measurement variations from the microphone positions is needed for a better credibility of measurement results.

Recently, the research and discussion to set up the evaluation standard for nor impact noises in multistory residential buildings has been vividly carried out In Korea. Therefore, the correlation between the methods and auditory responses was investigated through this research to investigate the applicability of the L index evaluation method and the reverse A characteristics evaluation method that are listed in JIS A 1419 since Japanese circumstance are similar to Korean after evaluating the duality of Korean multistory residential buildings. As a result, it was found that the correlation between the value resulted from L index evaluation and the value from reverse A characteristics evaluation is high. In addition, it was also revealed that human responses to each Impacter was similar. Consequently, it is considered th:31 the tendency about the two methods would be similar.

Notification 2013-611 of MOLIT has come into effect. It relates primarily to new standard impact source. In this study, an in-depth experimental analysis of the difference between a bang machine and an impact ball was performed via field testing of shear wall and flat plate structure at 51 sites. This paper focuses on the difference in single number quantities between a bang machine and an impact ball. At wall thicknesses of 180 and 210 mm in shear wall structure, the single number quantities exhibited differences of 3.1 and 4.5 dB, respectively, and at thicknesses exceeding 250 mm in flat plate structure, the difference was constant at 4.6 dB. With regard to flat plate structures, the single-index difference increased up to 11 dB as the thickness of the floor slab increased. In general, the highest level of contribution for the bang machine was 63 Hz, irrespective of thickness determining bandwidth. The highest level for the impact ball were 63 Hz and 125 Hz. In future research, when reviewing additional field performance measurement data, it will be necessary to consider a detailed examination instead of the current method of uniformly adding 3 dB for all thicknesses and types of structures.
With the introduction of the post-verification system, the measurement of floor impact noise performance on-site has become mandatory, and the evaluation method has changed. To track the performance changes since the policy implementation, research is needed on how the characteristics of heavyweight impact sound change according to the varied evaluation method. In this study, we analyzed the contribution rate of the frequency band-specific sound pressure level on the single-number quantity for a multi-family housing unit with the same floor plan and floor structure, comprising 59 households, based on the changed impact sources and evaluation indicators. It is difficult to compare simply because the method of calculating contributions by frequency band according to the single-day evaluation is different, but the average contribution rate of 63 Hz was 80.8 % in the evaluation method before the introduction of the post-confirmation system (Tire measurement and evaluated as L'i,Fmax,AW), and the average contribution rate of 125 Hz was 19.2 %. The current evaluation method (rubber ball measurement and evaluation as L'iA,Fmax) shows that the contribution rate has decreased to 33.1 % on average at 50 Hz ~ 80 Hz, 58.7 % on average at 100 Hz ~ 160 Hz, 6.9 % on average at 200 Hz ~ 315 Hz, and 1.3 % on average at 400 Hz ~ 630 Hz. This result is a case analysis for the target apartment house, and it is necessary to analyze measurement data for more diverse apartment houses.
Most of receiving rooms for the measurement of floor impact sound have rectangular shapes with couple of meters of dimension, with reflective finishing, no furniture, no curtains. Modal overlaps in those condition are the major reason for the low reproducibility, and as a matter of course, the low credibility. It is the major purpose of this study that searching for a better measurement method which mitigate the effect of modal overlap on measurement. Two ways of methods are tested. One is the way described in ISO standards which enables controlling the room modes of receiving rooms, the other is the way which enables to get more precise spatial averages in receiving rooms with room modes. It is not easy maintaining the reverberation time of low frequency bands in the range between 1s and 2s, though it is proven to be effective controlling the room modes with base traps. Space-time average SPL's through combinations of rotating microphones are easy to measure, and have good consistencies with average SPL of entire receiving room.
