As an effective methods of plasma heating, neutral beam injection (NBI) systems based on negative hydrogen ion sources will be utilized in future magnetic-confinement nuclear fusion experiments. Because of the collisions between the fast negative ions and the neutral background gas, the positive ions are inevitable created in the acceleration region in the negative NBI system. These positive ions are accelerated back into the ion source and become high energy backstreaming ions. In order to explore the characters of backstreaming ions, the track and power deposition of backstreaming H+ beam is estimated using the experimental and simulation methods at NNBI test facility. Results show that the flux of backstreaming positive ions is 1.93 % of that of negative ion extraction from ion source, and the magnet filed in the beam source has an effect on the backstreaming positive ions propagation.

Tc-99m labeled sestamibi ($^{99m}Tc$-MIBI) is one of most widely used radiopharmaceuticals for myocardial SPECT imaging. Radiolabeling of $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI is recommended by heating in $100^{\circ}C$ water bath for 15 min. However, the water bath might be a source of contamination. Thus, if radiolabeling of $^{99m}Tc$-sestamibi can be performed at room temperature, then it would be more convenient to use in clinical application. In this study, we performed the radiolabeling of $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI in different temperature conditions or using different instruments to find out the efficient labeling condition. We studied the $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI labeling at room temperature or $100^{\circ}C$ heating block, and checked the labelling yields every 1 min for 10 min using radio-TLC with 2 different eluents-saline and acetone. From the experiment, we confirmed that the $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI can be labeled over 90% yield but not completed at room temperature. However, the $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI labeling was completed when it was performed in the $100^{\circ}C$ heating block. Finally, we proved that heating is essential for complete $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI labelling, furthermore using heating block is also possible instead of water bath.

Heat pumps come into wide use because high energy efficiency can be obtained and diverse heat sources like geothermal heat, waste heat and air are available. It is necessary for an air source heat pump to defrost in order to remove frost on the surfaces of an outdoor heat exchanger. It is impossible for continuous heating if reverse cycle operation is used as defrosting method, furthermore it causes the degradation of COP. In this study an fin-tube heat exchanger with three rows was used as an outdoor coil. One row among three rows of the heat exchanger was used like a condenser in order to remove frost on it, the others were used as evaporator to accomplish continuous heating. Each row was switched in order from a condenser to an evaporator in specified time interval. Tests were carried out during minimum 180 minutes at the defrost-heating test condition(dry bulb temperature $2^{\circ}C$, wet bulb temperature $1^{\circ}C$) described in KS C 9306. Time-averaged COP was about 20% higher than that of conventional defrosting method.
First, the base model of multi-family residential buildings are selected, and then the $CO_2$ reduction building technologies that are applicable for multi-family residential buildings are induced by analyzing the examples and then an optimal plan for when the $CO_2$ reduction building technologies can be integrated and applied to the base model was formulated. In the results of converting the energy consumption and reduction amount from the building technologies into $CO_2$ emissions to analyze the distribution ratio compared to the entire $CO_2$ emissions; the heat recovery ventilator is 0.5%, the photovoltaic system is $1.9%{\sim}5.9%$, the solar hot water heating system is $6.3%{\sim}13.1%$ and the ge thermal heat-pump system is 39.0% when both heating and hot water heating are applied. An optimally integrated application method for the building technologies is in charge of heating and hot water heating through the geothermal source heat pump system and in charge of the electricity load through the photovoltaic system(45.2%).
Recently, various researches for the improvement of Han-ok performance carried out. But, most of them are tend to come from the viewpoint of suppliers rather than that of Han-ok habitants. It means that environmental elements which real habitants feel are not reflected in the design of initial Han-ok design. Therefore, it is necessary that many researchers should analyze the degree of dwelling satisfaction derived from real life. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find the avaliable factors that need to be considered in the process of initial Han-ok design and construction through the analysis on the living performance satisfaction ratio of modern New Han-ok's habitants. Method: To achieve this goal, surveys were carried out in 83 Han-oks which actual habitants were living, located in 14 happy villages Jeonnam province. Following are survey items about residential environmental conditions; kinds of wall material, gap(connection joint between wall and wood columns) reinforcement or not, kinds of window, kinds of facilities around windows, kinds of heating source, heating types(single, multiple), financial burdens, selective heating or not and so on. Result: The results of this study may be used to improve the living performance satisfaction ratio of new Han-ok habitants and as a basis for the specifying the desired thermal comfort environment of dwelling.
In this study, heating performance of the air-cooled heat pump with vapor-injection (VI) cycles, re-heater and solar heat storage tank was investigated experimentally. Devices used in the experiment were comprised of a VI compressor, re-heater, economizer, variable evaporator, flat-plate solar collector for hot water, thermal storage tank, etc. As working fluid, refrigerant R410A for heat pump and propylene glycol (PG) for solar collector were used. In this experiment, heating performance was compared by three cycles, A, B and C. In case of Cycle B, heat exchange was conducted between VI suction refrigerant and inlet refrigerant of condenser by re-heater (Re-heater in Fig. 3, No. 3) (Cycle B), and Cycle A was not use re-heater on the same operating conditions. In case of Cycle C, outlet refrigerant from evaporator go to thermal storage tank for getting a thermal energy from solar thermal storage tank while re-heater also used. As a result, Cycle C reached the target temperature of water in a shorter time than Cycle B and Cycle A. In addition, it was founded that, as for the coefficient of heating performance($COP_h$), the performance in Cycle C was improved by 13.6% higher than the performance of Cycle B shown the average $COP_h$ of 3.0 and by 18.9% higher than the performance of Cycle A shown the average $COP_h$ of 2.86. From this results, It was confirmed that the performance of heat pump system with refrigerant re-heater and VI cycle can be improved by applying solar thermal energy as an auxiliary heat source.
This study performs several experiments on a newly developed temperature safety system that can be used for residential building heating systems, the heat source of which is derived from a conventional fuel cell. Prior to this, the hot water made from a fuel cell was not used in residential housing but just went to waste. The present safety system is installed in the current underfloor heating system. At first we used the CFD technique to develop a new heat exchanger. The fuel cell must satisfy the thermal conditions of the inlet temperature being $55^{\circ}C$ and the outlet temperature being $60^{\circ}C$. But variations in weather cause fluctuations in the heating water temperature. The experimental results show our new system capable of maintaining the temperature difference within a ${\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$ range. So we believe that our new PFMFC fuel cell stack array is a good candidate for being used in residential heating systems.

Using positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heater as supplementary heating for diesel engine vehicles with low heat source is a good method to enhance the heating performance during cold start. In this study, the PTC elements were made by using screen printing process for forming ohmic contact layer, and prototype of PTC heater was designed and made for a diesel engine vehicle. In process of designing the PTC heater, the thermal flow analysis of PTC element modules was conducted for verifying the effect of the shapes of contact surface between each of the components (cooling fin, insulator, ceramic element). We also investigated the performance characteristic (heating capacity, energy efficiency, pressure drop) of the PTC heater through the experiments. Therefore, the experimental results indicated that prototype of PTC heater had satisfactory performance. This study will be basis for improving the manufacturing process and increasing the performance of the PTC element and heater.

In recent, there are many studies associated with energy piles to save initial construction cost for ground source heat pump system. In this study, to evaluate geothermal exchange rates two types (a connection type and a slinky type) of cast-in-place energy piles (PRD, 4.5m in depth, 1,200 mm in diameter) were constructed for the tests and their efficiencies were compared with numerical analysis results. As a result, starting with operation, geothermal exchange rate gradually decreases due to exchange of lower ground temperature. In the case of connection type, temperature difference is $0.37^{\circ}C$ in heating mode and $0.34^{\circ}C$, in cooling mode, respectively. In addition, in case of a connection type, geothermal exchange rate in heating mode is 2,314W/m and in cooling mode, 252.2W/m whose value is 9% higher than in heating mode. In the case of slinky type, the average geothermal exchange rate in heating mode is 168.0W/m, which is about 27% lower than that of connection type.
In order to find out impact insulation properties, various types of current radiant floor heating systems and light-framed floors that are used in light-framed residential buildings were evaluated for two types of impact sources at the same time. Sound Pressure Level (SPL) was different from each impact sources for those spectrum patterns and peaks. In case of light-framed floor framework, the excitation position and the assumed effective vibrating area have effects on sound pressure level but it is not considerable, and Normalized SPL was reduced for each frequency by increasing the bending rigidity of joist. The mortar layer in the radiant heating system had relatively high density and high impedance, therefore, it distributed much of the impact power when it was excited, and reduced the Normalized SPL considerably. Nevertheless, Increasing a thickness of mortar layer had little influence on SPL. Ceiling components reduced the sound pressure level about 5~25 dB for each frequency. Namely, it had excellent sound insulation properties in a range from 200 to 4,000 Hz frequency for both heavy and lightweight impact sources. Also, there was a somewhat regular sound insulation pattern for each center frequency. The resilient channel reduced the SPL about 2~11 dB, irrelevant to impact source. Consequently, current radiant floor heating systems which were established in light-framed residential buildings have quite good impact sound insulation properties for both impact sources.
