질화규소에 의한 SiC 소결체의 제조에 관한 연구 (Febrication of $Si_3-N_4$ Bonded SiC Ceramics)

  • It is know that $Si_3-N_4$ bonded SiC has almost all the valuable properties needed for the high temperature material and thus has bery wide range of applicability. Si powder and two different sized SiC powder were used as the raw mateials. Specimens were prepared by heating the green compact mode of the raw materials with polyvinyl alcohol binder in the nitrogen atmosphere. The bond-ing of SiC particles is brought about with the formation of reaction bonded silicon nitride phase between the particles he influences of the variation of the relative amounts of the raw materials and the amount of the organic binder on the density and the bend strength of the specimens were investigated. It was shown that the calculation of the amount of the nitridation of Si is somewhat complicated matter since some portion of the organic binder reacts with the Si during the firing process. Fixing the Si amount to 20w/o the distributions of the size of the SiC particles that gives the maximum density and the maximum strnegth were obtained through experiments. It was observed that the two distributions were not equal to each other. As the amount of Si increased the amount of Si reacted with nitrogen and the strength increased. The fracture mode was intergranular for the most part and the transgranular fracture was scarcely observed.

  • Currently, the most important purpose in designing automobile is environment-friendly and safety performance aspect. CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) of the advanced composite materials as structure materials for vehicles, has a wide application in lightweight structural materials of air planes, ships and automobiles because of high strength and stiffness. In this study, experimental investigations are carried out for CFRP single and double hat shaped section member in order to study the effect of various stacking condition. They were cured by heating to the appropriate curing temperature($130^{\circ}C$) by means of a heater at the vacuum bag of the autoclave. The stacking conditions were selected to investigate the effect of the interface numbers. The CFRP single and double hat shaped section members which manufactured from unidirectional prepreg sheets were made of 8ply. The static collapse tests performed and the collapse mode and energy absorption capability were analyzed according to interface number.

단일 전력단 능동 클램프형 고주파 공진 인버터의 특성 평가 (Characteristic Estimation of Single-Stage Active-Clamp Type High Frequency Resonant Inverter)

  • This paper presents a novel single-stage active-clamp type high frequency resonant inverter. The proposed topology is integrated full-bridge boost rectifier as power factor corrector and active-clamp type high frequency resonant inverter into a single-stage. The input stage of the full-bridge boost rectifier works in discontinuous conduction mode(DCM) with constant duty cycle and variable switching frequency. So that a boost converter makes the line current follow naturally the sinusoidal line voltage waveform. By adding additional active-clamp circuit to conventional class-E high frequency resonant inverter, main switch of inverter part operates not only at Zero-Voltage-Switching mode but also reduces the switching voltage stress of main switch. Simulation results have demonstrated the feasibility of the proposed high frequency resonant inverter. Characteristics values based on characteristics estimation through circuit analysis is given as basis data in design procedure. Also, experimental results are presented to verify theoretical discussion. This proposed inverter will be able to be practically used as a power supply in the fields of induction heating applications, fluorescent lamp and DC-DC converter etc.

온도변화에 따른 Si의 비선형 광학적 성질 (Optical Nonlinearity in Laser Heated Si)

  • 레이저로 가열된 두께 160$\mu\textrm{m}$의 얇은 Si의 비선형 광학적 성질을 들띄움-탐사방법(pump-probe method)으로 조사하였다. 펄스폭은 180$\mu$sec이고 $TEM_{00}$-mode의 맥동형 Nd-YAG 레이저로 Si을 가열하였고, 발생하는 온도증가는 Si의 band gap 근처의 파장을 갖는 탐사광의 투과도변화를 관찰하여 측정하였다. Si의 온도상승은 입사된 레이저 광도에 비례함을 알 수 있었고, 실험상 최대 광대 25KW/$\textrm{cm}^2$의 레이저 빛살입사에 의해 $16^{\circ}C$의 온도상승을 관찰하였다. 이 결과로부터 Nd:YAG 레이저 파장에서의 온도변화에 따른 Sㅑ의 3차 비선형 광학계수 $\chi{(3)}$$6.6\times10^{-5}$로 산출되었다.

공랭식 변유량 냉매 냉동기를 적용한 수조 온도의 정밀 제어 (Precision Control of Water Bath Temperature using Air Cooled Variable Refrigerant Flow Chiller)

  • This study compared constant water bath performances of conventional water-cooled refrigerator and electric heater with an air-cooled VRF chiller and electric heater equipped with optimal control algorithm. In heating mode, the air cooled VRF chiller and electric heater combination reduced the set temperature arrival time by an average of 42 minutes, and energy was also reduced by 18%. In cooling mode, the two systems took 70 minutes to reach the set temperature and showed no difference. Energy was reduced by 33.5% with the new system. For constant temperature maintaining experiment, after reaching the set temperature of $15^{\circ}C$, $20^{\circ}C$ and $22^{\circ}C$, temperature deviations were all in the range of $-0.2^{\circ}C$ to $+0.1^{\circ}C$. Energy was reduced by an average of 84.9%. Through this study, possibility of precise temperature control by an air cooled VRF chiller system was confirmed.

다중 모드 공동기 내의 전계 분포 균일성 향상을 위한 슬롯 도파관 급전기 설계 및 제작 (Design and Realization of a Slotted Waveguide Feeder for Improving Electric Field Uniformity in Multi-Mode Cavity)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로파 가열 시스템에서 가열을 위한 반응기로 사용되는 다중 모드 공동기 내부의 전계 분포를 균일하게 형성시키기 위한 슬롯 도파관 급전기를 설계, 제작하였다. 기존의 급전기 경우에는 다중 모드 공동기 내부의 전계를 균일하게 해주기 위해 모드 스터러나 턴테이블과 같은 추가적인 부품을 공동기 내부에 설치해 사용하였다. 제안된 슬롯 도파관 급전기는 자체적으로 균일한 방사를 갖도록 구형 도파관의 넓은 면에 4개의 슬롯이 있고 양쪽의 개구면이 단락된 구조를 특징으로 한다. 제안된 급전기가 장착된 다중 모드 공동기 내부의 전계 분포는 CST사의 MWS(Microwave Studio)를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 하였고, 기존의 급전기를 장착한 경우보다 더 균일한 전계 분포 특성을 보임을 확인하였다. 제작된 급전기는 사용 주파수 2.45 GHz에서 -20 dB 이하의 반사 손실을 보였다. 우리 제안의 타당성을 검증하기 위해, 공동기 내에 물 시료들을 배치해 일정시간 가열시켜 가열 전후의 온도 변화를 관찰하였다. 온도 변화는 공동기에 기존 급전기를 장착한 경우, 중앙과 가장 자리에 있는 시료들 사이에 약 $3.5^{\circ}C$, 제안된 급전기를 장착한 경우에는 약 $0.7^{\circ}C$의 차이를 보였다. 이를 통해, 제안된 급전기가 기존의 급전기보다 다중 모드 공동기 내의 전계 분포 균일성 향상에 기여함을 확인하였다.

  • 보호용 NMOS 소자 또는 lvtr_thyristor 소자를 사용하는 고주파 CMOS IC용 입력 ESD 보호회로 방식을 대상으로, 2차원 소자 시뮬레이터를 이용하는 DC 해석, 혼합모드 과도해석 및 AC 해석을 통해 보호용 소자내 격자온도 상승 및 입력버퍼단의 게이트 산화막 인가전압 측면에서의 HBM ESD 보호강도에 대한 심도 있는 비교 분석을 시도한다. 이를 위해, 입력 ESD 보호회로가 장착된 CMOS 칩의 입력 HBM 테스트 상황에 대한 등가회로 모델링 방법을 제시하고, 5가지 HBM 테스트 모드에 대해 최대 4개의 보호용 소자를 포함하는 혼합모드 과도 시뮬레이션을 시행하고 그 결과를 분석함으로써 실제 HBM 테스트에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점들에 대한 상세한 분석을 시도한다. 이러한 과정을 통해 고주파용 입력 보호회로로서의 두 가지 보호방식의 장단점에 대해 설명하는 한편, 각 보호용 소자의 설계와 관련되는 기준을 제시한다.

  • Compared to Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning Systems, Radiant Cooling Systems have the advantage of energy saving and thermal comfort. Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) is one of the radiant heating and cooling systems. The main difference between TABS and other radiant systems lies in the usage of the time-lag effect of storing heat energy in the concrete. Current energy usage in summer time is concentrated within a specific time by using Packaged Terminal Air-Conditioner (PTAC). Due to the time-lag effect of TABS, energy usage can be distributed to other time zones. To maximize this effect, it is important to determine the appropriate operating mode, which for TABS is dependent upon the cooling load generated by the occupancy schedule. In this study, occupancy schedules are determined for various residential types. The operating modes of TABS for these residential types are estimated by using a dynamic computational simulation method. The results indicate that the operating modes of TABS can be determined by residential type and occupancy schedule. The load handled ratio by TABS is set up differently according to the cooling load profile obtained from residential type and occupancy schedule. By using TABS, energy consumption could be reduced by 20% compared to PTAC.

  • 최근에 들어서 이산화탄소가 지구온난화의 원인으로 알려져 있기 때문에 온실가스 문제는 이슈화 되어 왔다. 본 연구는 한국에서 운행 중인 차량에서 이산화탄소 배출가스 영향인자 특성을 파악하고자 했다. 가솔린 자동차 129대, 디젤자동차 100대, LPG 자동차 34대 차량을 차대 동력계에서 시험했다. 시험과정에서 이산화탄소, 일산화탄소 그리고 연료저감율을 측정했다. 실험모드는 현재 한국에서 경차의 배출가스를 규제하기 위해서 배출계수를 산정하기 위해 개발된 CVS-75 모드에서 이루어졌다. 실험 결과 배기량, 연료소비율, 연료 종류, 주행패턴, 마일수 그리고 이산화탄소 사이의 관련성이 조사되었다.

압전재료와 형상기억합금을 이용한 형상제어 (Shape Control using Piezoelectric Materials and Shape Memory Alloy)

  • In this study, shape memory alloy(SMA) wires and piezoceramic actuators(PZT's) are employed in order to generate higher modes on the beam deformations. Compressive force is generated and applied to the beam by the pre-strained SMA wires attached at both ends of the beam. PZT's apply concentrated moments to several locations on the beam. Combinations of the compressive force and concentrated moments are investigated in order to understand the higher-mode deformation of beams. The first desired mode shape is obtained by controlling the temperature of the SMA wires. The first and third mode shapes are performed experimentally by heating SMA wires up to phase transformation temperature. The adaptive wing is defined as a wing whose shape parameters such as the camber, wing twist and thickness can be varied in order to change the wing shape for various flight conditions. In this research, control of the camber has been studied. The wing model consists of three plates and many ribs. Two of the plates are placed parallel to each other and they are clamped at one edge. Third plate connects the other edges of the parallel plates together. Each rib is made of SMA wire and connected to the parallel plates. It generates concentrated force and applies to the plates in oblique directions. The PZT's are bonded onto the plates and exert concentrated moments upon the plate at several locations. The object of this research is to generate various shape of wing by combining the concentrated forces and moments.
