SERVPERF와 고객여정지도를 활용한 의료서비스 개선 요건 파악 (Identification of Requirements for Improving Healthcare Services with the Combined Use of SERVPERF and Customer Journey Map)

  • This paper is aimed at proposing a new approach to connecting the measurements of customer satisfaction on healthcare services with the prioritized identification of healthcare service processes to be improved. As customers' requirements for healthcare services have become too diverse and healthcare service systems have been increasingly complex, there has been growing interest in the customer-oriented evaluation of healthcare service quality and the systematic improvement of healthcare service processes. Most of the previous studies on service quality evaluation are based on SERVQUAL model. However, because of the unique characteristics and constraints inherent in healthcare service systems, it has been reported that SERVQUAL would be inadequate to be applied to healthcare service systems. As an alternative, SERVPERF has recently been widely used in the evaluation of healthcare service quality. However, there is a lack of studies on how to use the measurements of healthcare service quality systematically to improve service functions and processes. With this issue in mind, we firstly measured the customer-perceived satisfaction on the healthcare service quality from the six dimensions based on SERVPERF. Then we identified the relationships between the subjective measurements and healthcare service processes through brainstorming and expert interview. By using the relationships, we developed a customer journey map in healthcare services that visually describe the interaction between customers and healthcare service systems. The developed customer journey map would help service designers easily identify a healthcare service process that needs to be improved with priority. It is expected that the design improvement process proposed in this study would be a useful method for enhancing the quality of healthcare services.

의료진의 인지된 서비스품질이 환자와 보호자의 서비스 인식에 미치는 영향 (Effects of healthcare staffs' perceived service quality on service perception of patients and guardians)

  • In this study, we examined the effects of healthcare staffs' perceived service quality(E-PSQ) on patients' perceived service quality(P-PSQ) leading to patients' satisfaction(P-CS) and the effects on guardians' perceived service quality(G-PSQ) also leading to guardians' satisfaction(G-CS). To investigate the causalities of the factors, we collected national wide samples of 144 hospitals, 721 healthcare staffs, 1456 patients, and 1455 guardians of the patients. Followed were contributions of this study. First, healthcare staffs and patients were commonly related by service quality, which meant the increase of healthcare staffs' perceived service quality led to increase of patients' perceived service quality. Second, healthcare staffs and guardians of patients were also related by perceived service quality. Third, patients' perceived service quality would lead to service satisfaction of patients, Fourth, guardians' perceived service quality would also lead to service satisfaction of guardians. The findings implied service managers of hospital settings should pay attention to healthcare staffs' perception of service quality as well as those of patients and guardians. With such strategy, hospitals could survive the drastically changing environments of current healthcare service area.

  • Zoster-associated limb paresis is a relatively uncommon complication of herpes zoster that is characterized by focal motor weakness. Awareness of this disorder is important to avoid unnecessary invasive investigations and to ensure appropriate treatment. We report a case of a herpes zoster involving the femoral nerve.

  • 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 헬스케어를 제공하기 위한 새로운 유비쿼터스 헬스케어 서비스(UHS) 구조에 관해 서술한다. 이 새로운 서비스 구조는 두 가지의 특징을 가지고 있다. 첫 번째로 헬스 케어 서비스 에이젠트(Healthcare Service Agent)에 의한 헬스케어 서비스 요소(Healthcare Service Element) 선택에 관한 헬스케어 서비스 컴포지션(Healthcare Service Composition)과, 두 번째로 유비쿼터스 헬스케어 환경에서 서비스 요소 발견을 위한 새로운 헬스케어 서비스 에이젠트 구조에 관해 서술한다. UHS는 다양한 형태의 헬스케어 서비스 요소를 다루며, 이 헬스케어 서비스 요소는 사용자가 원하는 모든 의료정보에 관한 내용으로 나타낼 수 있다. UHS 기술은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 다양한 서비스를 제공할 것이다.

분산객체그룹 프레임워크 기반의 헬스케어 홈 서비스 시스템의 제안 (Suggestion of Healthcare Home Service System Based on Distributed Object Group Framework)

  • 본 논문에서는 센서 및 기기로부터 받은 정보를 이용하여 헬스케어 응용 서비스를 제공하고, 이를 원격에서 모니터링 및 제어할 수 있는 분산객체그룹 프레임워크 기반의 헬스케어 흠 서비스 시스템을 제안한다. 분산객체그룹 프레임워크는 헬스케어 응용의 수행을 위해 수행객체들 및 헬스케어 지원 센서 또는 기기들의 논리적인 서비스별 그룹화와 이들 그룹간의 상호 동적연결 및 실시간 서비스를 지원한다. 제안한 시스템의 구조는 3계층으로 헬스케어 지원 센서나 기기로 이루어진 물리적 계층, 분산객체그룹 프레임워크 지원 계층, 그리고 이들 기반위에서 수행할 헬스케어 응용 구현 계층으로 구성된다. 본 시스템 환경에서 헬스케어 응용으로 위치추적 서비스, 헬스정보 서비스, 그리고 쾌적환경 서비스들을 구현하였고, 각 서비스를 통합하여 수행한 결과를 원격 데스크탑과 이동 단말기를 통해 보였다.

  • Purpose: Mental health facilities are facing a new social environment. To provide appropriate patient care environment, mental health and mental healthcare is changing the paradigm. In this situation, this study research and analysis mental healthcare service system and mental healthcare facility in Germany. The reason is that Germany has cosistently been building mental healthcare service system and mental healthcare facility for patient. Therefore, it aims to suggest a fundamental resource for amental healthcare service system and mental healthcare facility for mental healtn. Methods: This study was conducted literature researches and field studies. Literature researches for mental healthcare service system and facilities. Field study is to identify the characteristic and configuration of mental healtncare facilities. Results: Findings of this study can be summerrized inth three points. First, In Germany, Mental healthcare facility is critical environment in the community. And, the facilities are being turned into reasonable and alternative environment. Second, Facilities of Mental healthcare and service system designed by various level and configurations that can be providing places for people with mental problems. Third, Mental healthcare facilities consist of healing environment for patient. Implications: The future study on finding of the specific environment planning citeria in mental healthcare facility on the basis of findings of present study.

의료서비스 품질 측정 요인: 의료서비스 인증 평가지표를 중심으로 (A multi-item measurement scale of healthcare service quality: an evaluation indicators of healthcare certification)

  • Purpose: Considering various measurements for healthcare service quality, the purpose of this study is to examine measurement items for healthcare service quality (HCSQ) based on previous study and service quality evaluation institutions in the international community. Methods: The proposed research model was tested using measurement analysis, based on data collected from 387 respondents in the selected hospital with more than 500 beds in South Korea. Results: The results of the study shed insights about the relative importance of quality items as degree of improvements of care services tangible, safety, efficiency, and empathy. Also, the study provides new measurement model for healthcare service quality. Conclusion: Healthcare organization thrives to find the key factors for improving quality of care and service that meet customers' needs and expectations.

  • The healthcare business is growing as a global core business because of the phenomenon of global aging, as well as in South Korea, skyrocketing health care costs accordingly, and changing the paradigm from treatment to the prevention-centered medical service. Especially, as the digital healthcare service stands out as a solution, major countries actively promote and support policies at the government level. Thus, this study will present attributes of a market-oriented service that would vitalize the digital healthcare service industry by investigating major attributes of the digital healthcare service. To analyze the relationships of the influences of attributes, this study used Interpretive Structural Modeling. As a result of literature research and ISM, this study can understand the eight basic attributes of the digital healthcare service (network scalability, context awareness, connection among information platforms, cost, trust, security, ease of use, usefulness) and analyze the relationships of the influences among the attributes. In addition, as this study finds some significant differences in Order Winner and Order Qualifier between the experts' group (security) and the users' group (trust, ease of use, usefulness), It provides meaningful implications for revitalization and promotion of digital healthcare service industry.

  • 본 논문에서는 u-헬스케어 응용 서비스 지원을 위한 액티브 모델 기반의 서비스 컴포넌트를 제안한다. 서비스 컴포넌트는 헬스케어 응용 서비스의 개발을 지원하기 위해 기능을 세분화하여 구현하였다. 특히, 분산 객체그룹 프레임워크를 기반으로 다양한 헬스케어 홈서비스에 분산객체 기술을 이용하여 통합된 환경에서 적응형 정보 서비스를 제공하는데 중점을 두었다. 그리고 본 논문에서 제안한 서비스 컴포넌트를 헬스케어 홈 모니터링, 모바일 모니터링, 웹기반 모니터링과 같은 헬스케어 응용 서비스에 적용하여 수행 결과를 보인다. 또한 응답시간과 네트워크 부하와 시스템 부하에 대한 성능 평가 결과를 보였다.

  • 최근 인구의 고령화 추세 및 웰빙에 대한 관심 증가는 헬스케어 서비스에 대한 수요의 증가로 이어지고 있다. 이러한 헬스케어 서비스는 지속적으로 사용자들이 해당 서비스를 이용하여 실제 건강을 증진시킬 수 있도록 돕는 것이 목적이다. 따라서 헬스케어 서비스의 효과성을 보다 증진시키기 위해서는 사용자가 헬스케어 서비스를 통해 추천되는 콘텐츠들에 대해 적극적으로 순응하고자 하는 의도를 가지고 행동을 취해야 한다. 하지만 기존의 헬스케어서비스에 관한 연구들은 순응의 서비스에 대한 지속사용의도에 대한 영향력을 살펴보는 연구들은 거의 없었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 헬스케어 서비스의 지속적 사용의도에 사용자의 순응의도가 어떠한 영향을 미치지는 지를 기존의 의료정보학 및 정보시스템 분야의 이론을 기반으로 실증 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 헬스케어 서비스에 대한 사용자의 순응의도(compliance intention)를 중심으로 지속사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검증하기 위한 모델을 제안하였고, 순응의도는 지속사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 주요한 변수임을 확인하였다. 또한 순응의도를 높이는 변수들에 대해서도 검증하였다.
