Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop a health-promoting program centered on the university-health center and to provide a developed program for students and faculties. Methods: A survey was conducted of 719 female students and 238 faculties concerning their health-promoting programs. Based on the results of the survey, we developed programs that could be applied to students and faculties. After operating the programs, we developed further models by evaluating the effectiveness and satisfaction. Conclusions: We selected a comprehensive health-promoting program that included weight control, preventive inoculation, sex education and control of disease based on repsective needs. We also applied programs developed through collaboration with other departments from September 1998 to August, 1999. Users of the preventive inoculation-program increased by one point five during the year. Also, participants were generally satisfied with the weight control program and succeeded in reducing weight. We hope that we can set up this program and expand it by developing various other projects in Korea.

This study investigates perception of the free school meal program, satisfaction of school meal, and eating habits of free and paid school meal program students in the Busan area. Between 20 to May 2020, a total of 350 students were researched, of which 177 belonged to the second grade of high school (free school meal program), and 173 were from the third grade of high school (paid school meal program). 96.0% free school meal program students and 89.0% paid school meal program students responded to the necessity of a free school meal program, which was significantly different between the two groups (P<0.05). All questions regarding the perception of the free school meal program, which were responded to by more than 3 points, were considered positive. 'Decline of the school meal's quality' had the maximum response, from 64.4% and 76.4% free and paid school meal program students, respectively, and was significantly different between groups (P<0.05). Paid school meal program students wasted significantly more school food than the free school meal program students (P<0.001). 'Not delicious' was responded by 56.0% free school meal program students and 50.0% paid school meal program students. Evaluating satisfaction of the food quality and service categories was determined to be higher amongst free school meal program students than the paid school meal program students (P<0.05). Considering our study data, we propose that with the gradual expension of free school meal programs, inclusion as part of the education system will serve as a foundation for proper eating habits, and compulsory education will help improve students' health and quality of life.

The subjects took medical treatment in private hospital(40.5%) and public health centers(35.0%). The men showed better level of aging status(p < 0.001) and life satisfaction index(p < 0.01) than the worsen. Living with spouse influenced the aging status(p < 0.05) and the more pocket money influenced life satisfaction(p < 0.05) and aging status(p < 0.05). The elderly who eat regularly 3 times a day(p < 0.05) and have a good appetite(p < 0.001) appeared to have positive effect on the self perception of health status and aging status. An increasing level of the self-perception of health status and regular exercise worked to improve aging status(p < 0.001). The habits of smoking and alcohol drinking, however had no effect on any index. The self-perception of health status affected the nutrient intake, but only in female elderly. The aging status and the life satisfaction index related overall positively to the intake of nutrients. In conclusion, the study shows that gender did influence nutrient intake in the elderly. The women who live alone rated lowest in social resources and health condition therefore their nutrient intake was also extremely in deficit. For successful aging, a program for rural elderly is needed, i.e. actions to provide minimum economic life, food delivery and psychological/physical health care through regional public health centers.
