  • In this paper, we propose a study is to prepare basic data for integrated health promotion education by preventing dry mouth and dry eyes through lifestyle management. From October 7 to 17, 2022, a total of 516 respondents who voluntarily agreed and responded through a self-written structured questionnaire were statistically analyzed for university students in their 20s across the country. As for the factor of feeling dry mouth among the living habits of the study subjects, the more smoking per day, the higher(8.41±2.041) and very high(7.75±2.927) felt dry mouth(p=.015), and the time spent using smart phones. The shorter this was, the lower(1.16±0.784) and very low(1.83±1.672) felt dry mouth(p=.022). The main factors contributing to dry mouth and dry eyes were dry eyes (odds ratio 3.651, p=.000), and high smoking(odds ratio 0.916, p=.038), and the more you use your smart phone (odds ratio 0.256, p=.004), the more you feel dry mouth. When feeling dry eyes, they felt dry mouth more(odds ratio 4.002, p=.000), and the more they exercised, the more dry eyes they felt(odds ratio 1.600, p=.009). As a result, since dry mouth and dry eyes appear as common inconveniences, it was found that lifestyle management is necessary to maintain and promote a healthy life. Therefore, it is proposed to build an integrated health platform that can improve the quality of life and implement personalized health management programs.

  • Indoor radon($^{222}Rn$) concentrations of subway stations in Seoul area were measured to survey the environmental indoor radon levels and to identify sources of radon. The radon concentration of indoor air by method of long-term measuring with a-track detector were surveyed at 232 subway stations from 1998 to 2004. And the radon concentration in ground-water was measured with a method of alpha particle counting. To trace main source of radon, 8 out of 232 stations were selected and their radon concentrations in tunnel and on platform were analyzed. Total geometric mean and arithmetic mean of radon concentrations in all stations from 1998 to 2004 were $1.40{\pm}1.94pCi/L,\;1.65{\pm}1.07$ respectively. Geometric means of radon concentrations on platform and concourse were $1.54{\pm}1.96pCi/L,\;1.23{\pm}1.88pCi/L$ respectively, with higher concentration at the platform than at the concourse. The geological structure was significantly correlated to the indoor radon concentration in subway stations region. Radon concentrations of adjacent tunnel and ground-water of subway station was significantly correlated to the indoor radon concentration in subway stations. And There was a significant difference in radon concentration, depending on the depth levels in platform of subway stations(p<0.05).

  • In order to monitor internal risk factors such as fire, terror, etc. on the subway station, the surveillance systems using CCTV and various kinds of sensors have been implemented and recently, introduction of surveillance systems using an advanced IT technology, sensor network technology is tried on several areas. Since 2007, Korean government has made an effort to develop the intelligent surveillance and monitoring system, which can monitor fire, intrusion, passenger congestion, health-state of structure, etc., by using wireless sensor network technology and intelligent video analytic technique. For that purpose, this study carried out field wireless communication environment test on Chungmuro Station of Seoul Metro on the basis of ZigBee that is considered as a representative wireless sensor network before field application of the intelligent integrated surveillance system being developed, arranged and analyzed and ZigBee based wireless communication environment test results on the platform and waiting room of Chungmuro Station on this paper. Results of wireless spectrum analysis on the platform and waiting room showed that there is no radio frequency overlapped with that of ZigBee based sensor network and no frequency interference with adjacent frequencies separated 10MHz or more. As results of wireless data transmission test using ZigBee showed that data transmission is influenced by multi-path fading effect from the number and flow rate of passengers on the platform or the waiting room rather than effects from entrance and exit of the train to/from the platform, it should be considered when implementing the intelligent integrated surveillance system on the station.

  • Purpose:The purpose of this study was to investigated the effect of stability on heel-heights of insole in healthy adults. Methods:Subjects of 39 males measured stability index of the Biodex Stability System(BSS) by wearing shoes of 2cm, 5cm insoles including bare feet. The BSS was consisted of a movable balance platform and the platform was interfaced with computer software that enables the device to serve as an assessment of balance performance. Stability index of the BSS included overall stability index(OSI), anteroposterior stability index(APSI), mediolateral stability index(MLSI). In the BSS, subjects were asked to step on to the platform of the BSS and assume a comfortable position while maintaining slight flexion in the knees, looking straight ahead. Subjects were trained for 10min for adaptation to the heel-height of insole and then they maintained double limb stance for 2min. Biodex platform set to convert Lv.8 into Lv.1 gradually. Results:There were statistically significant differences between heel-heights of insole and stability index of OSI, APSI, and MLSI(p<.05). The result of post-hoc test were as follows; 1)OSI had significant differences between bare feet and 2cm, 5cm. 2)APSI had significant differences between bare feet and 2cm, 5cm. 3)MLSI had significant differences between bare feet and 2cm, 5cm(p<.05). Conclusions:We found that the more heels of insole high, the more stability index increases. In particular, balance index of insole above 5cm more increased and we could acknowledge that the insole above 5cm more effected balance of healthy adults.

  • Machine to Machine (M2M) is a technology that presents communication between two or more devices with or without human intervention. M2M communications can be applied for various use cases such as environmental monitoring, health care, smart metering and etc. In most use cases, M2M utilizes sensor nodes to collect data from the intended environment and the data is transmitted back to M2M application through other devices (gateways, sink nodes). In some use cases, M2M devices are being designed to store and process sensor data for improving the reliability of the service; Gateways and sink nodes are also intended to store and process the gathered data from sensor nodes. This kind of approach is very challenging for both academy and industry. In order to enhance the performance of this approach, in this paper, we propose our Common Service Security Platform (CSSP) for M2M devices and gateways. CSSP platform presents solutions for the devices and gateways by making them operate more accurately and efficiently. Besides, we present a comparative analysis of communication protocols and present their performance in accordance with selected metrics.

  • In this paper, we proposed IoT based Smart Health Service using Motion Recognition for Human UX/UI. Until now, sensor networks using M2M-based u-healthcare are using non-IP protocol instead of TCP / IP protocol. However, in order to increase the service utilization and facilitate the management of the IoT-based sensor network, many sensors are required to be connected to the Internet. Therefore, IoT-based smart health service is designed considering network mobility because it is necessary to communicate not only the data measured by sensors but also the Internet. In addition, IoT-based smart health service developed smart health service for motion detection as well as bio information unlike existing healthcare platform. WBAN communications used in u-healthcare typically consist of many networked devices and gateways. The method proposed in this paper can easily cope with dynamic changes even in a wireless environment by using a technology supporting mobility between WBAN sensor nodes, and systematic management is performed through detection of a user's motion.
