The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of flow rate distribution in hot-water piping networks in the apartment building. A 14-story apartment house was selected as a sample building and analyzed numerically by Hardy-Cross method. Two different piping networks, one has three vertical zones and the other of a single zone with automatic balancing valves, were compared. Some of research results are as follows; As the temperature of supply hot-water increases, the flow rate of it does by buoyancy effect, but this effect is not found in the piping network with automatic balancing valves. Non-uniformity in hot-water flow distributions to all stories in the piping system of single vertical zone can be completely reformed by the installation of either manually operated or automatic balancing valves in every story.

In order to design a stable robust controller, nominal model, and the upper bound about the uncertainty which is the error of the model are needed. The problem to estimate the nominal model of controlled system and the upper bound of uncertainty at the same time is called robust identification. When the nominal model of controlled system and the upper bound of uncertainty in relation to robust identification are given, the evaluation of the validity of the model and the upper bound makes it possible to distinguish whether there is a model which explains observation data including disturbance among the model set. This paper suggests a method to identity the uncertainty which removes disturbance and expounds observation data by giving a probable postulation and plural data set to disturbance. It also examines the suggested method through a numerical computation simulation and validates its effectiveness.

To apply and evaluate the effectiveness of genetic markers on Hanwoo traceability systems, samples of 33 Hanwoo individuals from Korean elite sire families were used, and five microsatellite markers were selected finally, which were located on chromosomes different chromosomes with the end sequencing of 100 HW-YUBAC that were recorded in the NCBI by Yeungnam University. Ten major microsatellite markers were selected from alleles amplified, their frequencies, H(Heterozygosity) and PIC(Polymorphism information content) with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Next, in order to evaluate the power of the markers selected on the individual animal identification, the match probability(MP) and the relatedness coefficient(R) were computed.

Summary: The analysis of human genetic variation is one of the key issues far the understanding of the different drug response among individuals and many programs are developed for this purpose. However, current publicly available programs have so many limitations such as time complexity problem for the analysis of large amount of alleles or SNPs, difficult manipulation for installation, data import, and usage, and low-quality visual output. Here we present workbench for SNP anlaysis, SNPAnalyzer. SNPAnalyzer consists of 3 main modules: 1)Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium ,2) Haplotype Estimation, and 3) Linkage Disequilibrium. Each module has several different widely-used algorithms for the extensive analysis and can handle large amount of alleles and SNPs with simple format. Analysis results are displayed in user-friendly formats such as table, graph and map. SNPAnalyzer is developed using C and C$^{++}$ and users can easily access through web-interftce. From April 1984 to April 1990, seven patients with Ebstein's anomaly underwent surgical repair. Mean age at operation was 18.6 years (range, 2 to 46 years). Operations were performed using hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass. Surgical procedures included tricupid valve replacement (n:6) and tricuspid valve reconstruction (n: 1). There were two hospital deaths. There have been no late death. All survivors are in New York Heart Association class I or II with a median follow-up of 6.2 years(range, 4 to 8.3 years).

A population of exotic Holstein Friesian, Jersey, their crossbreds and the indigenous Murrah breed of buffalo bulls (n=486), used in artificial insemination breeding program were screened for the allelic distribution of the ${\kappa}$-casein and ${\beta}$-lactoglobulin genotypes. The preferred "B" allele frequency was highest in Murrah buffalo bulls followed by Jersey and Holstein Friesian. The increase in this particular allele frequency in the Holstein Friesian crossbred bulls was more when compared to their Jersey counterparts. Hardy-Weinberg's equilibrium was maintained albeit with some deviations, which was higher in crossbreds than in purebreds. The feasibility of using such large-scale molecular diagnostic tools in the field and their significance with regards to the dairy economy is discussed.

It is known that the partial sum of the Taylor series of an holomorphic function of one complex variable converges in norm on $H^p(\mathbb{D})$ for 1 < p < ${\infty}$. In this paper, we consider various type of partial sums of a holomorphic function of several variables which also converge in norm on $H^p(\mathbb{B}_n)$ for 1 < p < ${\infty}$. For the partial sums in several variable cases, some variables could be chosen slowly (fastly) relative to other variables. We prove that in any cases the partial sum converges to the original function, regardlessly how slowly (fastly) some variables are taken.

In this paper, we show that the commutator of the intrinsic square function with BMO symbols is bounded on the variable exponent Lebesgue spaces $L^{p({\cdot})}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ applying a generalization of the classical Rubio de Francia extrapolation. As a consequence we further establish its boundedness on the variable exponent Morrey spaces $\mathcal{M_{p({\cdot}),u}$, Morrey-Herz spaces $M{\dot{K}}^{{\alpha}({\cdot}),{\lambda}}_{q,p({\cdot})}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ and Herz type Hardy spaces $H{\dot{K}}^{{\alpha}({\cdot}),q}_{p({\cdot})}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$, where the exponents ${\alpha}({\cdot})$ and $p({\cdot})$ are variable. Observe that, even when ${\alpha}({\cdot}){\equiv}{\alpha}$ is constant, the corresponding main results are completely new.

Let $M_{z^N}(N{\in}{\mathbb{Z}}^d_+)$ be a bounded multiplication operator on a class of Hilbert spaces with orthogonal basis $\{z^n:n{\in}{\mathbb{Z}}^d_+\}$. In this paper, we prove that each reducing subspace of $M_{z^N}$ is the direct sum of some minimal reducing subspaces. For the case that d = 2, we find all the minimal reducing subspaces of $M_{z^N}$ ($N=(N_1,N_2)$, $N_1{\neq}N_2$) on weighted Bergman space $A^2_{\alpha}({\mathbb{B}}_2)$(${\alpha}$ > -1) and Hardy space $H^2({\mathbb{B}}_2)$, and characterize the structure of ${\mathcal{V}}^{\ast}(z^N)$, the commutant algebra of the von Neumann algebra generated by $M_{z^N}$.

Folk Remedies symbolize the medical art of the common people, and contain their special emotion and colloquial expressions. They are medical treatments in which the medical history and the tradition and the soul of a people are incorporated. They are handed down in various ways. This study introduces some of folk remedies. For example, powder of tigers' bones heals neuralgia. Rice wine brewing up with ginger is effective in a cold. Water boiling with safflower does good in neuralgia. Pasting herba houttuyniae takes effect in skin disease. To Decoct and drink old hardy orange is effective in urticaria. Water boiling with fructus corni alleviates a fever. Camellia oil or rhizoma cnidii or iris is used for the extermination of vermin and the antiseptic. In the end, the practical application of these remedies to the resources of industry and education will be discussed.
