  • Background : The human being and the bacteria have accomplished a balance and have coexisted each other during long time. Probiotics have evolved with the human host to exist and the result they have operated profitably to human host. So it requires that the functions of probiotics are expounded in view of Traditional Korean Medicine. Aim : Suggest the functions of probiotics in view of Traditional Korean Medicine. Method : The author's research has been performed to review the related references. Results : Probiotics assist the absorption of the lactose, proteins and minerals and product several kinds of vitamins, organic acids. Probiotics suppresses the growth of noxious bacteria and the production of harmful substances or gases. They absorbed and discharge the bile acid, and thus help us maintain the optimal level of blood cholesterol concentration. They can reinforce the immune response of the mucous membrane and control the hypersensitivity immune reaction such as asthma, atopy on the other hand. Probiotics have right functions as above and so can be applied widely in treatment of various disease and symptom. Conclusion : Considering the functions of probiotics in view of Traditional Korean Medicine, they participate in our spleen-earth-system (digestion and synthesis) and liver-wood-system (regulation of digestion, metabolism, internal secretion etc.), assist the function of lung-metal system(respiration and regulation of water metabolism) and regulate wi-chi (reinforce/control immune system). Consequently, hereafter there would be a necessity of control a circumstance in treatment of various diseases under these categories that probiotics should be able to do their right functions inside the human body.

  • The aim of this study is to identify intelligent learning support functions in Learning Management System (LMS) to support university student learning activities during the transition from face-to-face classes to online learning. To accomplish this, we investigated the perceptions of students on the levels of importance and urgency toward learning support functions of LMS powered with Artificial Intelligent (AI) technology and analyzed the differences in perception according to student characteristics. As a result of this study, the function that students considered to be the most important and felt an urgent need to adopt was to give automated grading and feedback for their writing assignments. The functions with the next highest score in importance and urgency were related to receiving customized feedback and help on task performance processed as well as results in the learning progress. In addition, students view a function to receive customized feedback according to their own learning plan and progress and to receive suggestions for improvement by diagnosing their strengths and weaknesses to be both vitally important and urgently needed. On the other hand, the learning support function of LMS, which was ranked as low importance and urgency, was a function that analyzed the interaction between professors and students and between fellow students. It is expected that the results of this student needs analysis will be helpful in deriving the contents of learning support functions that should be developed as well as providing basic information for prioritizing when applying AI technology to implement learner-centered LMS in the future.

  • In this paper we consider analogous of Gronwall-type inequalities involving iterated integrals in the inequality (1.2) for functions when the function u in the right-hand side of the inequality (1.2) is replaced by the function $u^P$ for some p. These inequalities are effective tools in the study of a system of an integral equation. We also provide some integral inequalities involving iterated integrals.

  • In this paper auto-tuning scheme of weight function in the neural networks has been suggested by immune algorithm for nonlinear process. A number of structures of the neural networks are considered as learning methods for control system. A general view is provided that they are the special cases of either the membership functions or the modification of network structure in the neural networks. On the other hand, since the immune network system possesses a self organizing and distributed memory, it is thus adaptive to its external environment and allows a PDP (parallel distributed processing) network to complete patterns against the environmental situation. Also. It can provi..

  • We consider the second-order nonlinear difference equation (1) $$\Delta(a_nh(x_{n+1}){\Delta}x_n)+p_{n+1}f(x_{n+1})=0,\;n{\geq}n_0$$ where ${a_n},\;{p_n}$ are sequences of integers with $a_n\;>\;0,\;\{P_n\}$ is a real sequence without any restriction on its sign. hand fare real-valued functions. We obtain some necessary conditions for (1) existing nonoscillatory solutions and sufficient conditions for (1) being oscillatory.

  • This investigation is to make comparative evaluation of the corrosion inhibiting effects of quinoline, oxine and 7-nitroso 8-hydroxy quinoline (7NHQ). In case of quinoline, and oxine, since the N atom in them functions as cation, the process involved is assumed to be cathode control. On the other hand 7-NHQ was found to form a stable chelate compound with $Fe^{++}$ ion in acidic solution and shows as anode control predominantly. After plotting polarization curves, Tafel parameters were calculated in each solution involving the inhibitors, at the same time corrosion inhibiting effects were separately measured and compared from data of both corrosion current and analytical method.

  • The Drone shot is moving images captured by a remotely controlled unmanned aerial vehicle, takes usually bird's eye view. The hand-held shot is moving images recorded by literal handheld shooting which is specialized to on-the-spot filming. It takes a walker's viewpoint through vivid realism of its self-reflexive camera movements. The purpose of this study is to analyze comparatively aesthetic functions of the drone shot and the hand-held shot. For this, the study understood Certeau's concepts of 'place' and 'space,' chose World Travel 'Peninsula de Yucatan' episode as a research object, and analytically applied two concepts to the scenes clearly presenting two shots' aesthetic characteristics. As a result, the drone shot took the authoritative viewpoint providing the general information and atmosphere as it overlooked the city with silent movements removing the self-reflexivity. This aesthetic function was reinforced the narration and subtitles mediating prior-knowledge about proper rules and orders of the place. The drone shot tended to project the location as a place. Conversely, the hand-held shot practically experienced the space with free walking which is free from rules and orders inherent in the city. The aesthetics of hand-held images represented the tactic resisting against the strategy of a subject of will and power in that the hand-held shot practiced anthropological walking by means of noticing everyday lives of the small town and countryside than main tourist attraction. In opposition to the drone shot, the hand-held shot tended to reflect the location as a space.

  • This studies were carried out in order to develope environmentally-friendly fiber materials and substitute resources of Paper mulberry. Various plant fibers such as New Zealand flax, Indian mallow, Kuzu vine and Yucca were used as raw materials of hand-made papers. We rotted these 4 kinds of plant fibers and removed non-cellulose. After rotting, the pulping rate(%) and the length of fibers in pulps were measured. The physical characteristics of papers made of various plants fiber were investigated and the probabilities of practical use were considered. The results were as follow: The non-cellulose contents of plant fibers were $30{\sim}40%$ and those contents must be lower down to 8% to be able to manufacture the hand made papers. The lignin in pulps were removed almost and the hemicellulose were partially removed to reach up to appropriate level of the pulp rates and fiber lengths. The more hemicellulose removed, the finer fiber thickness were and rapidly the lower Hanji tensile strength were. But the tear strength of these plants of hand-made papers do not decreased so much as tensile strength. So the property of 4 types of plant fibers might be of great advantages to make hand-made papers. Both tensile and tear strengths of Hanji of New Zealand flax, Indian mallow, Kuzu vine and Yucca were higher than Paper mulberry hand-made paper. When 30% of mulberry paper were mixed, the mixing effect showed maximum. Because of the functions of all plant fiber hand-made papers showed better than those of Paper mulberry hand-made paper, 4 types of plant fibers could be substitute Paper mulberry.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of fidget spinner training on the hand function and handwriting legibility of lower grade elementary school studens. Methods : This study randomly assigned a study group of 12 children and control group of 12 children from 24 children in grade 1 and 2 (ages 7 through 8), whose are dominantly right handed. The study used was a pre-post process. The intervention was conducted only on the study group twice a week for 5 weeks and for 40 minutes per session, for a total of ten sessions. The measuring instruments used to compare the hand functions and handwriting legibility were the Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test, Grip Strength Test, and Legibility Test. The data analysis used a Wilcoxon signed rank, Mann-Whitney U and Chi-Square cross analysis. Results : The fidget spinner training showed significant improvement in the study group's hand function(grip strength and handwriting legibility) and a significant difference was shown between the control and study groups. Conclusion : This study confirmed the value and utility of a fidget spinner as a tool for improving the hand function and handwriting legibility of elementary school students in lower grades. Future studies are expected to verify the effectiveness of the fidget spinner training based on the present study.

  • The fuzzy linear programming(FLP) is the useful approach to many real world problems under uncertainty. This paper deals with a FLP whose objective value is fuzzy. And the right hand sides of convergent equality constraints are fuzzy numbers. We assume that the membership function of the objective value is piecewise linear and those of the right hand side are trapezoidal. Each of these trapezoidal functions can be algebraically replaced with three linear functions. Then the FLP problem is transformed into the Zimmermann's symmetric model. The fuzzy solution based on the max-min rule can be obtained by solving the crisp linear programming problem derived from the symmetric model. A numerical example has illustrated our approach. The application of our approach to the inconsistent linear system can enable generate us to get define the useful and flexible inexact solutions within acceptable tolerance. Further research is required to generalize the membership function.
