Genetic Screening for Mutations in the Chip Gene in Intracranial Aneurysm Patients of Chinese Han Nationality

  • We performed a case-control study to investigate whether SNPs of CHIP might affect the development of IA in Chinese Han nationality. We believe we are the first to have screened IA patients for mutations in the CHIP gene to determine the association with these variants. The study group comprised 224 Chinese Han nationality patients with at least one intracranial aneurysm and 238 unrelated healthy Han nationality controls. Genomic DNA was isolated from blood leukocytes. The entire coding regions of CHIP were genotyped by PCR amplification and DNA sequencing. Differences in genotype and allele frequencies between patients and controls were tested by the chi-square method. Genotype and allele frequencies of the SNP rs116166850 was demonstrated to be in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. No significant difference in genotype or allele frequencies between case and control groups was detected at the SNP. Our data do not support the hypothesis of a major role for the CHIP gene in IA development in the Chinese Han population.

Comparative Study on Chinese Junior Middle School Students' Mathematics Belief Systems in Chaoxian and Han Nationalities

  • We used the quantitative method to compare with Chinese junior middle school students' mathematics belief systems in Chaoxian and Han nationalities, and their correlations within its own group. By comparison, the results revealed that all students in Han and Chaoxian nationalities hold multiple beliefs, and their belief systems are not stable. In addition, there were some differences and similarities between their belief systems in two nationalities, and significant correlations were founded.

  • This study investigated of the differences of the image between the domestic and china tourist of the visiting in busan metropolitan city and their image evaluation were different according to the nationality. The attribute for the destination image types were measured using 27 items. The factors involved in the destination image were analysis and 7 factors emerged. The result are as follows. First, Between the domestic and china tourist of living appeared to statistical different of the destination image. Second, Between destination image and revisiting preference appeared to statistical difference. Third, Between destination image and revisiting preference appeared to statistical difference according to the nationality. Forth, Between destination image and revisiting preference appeared to statistical partially difference according to the nationality. Finally it is also appeared to the statistical difference on the job. ANOVA, t-test was utilized for the above analysis which revealed that a statistic partially difference exited between domestic and china tourist.

전통 패션상품의 시장기회분석을 통한 브랜드 마케팅 전략 제안 (Suggestions for Brand Marketing Strategies through Market Opportunity Analysis of Traditional Fashion Products)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore global consumer behavior with fashion products, Korean fashion products, and Korean traditional fashion products (i.e., Han-Bok). Clothing selection criteria for fashion products and Korean fashion products were included as major constructs far the comparison among global consumers based on their nationality. Other consumer behavior variables were shopping place, buying frequency, purchase experience/plan, preferred brand, purchase items, information source, purchasing usage, and the product evaluation of Hanbok. A convenience sample of 236 global consumers was selected for this study. A questionnaire was pilot tested, and the revised questionnaire was used for the interview survey. Descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used for data analysis. Various nationality were existed such as Europe, North America, Japan, China, South East Asia. The results indicated that the most important criteria for fashion buying were design, fit, and size in order. Fit, size, and color item from buying criteria were significantly different among global consumers by nationality. Country of origin was found as less important factor among global consumers. Department store was most favorable shopping place, and once a month is the most mentioned category in buying frequency. Preferred brands were Levi's, Polo, Gucci, and Prada, etc. Secondly, regarding the evaluation of Korean fashion products, textile quality was highly evaluated. Significant difference except design/style category were existed among global consumers by nationality. Thirdly, regarding the evaluation of Hanbok, the product evaluation of Hanbok highly represented as special event clothing, unique image, beautiful details and oriental beauty in order. Significant difference in good quality of textiles, oriental beauty, coordination with good colors and fabrics, beautiful details and unique style and design were existed among global consumers by nationality. Managerial implications were discussed.

다문화가정 초등학교 아동의 자아정체감 연구: 어머니 양육행동과 학교생활만족도와의 관계를 중심으로 (A Sense of Self-identity in Elementary School Children of Multi-cultural Families: The relations between the Maternal Mother's Behaviors and the Children's School Satisfaction)

  • This study had a purpose to present a comprehensive grasp of the variables that influence a sense of self-identity in children of multi-cultural families. The participants were 310 elementary school children from the fourth to sixth grades and who were currently enrolled in North Jeolla Province. The results were as follows. First, no significant difference was found for a sense of self-identity according to the children's gender. But a significant difference was found according to the nationality of the mothers. Second, the boys' self-identity was affected by mother's rejection of discipline/reprimand behaviors and the girls' self-identity was affected by school satisfaction. Last, children's selfidentity was affected by the mother's nationality(Japan, China, and Philippine).

  • Since the Salamanca statement in 1994, inclusive education became the worldwide issue in the field of educational policy. Inclusive education is defined that equality and comprehensive education in the classroom to learning together regardless of whether with disability or not (Han et al, 2013). Inclusive education is the educational system and consist of the three domains; guarantee of rights, improvement in environment and reform in curriculum (Han et al, 2015). Diversity education has been positioned as an educational method in inclusive education. Diversity in classroom is very wide ranging; nationality, gender, culture, race, ethnicity, disability, age and religion. Diversity education is the educational method to providing the appropriate education for the children's diversity on the assumption that appreciate to the diversity. In recent years, the main purpose of inclusive education is to encompass children with disabilities. However, developmental disabilities that has no intellectual delay become a new challenge in education in addition to the physical and mental disability. This study aims to definition of the diversity education as the educational method in Japan.

싱가포르 대학생의 김치에 대한 기호도 (A Survey on Singapore University Students' Perception and Preference for Korean Kimchi)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and preference for Korean Kimchi in Singapore. A questionnaire was answered by both male 236(43.0%) and female 313(57.0%) college students residing in Singapore. The results were as follows : the nationality of Kimchi as Korean was given by 86.9% of the participants, and 48.7% had eaten Kimchi. For their perceptions on Kimchi, the highest answer at a mean of 3.95 was 'Kimchi is a good side dish with cooked rice'. It was significantly different than 'Kimchi is delicious'(M=3.14, p<.05). In the evaluation of different kinds of Kimchi, taste was highest for anchovy dachi Kimchi(M=5.50) on the fourth day of fermentations, and overall acceptability was also highest for the anchovy dachi Kimchi(M=6.18) on the fourth day(p<.001). In the sensory evaluation by Kimchi use, the best taste was in the order of Kimchi Salad(M=6.10), Kimchi Bacon Roll(M=6.00) and Kimchi Croquette(M=5.67), and the order for overall acceptability was Kimchi Salad(M=6.10), Kimchi Bacon Roll(M=6.00) and Kimchi Croquette(M=5.92).

Application of mathematical metamodeling for an automated simulation of the Dong nationality drum tower architectural heritage

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) models are a powerful tool for preserving and using architectural history. Manually creating information models for such a significant number and variety of architectural monuments as Dong drum towers is challenging. The building logic based on "actual measurement construction" was investigated using the metamodel idea, and a metamodel-based automated modeling approach for the wood framework of Dong drum towers was presented utilizing programmable algorithms. Metamodels of fundamental frame kinds were also constructed. Case studies were used to verify the automated modeling's correctness, completeness, and efficiency using metamodel. The results suggest that, compared to manual modeling, automated modeling using metamodel may enhance the model's integrity and correctness by 5-10% while also reducing time efficiency by 10-20%. Metamodel and construction logic offer a novel way to investigate data-driven autonomous information-based modeling.

  • This thesis is based on an in-depth interview on participation experience of ten immigrants who reside in S Multi-cultural Family Support Center that is located in Gyeonggi-do in Korea Immigration & Integration Program(KIIP). The purpose of this research is to present through it's basic data for improvement in the operation of KIIP in the future by grasping participation process in KIIP that the immigrants have experienced, problems involved in their operation, and related requirements. Major results of the research are as follows: First, the motive for the immigrants' participation in KIIP was to acquire Korean nationality, learn Korean, and prepare for their future in Korea. Second, as a difficulty in participation in KIIP, access to educational institutions loomed large. Third, regarding improvements in the operation of KIIP, marriage immigrants needed to continue Korean language education, whereas other immigrants revealed a demand for opening evening classes or weekend classes. In the final analysis, it seems that for KIIP to provide an opportunity for the immigrants to have a vision for their life in the future, as well as for its realization in Korean society, policy-oriented institutional support that pays attention to their life situation and demands is badly needed.

  • 본 연구는 2009년부터 2015년까지 온게임넷에서 방영한 "켠김에 왕까지"를 분석한다. "켠김에 왕까지"는 게스트가 게임을 시작한 후, 특정 게임을 끝내거나 미션을 임무하는 게임 프로그램이다. 다른 게임 프로그램들과는 다르게, 대부분의 게스트들은 전문적인 게이머가 아닌 점을 통해 희극적인 도전과 유희를 보여 준다. 본 연구는 이 프로그램에서 사용된 비디오 게임의 다양한 구성 요소를 분석한다. 구체적으로, 구성 요소들은 장르, 플랫폼, 국적, 클리어(완수) 시간으로 분류된다. 이를 통해, 본 연구는 프로그램의 다양한 구성 요소를 분석할 뿐만 아니라, 게임 프로그램에 대한 청사진도 제공한다.
