A Single-phase High Power Factor Rectifier With Low Energy Storage Using Active Filter (능동필터를 이용한 저(低)에너지 축적 단상 고역률 정류기)

  • It this paper, a single-phase high power factor rectifier with low-enery requirements for filtering elements is proposed. By switching control, the current containing the 3rd-hamonic component is to flow into the rectifier. Properly selecting the amplitude of the 3rd-hamonic component, it is possible to reduce the stored energy in the rectifier. Boost converter is used for power-factor control while active filter absorbs the 3rd-hamonic component. Simulation results are presented to show low stored energy of the proposed rectifier.

  • A PWM switching control strategy based on instantaneous integration concept for reducing hamonic components of inverter system with fluctuating input voltage is presented. Applying this strategy to single phase full bridge PWM inverter through bipolor switching method and unipolor switching method, reduction of hamonic components of output voltage and current is demonstrated through simulation. The system operation is examined and confirmed by experiments.

  • It is well known that the pipe will be unstable if the fluid velocity is higher than critical velocity. But even if the velocity of the fluid below the critical velocity, resonance will be caused by pulsation of the fluid. So, many people has studied about the piping system vibration due to a fluid pulsation. But almost guess that fluid has only one hamonic pulsation. Actually, like this case is rare quite. So, in this paper, we consider the vibration analysis of a pipe conveying fluid with several harmonic pulsations and compare the result which considers one hamonic pulsation with the result which considers several harmonic pulsations. And we verify the result in time domain again.

  • In this report, Experimental analysis for main factors and analyzing methods of electro-magnetic noise and no loading noise was conducted because of noise of AC generator, which is peripheral equipment by reduction of engine noise that would be the main cause of vehicle radiation noise. In addition, This is intended to suggest the noise reduction development basis of AC generator for actual fan and electro-magnetic noise by making-analyzing-testing it's sample.

  • Stepped bean with immovable ends for large amplitude of vibration including effects of longitudinal displacement, shear deformation and rotary inertia is investigated for free and forced vibration using finite element method. Modified harmonic force matrix is introduced for analysis of vibration with finite amplitude of the stepped beam under uniform hamonic loading and beam with nonuniform harmonic loading. Numerical examples of stepped beam with various support conditions are analysed for deflections and natural frequencies. Results show that the proposed method is valid and efficient.

Modelling Technique and Model Analysis of Submerged Structures Using Finite Element Method and Boundary Element Method (유한요소법과 경계요소법을 이용한 수중에서의 탄성구조물의 진동모드해석 및 모델링 기법)

  • This paper shows hot to model the submerged elastic structures and adequate analysis tools for modal behavior when using finite element and boundary element method. Four different cases are reviewed depending on the location of the water and air. First case is that structures are filled with air and water is located outside. Second case is opposite to case one. These cases are solved by direct approach using collocation procedure. Third case is that water is located both sides of structures. Last case is that air is located both sides. These cases are solved by indirect approach using variational procedure. As analysis tools harmonic frequency sweep analysis and eigenvalue iteration method are selected to obtain the natural frequencies of vibrating submerged structures depending on the cases. Results are compared with closed form solutions of submerged spherical shell.

  • 본 논문에서는 IMT-2000용 AB급 대전력 증폭기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 전력증폭기의 주파수 대역은 IMT-2000용 순방향 주파수인 2110MHz-2170MHz에서 AB급으로 동작하도록 하였고, 고효율성과 우수한 선형성 소자인 LDMOSFET를 사용하였다. 설계 특성에 맞는 최적부하를 찾아 마이크로 스트립 회로로 입력 및 출력 정합 회로를 구현하였다 임피던스 정합 방법으로는 소자를 실제 측정상태에서 입력단과 출력단에 튜너를 삽입하고 기본 주파수에서 최대 출력상태를 만족하는 임피던스를 튜너로 구현한 후, 튜너를 제거하고 튜너의 입력 임피던스를 Network Analyzer로 측정하여 최적 부하 임피던스를 추출하는 로드풀 방법을 사용하였다. 대전력 증폭기의 측정결과로는 2-톤 인가시 40.57dBm의 출력결과를 얻을 수 있었고 30.61dBc의 상호 혼변조 특성을 확인하였으며, 원신호의 하모닉(Hamonic) 주파수 성분과는 21.46dBc의 차이를 보였다.

  • Various sampling methods are used for microprocessor-based measurement and analysis to nonsinusoidal waveforms caused by power electronic converters. The hamonic component generates the indicating errors at the measuring instruments. This can be solved by microprocessor-based measurement and hence the microprocessor-based measuring equipment and its algorithm are developed in this paper. As a result the suggested equipment has very good measuring performances.

  • A new capacitor-input type voltage source rectifier is proposed in this paper. The proposed rectifier is based upon 6-pulse diode rectifier with the addition of an auxiliary circuit. By proper operation of the switches of the auxiliary circuit, the input voltage waveform has 18-pulse characteristics and the input current becomes almost sinusoidal due to input ac reactors. The operating principle along with current analysis and input voltage waveform synthesis is described. The experimental results from a laboratory prototype verify the proposed concept.
