  • A rapid thermal annealing system using tungsten halogen lamp has been designed and assembled. A control scheme where the temperature control is executed with calculated wafer temperature by considering the thermocouple delay rather than measured thermocouple temperature,is proposed. This control scheme gives more accurate control of the wafer temperature. In addition, the distribution of transmitted light power to the wafer in the system has been simulated, and lamp interval modification has been able to give more uniform light power distribution. Considering incident light spectrum, absorption, reflection, radiation of silicon, etc., temperature profile has been simulated. When the light power uniformity on the 3" wafer is below 1%, the temperature uniformity is about 2%.

  • This study investigates actual conditions and awareness of employees female apparel shops within department store in seoul area. Investigating the actual conditions of the lighting indicated that the employees thought that the lighting charged much expenses to them, and the effort to improve the efficiency of current lighting was insufficient for lack of en expert knowledge on the lighting. The average space size of apparel shops were 11.7평, the light source was most frequently used fluorescent lamp and halogen lamp. The illuminance was the most highest nearby wall display(average 1089lx), and nearby hanger(average 1075lx).

  • Spodumene$(LiAlLi_2O_6)$ single crystal was grown by Floating Zone process using the image furnace having the halogen lamp as heat sources. The crystal had the dimension of 50~60mm length and 6~8mm diameter. The colors of as-grown crystals were green, black and pale green respectively. The composition of the crystal was analized by XRD and FUR measurement. Growth orientation was examined by Laue back reflection pattern and for measuring the light transmittance, OPtical transmittance was measured.

  • The photo leakage currents of a conventional hydrogenated amorphous silicon(a-Si:H) thin film transistor(TFT) were investigated and analyzed in case of illumination from various light sources such as halogen lamp, cold cathode fluorescent lamp(CCFL) backlight, and white light emitting diode(LED) backlight. The photo leakage characteristics showed the apparent differences in the leakage level and in the $I_{on}/I_{off}$ ratio in spite of the similar luminances of light sources. This leakage level is expected to be related to the wavelength of the lowest intensity peak from the spectral characteristics of light sources.

  • The Nowadays, LED head lamp has been used instead of halogen lamp at automotive head lamp. Inside this LED head lamp, there is a radiant heat panel which has the role to have the considerable influence upon LED life. As the radiant heat panel absorbs the heat from medium, the overheat of diode can prevented. in this study, the heat transfer and thermal stress are investigated according to the configuration of radiant heat panel. As the result of this study, the heat at model 1 decreases in comparison with model 2 and model 1 in design has the durability more than model 2. As the convergence technique is grafted on the design of radiant heat panel, the esthetic sense can be shown at the automotive head lamp.

  • A lamp heated LPCVD equipment has been made. Wafer is heated by an array of fifteen tungsten halogen lamps above the front side of a wafer and pyrometer views the back side of the wafer through $CaF_2$ window. Reactor which consisits of a quartz window and a water cooled-stainless steel plate can be evacuated to $5{\times}10^{-3}$ torr with a rotary vane pump. By pyrolysis of $SiH_4$ at about $600^{\circ}C$, polysilicon has been formed on the silicon dioxide film. The measured results show that thickness nonuniformity is 15% and temperature nonuniformity is 1.1%. Because activation energy of pyrolysis of $SiH_4$ is very high, about 1.8eV, small temperature variation will induce large thickness nonuniformity. The main cause of temperature nonuniformity is unsymmetry of lamp power and an unbalanced cooling structure. Charls & Evans' SIMS result shows that the oxygen content in the deposited polysilicon is comparable to that of silicon substrate but carbon content is ten times higher.

  • The internal temperature of an operating room had to keep within $20^{\circ}C$. However, the doctor who is wearing operating gown and mask caused to rise temperature because of the thermal occurrence of dental LED light source. At first, the surgery environment is getting worse. And then last, it would increase bleeding rate by the expansion of patient's exposured blood vessel. A surgical operator can distribute the patient's tissue through such surgery environment, exactly. It can do accurate surgery. So, it gave to effect that surgical operator's eye condition is getting better and it could keep a mutual assistance system. For this research, we develop the LED dental light source module of high color rendition. It performed simulation for replacing established the method of Halogen lamp and Plazma lamp of light source. We analyzed intensity of illumination and the change of viability by changing the height of light source module.

  • This study investigates the relationship between size, illumination, and display of show window. The average width, height, and depth of show windows in Taegu area were 341.3, 233.4, and 125.8cm, respectively. As light source, halogen lamp was most frequently used, followed by fluorescent lamp and incandescence lamp. In the actual illumination, however, a combined use of more than 2 light sources was common Further, a local illumination method, e. g., spot light, was generally adopted. The thought of employers and employees in fashion shops on display and illumination was examined as well. On the whole, the necessity and importance of display were well recognized but the fact that the illumination should be harmonized with other factors such as color and arrangement of goods was underestimated.

  • The present study investigated the photodegradation of synthetic organic dye; violet-3B, without and with the addition of C-N-codoped TiO2 catalyst using a visible halogen-lamp as a light source. The catalyst was synthesized by using a peroxo sol-gel method with free-organic solvent. The effects of initial dye concentration, catalyst dosage, and pH solution on the photodegradation of violet-3B were examined. The efficiency of the photodegradation process for violet-3B dye was higher at neutral to less acidic pH. The kinetics reaction rate of photodegradation of violet-3B dye with the addition of C-N-codoped TiO2 followed pseudo-first order kinetics represented by the Langmuir-Hinshelwood model, and increasing the initial concentration of dyes decreased rate constants of photodegradation. Photodegradation of 5 mg L-1 violet-3B dye achieved 96% color removal within 240 min of irradiation in the presence of C-N-codoped TiO2 catalyst, and approximately 44% TOC was removed as a result of the mineralization.

  • Recently, plasma arc curing system for curing resin composites has been introduced. This is characterized by a high output of light energy, which has the advantage of reducing the chair time and thereby making the treatment more comportable for the patients as well as for the dentist. The purpose of this study was to compare the shear bond strengths of light-cured orthodontic adhesive polymerized with conventional halogen light and plasma arc light. The 2 curing devices used were the XL3000 (3M, USA) conventional curing light and the Flipo (LOKKI, France) plasma arc light. The results from the present study can be summarized as fellows; 1. The mean shear bond strength for three groups were quite similar for 50 second conventional light group, 2 second plasma arc curing light group, 5 second plasma arc curing light group. 2. There was no statistically significant difference for three groups(p>0.05).
