A Study of Similarity between hair Styles of Chosun and france at the End of Eighteenth century (18세기 미 조성과 프랑스 두발양식의 유사성 연구)

  • This study is a thesis based on the fact that at the end of eighteenth century similar change in hair style appeared in Chosun and France which are located very far almost the opposite side of the earth. We can see that very exaggerated and big hair styles of those days in both countries became exceptionally reduced and changed to practical shapes through (an order prohibiting to make large hair style using wigs) is case of Chosun and through the France Revolution in case of France. Outwardly the abobe mentioned change may seem to be caused by such brave and outward convention as the prohibition order and the revolution. however I think that more basic cause of such change from big and splendid hair styles of those days to simple styles was because of many people's sympathy with the necessity of improving various social and economical problems caused by the luxurious and even prodigal situation of those days before the change and additionally because of such pragmatic thought as Positivism of chosun and illuminism of france. In case of france the change in hair style occurred for such a short period of time around the France Revolution(1789) that we can even that the change occurred in a day. However in case of Chosun such change became fixed at the time of king Suncho prohibiting to make large hair style using wigs (1756-1788) was announced. in case of France such change in hair style was mainly because of change of thought caused by people's self-consciousness. But in case of Chosun under the situation where common people's way of thinking about sumptuous moods and beauty was not changed unvoluntary and compulsory change was asked by the King's order so a lot of time seemed to have been necessary for the change in hair style to become fixed as a nationwide common and general custom.

Effects of Milk Thistle Oil on Chemically Damaged Hair Improvement (밀크씨슬 오일에 의한 화학적 손상모발의 개선 효과)

  • This study aimed to understand the effects on the improvement of hair texture by producing a hair texture improvement agent with milk thistle oil, and then applying it to the damaged hair. Each sample before and after application was measured. To understand the effects on the improvement of hair texture, the tensile strength, absorbance with the use of methylene blue, and gloss were measured. In the results of measuring the tensile strength to understand the effects on the improvement of hair texture, In the results of analyzing the absorbance with the use of methylene blue, the value after application was decreased than the value before application. In the results of measuring the gloss, none of the samples showed huge differences. In the results of this study, the milk thistle oil showed the effects on the texture improvement of damaged hair.

  • Several heavy metals are known to give some kinds of mental retardation although abnormal X-chromosome is closely connected with genetic disease such as mental retardation. This study dealt with the influence of minerals in the hair of mental retardation people. Minerals were analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (Sciex Elan 6100, Perkin-Elmer corporation, Foster, CA, USA). The nutritional elements such as Ca, Na, K were higher level (p<0.01) in normal group than in the mental retardation group. The toxic elements such as Cd (p<0.01) and As were higher level in the mental retardation group than in normal group. But Pb is not significant difference among the all groups including normal group.

A Study on Consumer Perception and Purchasing Conditions of Using Beauty Social Commerce (뷰티 소셜커머스 구매이용에 대한 소비자 인식과 구매행동 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the consumer perception and purchasing behaviors of beauty service products based on recent consumer purchasing patterns utilizing social commerce. The research method looked at general characteristics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability T-test, correlation analysis, one way ANOVA, regression analysis of the consumer awareness and purchasing status in the use of beauty social commerce of 228 research subjects in their 20s and 30s residing in Seoul and Gyeonggido. SPSS v. 21.0 was used. The results found the following. First, service quality, interaction, user convenience, and price were set as factors for the validity verification of consumer perception in beauty social commerce. Second, as a result of studying consumer perception regarding beauty social commerce, interaction had the largest correlation while price, service quality, and user convenience followed. As a result of studying the differences according to the general characteristic of gender, user convenience had a larger correlation for female consumers than male consumers. Third, the following was the result of studying purchasing behaviors in beauty social commerce. Among diverse social commerce businesses, Pokemon was the most popular, while among the various coupons available, hair salons were most commonly purchased. The modal value for the number of times consumers used beauty service products was two times a month, and the most popular price ranges were 100,000 KRW or less and 100,000~200,000 KRW. Accordingly, it was observed that social commerce is receiving attention and being considered as the next generation for shopping in the beauty industry. This channel should be well utilized by related industries through the improvement of customer satisfaction, which will lead to repurchases, and consequently result in becoming an actual means for sales in the beauty industry.

  • In this paper, We would research and analysis for actual beauty information condition in Korea on the end of July 2004. We make an investigation into 3 beauty subject that Web service were operated by 100% regular school education. 15.5% Private school in 363 teaching institutions, 8.74% of 767 material dealers, 0.38% of 77,546 beauty salons. There are 12 companies of client management program and 3 hair changing programs. It bring to be few of technical beauty information data and creature value added that lack of full-time lecturer, according1y, KBMC and Ministry of Health & Welfare would constitute beauty information commit that make connection of each 3 beauty subjects and web database for technical beauty information data. As a result of unification and communization for beauty information system. It should be take synergy effect for Korean Beauty.

  • Make-up illustration is a field of creativity with visible creative and artistic values; its ultimate functions include communication of information, artistic expression, and recording. Establishing the make-up illustration education environment for the twenty-first century, there is an urgent need for research and development of professional curricula for basic art education and illustration education. It is extremely important for educators and institutions teaching make-up illustration to recognize that training of highly creative and professional beau designers through systematic educational structures is the ultimate foundation for enhancing competitiveness of the beauty industry despite the present reality that there are insufficient studies and publications on beauty illustration and that there is lack of illustration lecturers and artists equipped with professional beauty knowledge. Therefore, this study was conducted to research and analyze offering of illustration subjects by 160 beauty-related vocational schools and 16 4-year undergraduate colleges in the make-up field, which is the field with most creative art activities among the three representative beauty majors, namely make-up, hair, and skin. Education of make-up illustration must not remain as simple short-term education. The curricula must be specialized for providing solid foundation of basic majors. In terms of education content, strong emphases must be made for original and creative mark-up designs as well as purposes, functions, and necessity of make-up design and illustration. The curricula must include systematic, logical and artistic elements. Through the course of this study, which researched, analyzed and proposed measures for education content of make-up illustration, it was found that make-up illustration is the most appropriate subject that fulfills both the ultimate education objectives of beauty colleges and the demand by the society for beauty professionals. It is hoped that make-up illustration is emphasized and recognized for its importance and necessity as an education subject so that similar basic major subjects will further be researched and developed for specialized education.

The Effect Chemyon Sensitivity on Wedding Beauty Consumption Behavior (체면민감성이 웨딩미용 소비성향에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Chemyon(social-face) on wedding consumption behavior. To perform this study, the questionnaires were administered to 305 women in seoul and the data were analyzed by Frequency, Factor Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis. In the result of factors analysis, Chemyon factors were divided into being formal, being conscious of other people, and being ashamed. Consumption behaviors were divided into pursuit of high quality, pursuit of individuality, pursuit of actual profit, and pursuit of fashion. In the result of this study, the more people give an account of formality, the more they behave pursuit of high quality and the less they behave pursuit of individuality and fashion. The more they make much importance of being conscious of other people, the more they pursue consumption of individuality and fashion. Also the more high consumption of fashion, the less they have being conscious of other people. Therefore we can find through this study that Chemyon has an influence on wedding-beauty consumption behavior.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal that the deconstructive dis de phenomenon in contemporary fashion beauty design can be interpreted from the viewpoint of Korean aesthetics by having an open mind of coexistence. The typical characteristics of dis de phenomenon are decomposition, decentralization, and discontinuity, and these can be compared with beauty of non-artificialness, unity, and humor, which are characteristics of Korean aesthetics. In other words, the dis de-phenomenon rejects traditional composition and uniformized expression, and seeks various images by accepting the bi-national confrontation concept, this is similar to Korean aesthetics, which experienced atypical diversity by concentrating on the inner spirit rather than the outer form through indifference to technique, form, and honest human emotion.

A Study on the Convergence Marketing of Pursuing Value and Beauty Service in Accordance with Men's Acceptance of Information about Beauty Care (남성들의 외모관리 정보수용도에 따른 추구가치와 뷰티서비스 융합마케팅 연구)

  • With much changes in men's appearance style to pursue, beauty care activities, and pursuing value, it has been required to have researches on it. This study analyzed men's acceptance of information about beauty care and also the characteristics of each pursuing value. An online survey was conducted targeting about 500 male office workers in Seoul. In the results of the study, the pursuit of the practical value of five beauty care activities was the highest while the aesthetic value was very differently shown in accordance with the types of beauty care activities, compared to two other values. Contrary to other styles, especially, the acceptance of the skin care style was influenced by the sociocultural value, practical value, and aesthetic value. Especially, the passivity of the aesthetic value and the emphasis on the practical and sociocultural values were shown. The hair care was influenced by the practical value while the plastic surgery was influenced by the aesthetic value. In the care style area, the acceptance of skin care was only influenced by the pursuit of complex values. Regarding the marketing of each care style, the large-scale marketing campaign would be effective for the hair care while it would be necessary to seek for more aesthetic campaigns for the plastic surgery business.

Effect of Post-treatment Using Acidic Amino Acids during Hair Coloring on Hair Condition (산성 아미노산 후처리가 헤어컬러링 시 모발에 미치는 영향)

  • Modern people express their beauty through hair coloring, but hair can be damaged by repeated chemical treatments. In order to increase the durability of dyeing and minimize the hair damage, in this study, the acidic amino acids including aspartic acid (Asp) and glutamic acid (Glu) were used to post-treat hair during hair coloring. The post-treatment with 0.75% Asp and Glu solution was carried out at room temperature for 20 minutes after dyeing bleached hair with cherry red and blue silver colors. After repeated shampooing of 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 times, L*a*b* value of dyed hair was measured to confirm the dyeing durability, and the changes in tensile strength, porosity, and surface properties of the hair were also analyzed to determine the condition of the hair. In the case of cherry red and blue silver staining, the Asp and Glu experimental group showed higher color persistence than the control group, and the Asp and Glu experimental group showed higher tensile strength, lower porosity and smooth surface properties than the control group. In particular, the Asp test group showed superior color persistence and lower hair damage than the Glu test group. This study, therefore, if damaged in dyeing and bleaching in the field of hair after treatment with asp glu a combination of hair cosmetics in the development of basic data look forward to be.
