Design of Hybrid Debugging Technique for Locating Logical Errors in Java Source Codes (자바 원시 코드에서 논리적인 오류를 찾는 복합 디버깅 기술의 설계)

  • In the previous work, we presented HDT for locating logical errors in Java programs. The HDT locates an erroneous method at an execution tree using an algorithmic program debugging technique and locates a statement with errors in the erroneous method using a step-wise program debugging. It reduced the number of programmer debugging in Java programs. But the HDT still increases the number of debugging because the size of the recent programs increases than the past programs and the number of methods is increasing. This paper proposes HDTS using a program slicing technique (PST) at the MDT. HDTS can reduce the number of programmer debugging. Specially, the more the number of methods and statements increases, the more HDTS has effects.

Study on Antitumor Activity of Hongsamdaibotang(HDT-C) (홍삼대보탕(紅蔘大補湯)의 항암활성(抗癌活性) 및 항전이(抗轉移) 효과(效果)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • To evaluate the antitumor activity and antimetastatic effects of Hongsam -daibotang(HDT-C), studies were done experimentally. The results were obtained as follows: 1. In cytotoxicity against A549, SK-OV-3 and B16-BL6 concentration inhibi ting cell growth up to below 30% of control was recognized at $10^{-3}g/ml$ of HDT-C. 2. The T/C% was 145.4% in HDT-C treated group in S-180 bearing ICR mice. 3. In Inhibitory effect on activity of DNA topoisomerase I, the $IC_{50}$ was shown $100-200{\mu}g/ml$ of HDT-C. 4. The expressing $TNF-{\alpha}$ was increased in HDT-C treated group as compared with control. 5. The expressing MMP-9 was decreased in HDT-C treated group as compared with control. 6. HDT-C extracts exhibited efficient adhesive effect of A549, B16-BL6 cell to complex extracellular matrix. 7. In CAM assays, angiogenesis was significantly inhibited in HDT-C treated group than control group. 8. In pumonary colonization assay, a number of colonies in the lungs were decreased significantly in HDT-C treated group as compared with control group. 9. In hematological changes in B16-BL6 injected C57BL/6, numbers of WBC and were decreased insignificantly and also those of platelet were increased insignificantly in HDT-C treated group as compared with control. 10. In the histological changes of lung in B16-BL6 injected mice, infiltration of cancer cells were inhibited effectively in HDT-C treated groups whereas many cancer cells were infiltrated into erivascular and peribronchiol of control group. These results suggested that HDT-C extracts might be usefully applied for prevention and treatment of cancer.

Anti-Allergic Effect of Handayeolso-Tang (한다열소탕(寒多熱少湯)의 항Allergy 및 항염증 효과)

  • Handayeolso-Tang(HDT) has been used as traditional medicine for the treatment of Taeumin TaeYang-Hanguel. The present study was conducted to investigate the anti-allergic activity of Handayeolso-Tang(HDT). We investigated the anti-allergic effects of HDT in RBL-2H3 basophilic leukemia cells by compound48/80, a mast cell degranulator and compound 48/80 induced anaphylactic shock in mice. HDT significantly inhibited ${\beta}-hexosaminidase$ and histamine release from compound 48/80 stimulated RBL-2H3 cells. In addition, HDT effectively inhibited anaphylactic shock in mice by 45% at a dose 120 mg/mouse versus PBS treated control after the I.p injection(8 mg/kg) of compound 48/80. The in vitro anti-inflammatory activities of HDT in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells were investigated. HDT inhibited NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells and effectively dowregulated the expression of iNOS mRNA and iNOS protein expression in LPS -stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. These result provide evidences that HDT may be beneficial in the treatment of allergic inflammtory disease.

The Effect of Hwangryunhaedoktang on Proliferations of Various Human Cancer Cells (황련해독탕이 수종의 인간 암세포 증식에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives The aim of this study is to investigate whether hwang-ryun-haedok-tang (HDT) affect proliferations of androgen-dependent LNCaP prostate cancer cells, androgen-independent PC-3, DU-145 prostate cancer cells, MCF-7 human breast cancer cells, A549, NCI-H292 human pulmonary cancer cells and K-562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cells. Materials and Methods Effects of HDT on proliferations of each cancer cell line were investigated. 20,000 cells/well were plated in each well of 96-well culture plate. After 24 hrs, 0.01-10% of HDT in culture medium was added to cancer cells. The number of cells was counted by using SRB assay or direct cell counting method after 72 hours from drug treatment. Effect of baicalein or berebrine on proliferation was assessed according to the same method. Results (1) HDT inhibited proliferations of LNCaP, PC-3 and DU-145 prostate cancer cells. (2) HDT inhibited proliferation of MCF-7 breast cancer cells. (3) HDT also inhibited proliferations of A549, NCI-H292 pulmonary cancer cells and K-562 chronic myelogenous leukemia cells. (4) Baicalein and berberine also showed inhibitory effects on proliferations of prostate and breast cancer cells. Conclusion : HDT inhibited proliferations of human prostate, breast, pulmonary and blood cancer cells. These results suggest us the potential use of HDT as a chemopreventive or chemotherapeutic agent. Effect of HDT on human cancer should be further investigated using in vivo experimental models that can reflect pathophysiology of human cancer through another studies.

Histone Deacetylase 701 (HDT701) Induces Flowering in Rice by Modulating Expression of OsIDS1

  • Rice is a facultative short-day (SD) plant in which flowering is induced under SD conditions or by other environmental factors and internal genetic programs. Overexpression of Histone Deacetylase 701 (HDT701) accelerates flowering in hybrid rice. In this study, mutants defective in HDT701 flowered late under both SD and long-day conditions. Expression levels of florigens Heading date 3a (Hd3a) and Rice Flowering Locus T1 (RFT1), and their immediate upstream floral activator Early heading date 1 (Ehd1), were significantly decreased in the hdt701 mutants, indicating that HDT701 functions upstream of Ehd1 in controlling flowering time. Transcript levels of OsINDETERMINATE SPIKELET 1 (OsIDS1), an upstream repressor of Ehd1, were significantly increased in the mutants while those of OsGI and Hd1 were reduced. Chromatin-immunoprecipitation assays revealed that HDT701 directly binds to the promoter region of OsIDS1. These results suggest that HDT701 induces flowering by suppressing OsIDS1.

Influence of Hypoxic Exercise at Head Down Tilt on Cardiovascular Responses (머리하향기울기 자세에서 운동 중 저산소호흡이 심혈관계반응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of hypoxic exercise at head down tilt (HDT) on cardiovascular responses. Eight men ($23{\pm}2$ yrs, $176{\pm}4$ cm, and $75{\pm}8$ kg) underwent four separate exercise testing sessions; seated normoxia (SN), seated hypoxia (SH), HDT normoxia (HN), and HDT hypoxia (HH). Each participant performed the leg cycling at predetermined 40% of maximal aerobic capacity relevant to each posture for 15 min. Heart rate was higher in SH than SN and higher also in HH than SH (p<0.05). Blood oxygen saturation was lower in SH than SN (p<0.05). During resting, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure was significantly lower in HDT than seated posture (p<0.05). No differences were found between conditions in hemoglobin and hematocrit and electrolytes including, sodium, potassium, and chloride. Lactate was higher in SH than SN. In conclusion, there was no effect for cardiovascular responses to duplicate stimuli both hypoxia and posture.

A Soft Demapping Method for 64-APSK in the DVB-S3 System (DVB-S3 시스템의 64-APSK 방식에 대한 연판정 비트 검출 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a soft demapping method for 64-ary APSK in the DVB-S3 system. The proposed method in this paper uses the hard decision threshold (HDT) line for each constituent bit in a symbol, and calculates the soft bit information with the distance between the HDT line and the detected symbol. If the HDT lines are defined in a simple manner, the complexity to estimate soft information can be largely reduced compared with the maximum likelihood detection (MLD) which has an exponential complexity. By considering this, we first derive HDT lines for each constituent bit for a 64-APSK symbol, and propose a method to calculate soft bit information. We simulate the BER performance of the proposed scheme by using a turbo codes which requires soft-input-soft-output information, and compare it that of the MLD. The result show that the proposed scheme produces approximating performance to MLD with largely reduced complexity.

The Effects of Treadmill Training on Neurotrophins and Immediately Early Protein in Obese Rats (트레드밀 트레이닝이 비만 쥐의 neurotrophins와 초기발현 단백질에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the biological effect of obesity-induced oxidative damage on neurogenesis and early protein expression. Obesity was induced I thirty 4-week old male Sprague-Dawley rats through a high fat diet for 15 weeks. After one week of environmental adaptation, the rats were divided into 2 groups: high fat diet sedentary group (HDS, n=15) and high fat diet training group (HDT, n=15). Exercise training was performed 5 times a week for 8 weeks, with mild-intensity treadmill running for weeks 1-4 and moderate-intensity treadmill running for weeks 5-8. After the 8 week training period, we analyzed lipid profiles, serum 8-hydroxyguanosine (8-OHdG), liver tissue malondialdehyde (MDA) related to oxidative damage factors, nerve growth factor (NGF), brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), c-fos, c-jun, and extracellular signal regulated kinase (Erk) in the hippocampus. The results of this study are as follows. There were differences between HDS and HDT in triglyceride (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) (p<0.05). In high density lipoprotein (HDL-c), the HDT was higher than HDS after treadmill training (p<0.05). In 8-OHdG, the HDT was lower than HDS after treadmill training (p<0.05). Genetic expressions of c-jun, BDNF and MDA in the HDT were higher than in the HDS after treadmill training in hippocampus (p<0.05). Therefore, we conclude that 8 weeks of treadmill training can improve imbalanced lipid profiles, reduce oxidative damage, and activate neurogenesis in obese rats.

Thermotropic Liquid Crystal Polymer Reinforced Poly(butylene terephthalate) Composites to Improve Heat Distortion Temperature and Mechanical Properties

  • Thermotropic liquid crystal polymer (TLCP)-reinforced poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) composites were prepared by melt processing. The improvement in the mechanical properties and the processability of the PBT/TLCP composites was attributed to the reinforcing effect by TLCP phase and its well distribution in the PBT matrix. X-ray diffraction results demonstrated that a slow cooling process leads to the thicker lamellar structures and the formation of more regular crystallites in the composites. The incorporation of TLCP improves not only the tensile strength and flexural modulus but also the heat distortion temperature (HDT) of the PBT/TLCP composites. The HDT values of the composites were dependent on TLCP content. The improvement in the HDT values of the PBT/TLCP composites may be explained in terms with the increased flexural modulus, the development of more regular crystalline structures, and the enhancement of the ability of the composites to sustain the storage modulus by TLCP phase. In addition, the simple additivity rule makes it possible to predict the HDT values of the PBT/TLCP composites.

Analysis of Peroxide Curing Agents in EVA Compounds and Vulcanizates

  • Poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) compounds and vulcanizates containing dicumyl peroxide (DCP) (HD) were prepared, and the curing agent and reaction products were analyzed using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Samples containing trially cyanurate (TAC) and DCP (HDT) were also prepared and analyzed. Some raw DCP were decomposed in the injector region of GC to produce acetophenone. DCP was detected in the HD compound but was not observed in the HD vulcanizate, and instead acetophenone and 2-phenyl-2-propanol were detected. Both DCP and TAC were observed in the HDT compound but not in the HDT vulcanizate, where acetophenone and 2-phenyl-2-propanol were detected. Thus, some of the DCP decomposed during the compounding process. The formation mechanism for acetophenone and 2-phenyl-2-propanol during the crosslinking reaction was identified, and differences in the crosslinking reactions of HD and HDT compounds were discussed.
