As part of a larger study of indigenous prokaryotic species diversity in South Korea, various samples from Namhangang were subjected to analyses. Fresh water, underwater sediment, and moss-inhabiting aerobic and anaerobic bacteria were isolated. 22 of the isolates were identified as unrecorded bacterial species in Korea that had ${\geq}98.7%$ 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with published species. The aerobic strains isolated were Kurthia gibsonii and Massilia plicata. Also identified were four facultative anaerobic strains: Bacillus hisashii, Enterococcus rotai, Paenibacillus vini, and Pediococcus pentosaceus. 16 strictly anaerobic strains were identified as Bacteroides xylanolyticus, Carnobacterium maltaromaticum, Clostridium argentinense, Clostridium beijerinckii, Clostridium butyricum, Clostridium cavendishii, Clostridium diolis, Clostridium frigidicarnis, Clostridium perfringens, Clostridium saccharoperbutylacetonicum, Clostridium sphenoides, Clostridium subterminale, Cutibacterium acnes, Paraclostridium bifermentans, Prevotella paludivivens, and Romboutsia lituseburensis. Based on the examination of morphological, cultural, physiological, and biochemical properties of the isolates, descriptive information of these previously unrecorded species is provided here.

본 논문은 현재 영역 별로 파편화된 여러 O2O(Online to Offline) 서비스들을 통합적으로 제공하기 위해 자연어를 통한 NUI(Natural User Interface)를 개발하여 사용자가 명시한 상품 정보의 항목을 자동으로 분류하고자 한다. 이를 위해 e-commerce 도메인 정보 학습에 적합한 나이브 베이즈 분류(Naive Bayes Classifier) 알고리즘을 사용한다. 학습에는 미국 e-commerce 사이트 Groupon의 상품 정보와 분류 체계를 사용하며, 학습 데이터의 특징을 분석하여 상품 정보에 특화된 학습 데이터 정제 및 TF-IDF(Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency)를 통한 단어 별 가중치를 적용하여 알고리즘의 정확도를 향상시킨다.

A sperm factor(s) for oocyte activation during fertilization has not been clearly identified. In this study to elucidate an oocyte activation factor(s), mouse sperm were sonicated and ultra-filtered with a 30 kilo-daltons (KD) cutoff membrane and the ultra-filtrate was then sequentially fractionated over Suporose 12 column and Superdex column, The recovered fractions were micro-injected into Mⅱmouse oocytes and second polar body formation (PBF) was examined. Suporose fraction RV2.10 prepared from sperm extract significantly increased PBF. Of Superdex fractions re-separated from Suporose fraction RV2.10, fraction RV2.12 also had the strongest PBF activity. By analyzing with micro-reverse phase column (URPC), the Superdex fraction RV2.12 appeared to be glutamic acid. In microinjection test, glutamic acid significantly increased PBF. This study suggests that glutamic acid should be a type of sperm factor for second polar body formation related to oocyte activation.

A 33-year-old Korean man visited a medical clinic with complaints of throat discomfort and pain for one week. The symptoms occurred one day after eating raw brackish water fish, perch. Endoscopy revealed a fluke, about 5 mm in length, attaching to and peristaltically moving on the surface of the mucosa at the arytenoid region of the larynx. Microscopically, the testes were triangular, tandem, and separated by the uterus. The ovary and cirrus pouch were placed apart from median line between testes. Numerous blood cells were observed in the ceca. The worm was identified to be Clinostomum complanatum. This is the second human case of clinostomiasis in Korea.

In this paper we study consumption-labor supply decision of an agent who prepares for retirement at a known time in the future. The agent is assumed to have a preference which is represented by the von Neumann-Morgenstern utility function in which the felicity function has constant relative risk aversion over the composite of consumption and leisure. The composite is obtained by the Cobb-Douglas function. A general problem has been studied by Bodie et al. (2004). We contribute to the literature by deriving the Slutsky equations and conducting comparative statics. In particular, we show that wealth effect can exhibit an interesting property depending upon the time until retirement, as the interest rate increases.

Poly(A) polymerase (PAP) play an essential role for maturation of mRNA by adding the adenylate residues at the 3' end. PAP functions are regulated through protein-protein interaction at its C-terminal region. In this study, cyclophilin A (CypA), a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase family, was identified as a partner protein interacting with the C-terminal region PAP. The interaction between PAP and CypA was inhibited by the immunosuppressive drug cyclosporine A. Deletion analysis revealed that the N-terminal 56 residues of CypA are sufficient for the interaction with PAP. Interestingly, we observed that PAP and CypA colocalize in the nucleus during SDF-1-induced chemotaxis, implying that CypA could be involved in the regulation of polyadenylation by PAP in the chemotactic cells.

Objectives : Ceramic based intra-red Therapy has been effective on dermatitis and immune system. The purpose of this study was to know the clinical effect of ceramic based infra-red therapy on Atopic Dermatitis(AD). Methods: For 3 months from Dec. 2003 to Feb. 2004, we treated ceramic based intra-red therapy to 21 outpatients with AD who visited Hana Oriental hospital. Ceramic based infra-red therapy using GI-2000 system was lighted to undressed outpatients for 15 minutes, three times a week. Results and Conclusions: Ceramic based intra-red therapy showed useful effect on AD, especially itching sign.

This paper is done by studying two experimental cases which utilize the stochastic theory of Markov Chains, which is used for forecasting the future and by analyzing recent trend of studies. Since the study of Markov Chains is not applied to the Informetrics to a high degree in Korea. It is also proposed that there is a necessity for further study on Markov Chains and its activation.

The effects of protein kinase C inhibitors, chelerythrine and bisindolylmaleimide I, on acetylcholine activated $K^{＋}$ currents ( $I_{KACh}$) were examined in atrial myocytes of mice using patch clamp technique. Chelerythrine and bisindolylmaleimide I inhibited $I_{KACh}$ in reversible and dose-dependent manners. Half maximal effective concentrations were 0.49 $\pm$ 0.01 $\mu$M for chelerythrine and 98.69 $\pm$ 12.68 nM for bisindolylmaleimide I.(omitted)

In order to investigate the indigenous prokaryotic species diversity of the Nakdong River system in Korea, fresh water samples from Hapcheonho Lake and Jinyangho Lake were analyzed for bacterial taxonomic diversity. The isolated bacterial strains were identified based on 16S rRNA gene sequences, and those exhibiting at least 98.7% sequence similarity with known bacterial species, but never reported in Korea, were selected as unrecorded species. Eleven unrecorded bacterial species were discovered in this study. The isolates were identified as Aquabacterium citratiphilum, Clostridium ghonii, Curvibacter delicates, Deinococcus depolymerans, Eubacterium moniliforme, Flavobacterium nitrogenifigens, Kineosporia mesophila, Luteibacter jiangsuensis, Microbacterium terricola, Rhizobium larrymoorei, and Sediminicoccus rosea belonging to the phyla Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria and Deinococcus-Thermus. The selected isolates were further characterized for cellular and colonial morphologies, growth conditions, physiological properties, and enzymatic activities. Descriptive information of these previously unrecorded species is also provided.
