마그네트론 스퍼터링법에 의해 합성되어진 비정질 탄소박막들의 구조적, 물리적 특성 (Physical and Structural Properties of Amorphous Carbon Films Synthesized by Magnetron Sputtering Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 비정질 탄소박막들(a-C, a-C:H, a-C:N)을 흑연타겟이 부착되어진 비대칭 마그네트론 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 증착하였으며, 음의 DC 바이어스 전압의 효과를 알아보기 위해 증착가스 압력내에서 200 V를 인가하여 탄소박막들을 제작하였다. 수소화된 비정질 탄소박막과 질화탄소박막은 각각 스퍼터링 가스로써 아세틸렌과 질소를 주입하여 제작하였다. 결과적으로 26.5 GPa의 높은경도와 0.1 nm의 낮은 거칠기 그리고 접착력은 30.5 N를 가지는 수소화된 비정질 탄소박막을 합성하였으며, 32 N의 좋은 접착 특성을 나타내는 질화 탄소 박막을 합성하였다. 본 논문에서는 아세틸렌과 질소 가스의 효과와 음의 DC 바이어스 전압에 따른 비정질 탄소박막들의 구조적 특성과 물리적 특성과의 관계를 규명하였다.

Synthesis of Nanorod g-C3N3/Ag3PO4 Composites and Photocatalytic Activity for Removing Organic Dyes under Visible Light Condition

  • Nanorod graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) was synthesized by reacting melamine (C3H6N6) with trithiocyanuric acid (C3H3N3S3) in distilled water for 10 h at room temperature. The resulting mixture was calcined at 550℃ for 2 h in an electric furnace under an air atmosphere. Nanorod g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 composites were prepared by adding nanorod graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) powder, silver nitrate (AgNO3), ammonia (NH3·H2O, 25.0-30.0%), and sodium hydrogen phosphate (Na3HPO4) to distilled water. The samples were characterized via X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activities of the nanorod g-C3N4/Ag3PO4 composites were demonstrated via the degradation of organic dyes, such as methylene blue and methyl orange, under blue light-emitting diode irradiation and evaluated using UV-vis spectrophotometry.

Isomerization and Dissociation of the Acrylonitrile Radical Cation: A Theoretical Study

  • The potential energy surface (PES) for the isomerizations and dissociations of the acrylonitrile radical cation was determined from the CBS-QB3 and CBS-APNO calculations. The Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-Marcus model calculations were performed based on the PES in order to predict the competitions among the dissociation channels. The mechanisms for the loss of $H^{\bullet}$, $H_2$, $CN^{\bullet}$, HCN, and HNC were proposed. The $C_3H_2N^+$ ion formed by loss of $H^{\bullet}$ was predicted as a mixture of $CH{\equiv}C-C=NH^+$, $CH{\equiv}C-N{\equiv}CH^+$, and $CH_2=C-C{\equiv}N^+$. Furthermore $CH{\equiv}C-C{\equiv}N^{+{\bullet}}$ was formed mainly by a consecutive 1,2-H shift and 1,2-H2 elimination.

Molecular Motions of [N(C2H5)4]+ and [N(CH3)4]+ ions by 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Relaxation in [N(C2H5)4]2CoCl4 and [N(CH3)4]2CoCl4 Single Crystals

  • The line widths and spin-lattice relaxation times of protons in $[N(C_2H_5)_4]_2CoCl_4$ and $[N(CH_3)_4]_2CoCl_4$ single crystals were investigated in the temperature range 160-400 K. The temperature dependences of the spin-lattice relaxation times are attributed to the molecular motions of the ethyl and methyl groups in the $[N(C_2H_5)_4]^+$ and $[N(CH_3)_4]^+$ ions respectively. The NMR line widths indicate that the ethyl groups in $[N(C_2H_5)_4]_2CoCl_4$ have one more degree of freedom than the methyl groups in $[N(CH_3)_4]_2CoCl_4$. The experimental results are interpreted in terms of the reorientations of the methyl and ethyl groups.

  • P. oleovorans의 유가식 배양에서 탄소원으로 octanoic acid, 질소원으로 $NH_4NO_3$를 이용한 혼합기질을 배양액의 pH 변화에 따라 공급하는 pH-stat 기질공급전략을 개발하였다. 공급기질의 탄소원/질소원 비 (C/N 비)를 변화시킴으로써 최종 균체농도, PHA 농도, PHA 함량 등을 변화시킬 수 있었으며, 최대 균체농도는 C/N 비가 10 (g octanoic acid/g $NH_4NO_3$)일 때 65 g/L, 최대 PHA 농도는 C/N 비가 20일 때 41 g/L, 최대 PHA 함량은 C/N 비가 20일 때 75%였으며 최대 PHA 생산성은 C/N 비가 10일 때 1.03 g/L/h였다.

  • Let n denote an integer greater than 2 and let c denote a nonzero complex number. In this paper, we introduce a family of elements of the rational Cherednik algebra $H^{sl_n}(c)$ of type $sl_n$, which are analogous to the Dunkl-Cherednik elements of the rational Cherednik algebra $H^{gl_n}(c)$ of type $gl_n$. We also introduce the raising and lowering element of $H^{sl_n}(c)$ which are useful in the representation theory of the algebra $H^{sl_n}(c)$, and provide simple results related to these elements.

  • Synthesis of high purity ultrafine Si3N4 and ${\beta}$-Sialon powders was investigated via the simultaneous reduction and nitriding of amorphous SiO2, SiO2-Al2O3 system prepaerd by hydrolysis of alkoxides, using carbonablack as a reducing agent. In Si(OC2H5)4-C2H5 OH-H2 O-NH4OH system, hydrolysis rate increased with increasing reaction temperature and pH. Pure ${\alpha}$-Si3N4 was formed at 1350$^{\circ}C$ for 5 hrs in N2 atmosphere. In Si(OC2H5)4-Al(OC3H7)3-C6H6-H2 O-NH4OH system, weight loss increased as Si/Al ratio decreased. Single phase ${\beta}$-Sialon consisted of Si/Al=2 was formed at 1350$^{\circ}C$ in N2 and minor phases of ${\alpha}$-Si3N4, AIN, and X-phase were existed besides theSialon phase at other Si/Al ratios. The Si3N4 and Sialon powders synthesized from alkoxides consisted of uniform find particles of 0.05-0.2$\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter, respectively.

  • A number of sedative alkaloids were isolated from Sanjoin(酸棗仁), the seeds of Zizyphus vulgaris Lamark var. spinosus Bunge (Rhamnaceae) which is an important Chinese medicinal material used to treat insomnia and sometimes to treat sleepiness. Those compounds were designated as Sanjoinine-A, B, C, D, etc. depending on the order of increasing polarity. Sanjoinine-A, $C_{31}H_{42}N_4O_4$, $mp\;249^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{27}_D-316$, Sanjoinine-B, $C_{30}H_{40}N_4O_4$, $mp\;212{\sim}4^{\circ}$, Sanjoinene, $C_{29}H_{35}N_3O_4$, $mp\;281{\sim}2^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{22}_D-272$, Sanjoinine-D, $C_{32}H_{46}N_4O_5$, $mp\;256{\sim}8^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{22}_D-53.6$, Sanjoinine-F, $C_{31}H_{42}N_4O_5$, $mp\;228{\sim}9^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{22}_D-215$, and $Sanjoinine-G_1,\;C_{31}H_{44}N_4O_5,\;mp\;236{\sim}8^{\circ},\;[{\alpha}]^{22}_D-68.6$, were found as 14-membered cyclic peptide alkaloids, $Sanjoinine-G_2,\;C_{30}H_{42}N_4O_4,\;mp\;182^{\circ},\;[{\alpha}]^{22}_D-79.2$, as being open chain peptide alkaloid, and Sanjoinine-E, $C_{19}H_{21}NO_2$, $mp\;166^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{20}_D-146.2$, N-Methylasimilobine, $C_{18}H_{19}NO_2$, $mp\;193{\sim}5^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{20}_D-204$, Sanjoinine-Ia, $C_{18}H_{19}NO_2$, $mp\;155{\sim}7^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{20}_D-140$, Sanjoinine-Ib, $C_{19}H_{21}NO_4$, $mp\;184^{\circ}$, Sanjoinine-K, $C_{16}H_{19}NO_3$, $mp\;159{\sim}61^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{20}_D+35$, Caaverine, $C_{17}H_{17}NO_2$, $mp\;204^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{20}_D-80$, and Zizyphusine, $C_{20}H_{24}NO_4$, $mp\;214{\sim}6^{\circ}$, $[{\alpha}]^{20}_D+317$ as being aporphine alkaloids. The heat treatment of the cyclic peptide alkaloids produced their isomeric products which showed enhanced sedative activity. The chemical structure of the isomeric products will be discussed.

BIRECURRENT HYPERSURFACES OF A RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLD WITH CONSTANT CURVATURE

  • Let M be a hypersurface of dimension n(.geq.2) in an (n+1)-dimensional real space form over bar M(c) with constant curvature c and H the second fundamental tensor of M. M is said to be birecurrent if here exists a covariant tensor field .alpha. of order 2 such that .del.$^{2}$H=H .alpha., where .del. is the connection of M. Also, M is said to be recurrent if there exists a 1-form .betha. such that .del.H=H .betha.. Matsuyama [2] recently proved that a recurrent hypersurface M in a real space form is locally symmetric and a complete irreducible birecurrent hypersurface M in a real space form is recurrent. The main purpose of this paper is to characterize the birecurrent or recurrent hypersurface M of a Riemannian manifold with constant curvature c and to prove that M is classified as a cylinder, $M^{n}$ (c) or ( $c_{1}$)* $M^{n-r}$ ( $c_{2}$) where 1/ $c_{1}$+1/ $c_{2}$=1/c.

Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Activity of Zirconium (IV) Complexes

  • Heteroleptic complexes of zirconium (IV) derived from bulky Schiff base ligands containing a sulphur atom and oximes of heterocyclic ${\beta}$-diketones of the general formula ZrLL' (where $LH_2=RCNH(C_6H_4)SC:C(OH)N(C_6H_5)N:CCH_3$, $R=-C_6H_5$, $-C_6H_4Cl(p)$ and $L^{\prime}H_2=R^{\prime}C:(NOH)C:C(OH)N(C_6H_5)N:CCH_3$, $R^{\prime}=-CH_2CH_3$, $-C_6H_5$, $-C_6H_4Cl(p)$ were prepared by the reactions of zirconium tetrachloride with disodium salts of Schiff bases ($L\;Na_2$) and oximes of heterocyclic ${\beta}$-diketones ($L^{\prime}\;Na_2$) in 1:1:1 molar ratio in dry refluxing THF. The structures of these monomeric zirconium (IV) complexes were elucidated with the help of elemental analysis, molecular weight measurements, spectroscopic (IR, NMR and mass) studies. A distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry may be suggested for these heteroleptic zirconium (IV) complexes. The ligands (bulky Schiff base ligands containing a sulphur atom and oximes of heterocyclic ${\beta}$-diketones) and their heteroleptic complexes of zirconium (IV) were screened against A. flavus, P. aeruginesa and E. coli.
