5.2 GHz 무선 LAN의 전자파 환경 대책용 전파흡수체에 관한 연구 (A Study on EM Wave Absorber for Electromagnetic Wave Environment of Wireless LAN at 5.2 GHz)

  • 최근 빠르고 편리하게 데이터 송수신이 가능한 무선LAN은 가정, 사무실 등 다양한 장소에서 사용이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 실내에서 무선LAN을 사용할 경우 천장, 벽, 바닥, 책상 등에서의 반사파에 의한 다중반사가 발생하여 데이터 전송의 오류 및 성능 저하의 주된 원인이 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 Graphite의 특성을 분석하고 최적의 조성비를 찾아내서 무선LAN 환경에 적합한 전파흡수체를 연구하였다. 먼저 Graphite와 지지재인 CPE(Chlorinated Polyethylene)를 이용하여 조성비별 전파흡수체 샘플을 제작하고, 각 샘플의 반사계수를 측정하였다. 측정된 데이터로부터 재료정수를 계산하고, 전파흡수체를 설계 및 제작하여 전파흡수능을 비교, 분석 하였다. 그 결과 조성비가 Graphite : CPE=50:50 wt%이고, 두께 1.7 mm 인 전파흡수체가 5.2 GHz에서 27 dB 이상의 전파흡수능을 가지는 우수한 전파흡수체를 개발하였다.

평판형 전개판의 3차원 운동 모델링 (Modeling of flat otter boards motion in three dimensional space)

  • Otter boards in the trawl are the one of essential equipments for the net mouth to be spread to the horizontal direction. Its performance should be considered in the light of the spreading force to the drag and the stability of towing in the water. Up to the present, studies of the otter boards have focused mainly on the drag and lift force, but not on the stability of otter boards movement in 3 dimensional space. In this study, the otter board is regarded as a rigid body, which has six degrees of freedom motion in three dimensional coordinate system. The forces acting on the otter boards are the underwater weight, the resistance of drag and spread forces and the tension on the warps and otter pendants. The equations of forces were derived and substituted into the governing equations of 6 degrees of freedom motion, then the second order of differential equations to the otter boards were established. For the stable numerical integration of this system, Backward Euler one of implicit methods was used. From the results of the numerical calculation, graphic simulation was carried out. The simulations were conducted for 3 types of otter boards having same area with different aspect ratio(${\lambda}=0.5,\;1.0,\;1.5$). The tested gear was mid-water trawl and the towing speed was 4k't. The length of warp was 350m and all conditions were same to each otter board. The results of this study are like this; First, the otter boards of ${\lambda}=1.0$ showed the longest spread distance, and the ${\lambda}=0.5$ showed the shorted spread distance. Second, the otter boards of ${\lambda}=1.0$ and 1.5 showed the upright at the towing speed of 4k't, but the one of ${\lambda}=0.5$ heeled outside. Third, the yawing angles of three otter boards were similar after 100 seconds with the small oscillation. Fourth, it was revealed that the net height and width are affected by the characteristics of otter boards such as the lift coefficient.

재해정보를 고려한 태양광발전시설의 취약성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vulnerability Assessment of Solar Power Generation Facilities Considering Disaster Information)

  • 본 연구는 재해영향을 고려한 태양광발전시설의 평가 방법을 개발하고, 기존 시설의 취약성 분석을 목적으로 한다. 기존 시설의 재평가가 시급한 전라남도 해남군을 연구 대상지로 선정하였으며, 보다 객관적인 관점에서 취약성을 평가할 수 있도록 주성분 분석과 엔트로피 기법을 연구 방법으로 활용하여 대상지의 취약성을 평가하였다. 취약성 평가지표는 시간당 최대 일강수량, 최대풍속, 태풍 발생일수, 지속기간 5일 이상 강수일수, 1일 최대 일강수량, 불투수 면적비, 인구밀도 등 7개가 선정되었으며, 시간당 최대 일강수량, 최대풍속, 1일 최대 일강수량, 지속기간 5일 이상 강수일수 순으로 높은 가중치가 도출되었다. 도출된 가중치를 중첩한 결과 해남군 지역별로는 해남읍, 북일면 등 남동지역은 1, 2등급이, 화원면, 산이면, 문내면 등 북쪽 지역의 경우 4, 5등급이 분포하며 취약성의 차이를 보였으며, 시설별로는 2,133개 시설 중 3등급 이상 시설이 91.1%로 양호한 편이나 2등급보다 1등급의 시설 개수가 많아 이에 대한 대책이 필요한 상황으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 도시방재력을 고려하여 태양광발전시설을 평가하였다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 향후 시설 설치 시 또는 기존 시설의 관리 및 운영 시 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Optimization of the Propeller Steady Performance Behind Wake Field

  • With the sharp increase of the oil price, the issue of the energy saving requires even higher propulsive efficiency of the propellers. Traditionally the propellers have been designed with the criteria such as that of Lerbs optimum based on the lifting line theory and the empirical formulae of Lerbs and van Manen giving relations of the wake pitch with the wake non-uniformity. With the aid of the high speed computer, it is now possible to apply the time-consuming iterative approaches for the solution of the lifting surface problems. In this paper we formulate the variational problem to optimize the efficiency of the propeller operating in the given ship wake using the lifting surface method. The variational formulation relating the spanwise circulation distribution with the propulsive efficiency to be maximized is however non-linear in circulation distribution functions, thus the iterative method is applied to the quasi-linearized equations. The blade shape design also requires the iterative procedures, because the shape of the blade which is represented by the lifting surface is unknown a priori. The numerical code was validated with the DTNSRDC propeller 4119 which is well-known to be optimum in uniform inflow condition. In addition existing (well-designed) commercial propellers were selected and compared with the results of the open water tests and the self-propulsion tests.

정수 선형 프로그래밍을 이용한 혼합 가산기 구조의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design for Heterogeneous Adder Organization Using Integer Linear Programming)

  • 비용 효과가 좋은 디지털 시스템을 설계하기 위하여, 트랜지스터 수준부터 RTL 수준까지 최적화를 위한 다양한 설계 방법이 연구되어 왔다. 가산기는 디지털 시스템에서 가장 기본적인 산술연산을 수행하는 필수 회로로서, 전체 시스템의 성능에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 최적의 가산기를 설계하기 위하여 상위수준에서 연구하였다. 결과로 혼합 가산기 구조를 제안하고 이를 정수 선형 프로그래밍(ILP: integer liner programming)을 이용해 수학적으로 모델링한다. 혼합 가산기 구조는 다양한 캐리 전달 방식을 가진 가산기 블록을 선형적으로 연결한 구조로서, 사용된 가산기 블록의 종류와 개수에 따라 다양한 가산기 조합이 발생한다. 이러한 조합에 의해 확장된 가산기의 설계공간을 탐색함으로써, 단일 타입의 가산기만을 고려한 것보다 나은 최적의 가산기를 설계할 수 있다. 제안한 혼합 가산기 구조와 ILP를 이용한 최적화 기법은 연산시간과 회로면적 등의 특성이 다른 가산기 IP(intellectual property)들을 비트 수준에서 재합성하기 때문에, 보다 미세한 수준에서 최적화를 수행할 수 있다.

열가소성 폴리올레핀으로 구성된 범퍼 후방 보 개발에 관한 연구 (Investigation of Development of Bumper Back-Beam Using a Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

  • Recently, the application of the plastic material to automotive components and structures has steadily increased to satisfy demands on the saving of overall weight and the improvement of energy efficiency. The objective of this paper is to investigate the development of a bumper back-beam using a thermoplastic olefin (TPO). The bumper back-beam was designed to be manufactured from the injection molding process. In order to obtain a proper design of the bumper back-beam, three-dimensional finite element analyses were performed for various design alternatives. Stress-strain curves for different strain rates were measured by high speed tensile tests of the TPO to consider strain rate effects in the FEA. The influence of the sectional shape and the rib formation on the contact force-intrusion curves, the deflection and the energy absorption rate of the bumper back-beam was examined. From the results of the examination, a proper design of the bumper back-beam was acquired. The bumper back-beam consisting of TPO was fabricated from the injection moulding process and the vibration welding. Pendulum crash tests were carried out using the fabricated bumper back-beam. The results of the tests showed that the designed bumper back-beam can satisfy requirements of the federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS). Through the comparison of the previously designed bumper back-beam with the newly designed bumper back beam, it was noted that the weight of the designed bumper back-beam is lighter than that of the previously designed bumper back beam by nearly 16 %. In addition, it was considered that the newly designed bumper back beam can improve recycling of the bumper back-beam.

The effect of applying a head-weight device on cervical angle and pain of neck muscles

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to measure the change in pain threshold of levator scapular muscle, carniovertebral angle, and head position angle when applying a head-weight device on healthy adult. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: This study was conducted with 21 healthy adult male and female who voluntarily agreed to participate in this study after being informed of the purpose and method of this study. After measuring the cervical angle and pain threshold of levator scapular muscle, subject was instructed to walk for 5 minutes on a treadmill at a speed of less than 5 km/h while wearing after wearing head-weight device of 0.5 kg. Then, cervical spine angle and pain threshold of levator scapula muscle were re-measured. Measurement of cervical spine angle was conducted with photo by using the Bluebeam Revu software and the pain pressure thresholds (PPTs) were measured using an electronic algometer over potential trigger points on the body. Results: The results cervical angle showed a significant change, from $49.62^{\circ}$ to $52.10^{\circ}$ (p<0.05). PPT showed a significant change, from 30.71 to 36.89 (p<0.05). Conclusions: These findings suggest that applying head-weight device has a positive influence on increasing cervical angle and reducing pain when applied as a therapeutic intervention method of forward head posture.

  • 통신시스템에서 데이터 전송이 고속으로 이루어지면서, 하드웨어의 복잡성, 전력소모, 가격 등의 이유로 클럭을 제외한 데이터만 수신단으로 보내는 방식이 사용되어지고 있다. 따라서, 고속으로 수신된 데이터에서 클럭 신호를 추출하는 것이 필요하며, 추출된 클럭을 이용하여 데이터를 복원하는 클럭/데이터 복원회로(CDR)에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 0.18um CMOS 공정을 이용하여 10Gbps CDR 회로를 설계하였다. 전력소모와 회로의 복잡도를 줄이기 위해 quarter-rate bang-bang 유형의 위상 검출기를 사용하였으며, 지터 특성 향상을 위해 LC 유형의 4단 VCO를 사용하였다. 모의실험 결과, 설계된 CDR 회로는 1.8V 전원전압에서 80mW의 전력을 소모하며, 2.2ps,pp의 클럭 지터 특성을 보인다. 패드를 제외한 칩 레이아웃 면적은 1.26mm$\times$1.05mm이다.

자기포화를 이용한 강자성체의 와전류검사장비 개발 (Development of Eddy Current Testing System using Magnetic Saturation in ferromagnetic Materials)

  • 플랜트, 산업용 설비로서 사용되어지고 있는 강관의 결함 검출을 위한 와전류검사장비를 개발하였다. 강관은 내부 불균일 한 전자기적 특성을 포함하고 있는 자성체로서 와전류검사의 응답신호를 왜곡시키므로 이러한 전자기적 특성의 균일화를 위해 자기포화가 요구된다. 자기포화가 없을 경우 결함신호는 잡음신호와 구별되지 않았으나 약 0.62A의 전류가 코일에 가해졌을 때 자기포화되어 결함을 검출 할 수 있었다 자기포화형 탐촉자는 헬름홀츠 코일을 적용하여 제작하였고 내부 대역 통과필터를 이용하여 직류자기장으로 야기되는 잡음신호를 최소화하였다. 개발된 장비를 이용한 현장실험 결과 1m/sec의 이송속도에서 관통홀$({\phi}=2.0mm)$ 결함을 정확히 검출 할 수 있었다.

Spectral Fatigue Analysis for Topside Structure of Offshore Floating Vessel

  • In this study, a spectral fatigue analysis was performed for the topside structure of an offshore floating vessel. The topside structure was idealized using beam elements in the SACS program. The fatigue analysis was carried out considering the wave and wind loads separately. For the wave-induced fatigue damage calculation, motion RAOs calculated from a direct wave load analysis and regular waves with different periods and unit wave heights were utilized. Then, the member end force transfer functions were generated covering all the loading conditions. Stress response transfer functions at each joint were produced using the specified SCFs and member end force transfer functions. fatigue damages were calculated using the obtained stress ranges, S-N curve, wave spectrum, heading probability of each loading condition, and their corresponding occurrences in the wave scatter diagrams. For the wind induced fatigue damage calculation, a dynamic wind spectral fatigue analysis was performed. First, a dynamic natural frequency analysis was performed to generate the structural dynamic characteristics, including the eigenvalues (natural frequencies), eigenvectors (mode shapes), and mass matrix. To adequately represent the dynamic characteristic of the structure, the number of modes was appropriately determined in the lateral direction. Second, a wind spectral fatigue analysis was performed using the mode shapes and mass data obtained from the previous results. In this analysis, the Weibull distribution of the wind speed occurrence, occurrence probability in each direction, damping coefficient, S-N curves, and SCF of each joint were defined and used. In particular, the wind fatigue damages were calculated under the assumption that the stress ranges followed a Rayleigh distribution. The total fatigue damages were calculated from the combination with wind and wave fatigue damages according to the DNV rule.
