Design and Control of Levitation and Guidance Systems for a Semi-High-Speed Maglev Train

  • Research on Maglev (Magnetic Levitation) train is currently being conducted in Korea, concerning Urban Transit (110 km/h of maximum speed), semi-high-speed (200 km/h of maximum speed), and high-speed (550 km/h of maximum speed) trains. This paper presents a research study on the levitation and guidance systems for the Korean semi-high-speed maglev train. A levitation electromagnet was designed, and the need for a separate guidance system was analyzed. A guidance electromagnet to control the lateral displacement of the train and ensure its stable operation was then also designed, and its characteristics were analyzed. The dynamic performance of the designed levitation and guidance electromagnets was modeled and analyzed, using a linearized modeling of the system equations of motion. Lastly, a test setup was prepared, including manufactured prototypes of the designed system, and the validity of the design was verified and examined with performance evaluation tests.

  • 본 논문은 선박의 자동항법 시스템에서 주요한 부분인 항로추종 유도 기법을 다루고 있다. 특히, 웨이포인트(way-point)기반, 인클로져(enclosure)기반, 룩어헤드(lookahead)기반의 항로추종 유도기법의 성능에 관해 살펴본다. 아울러 본 논문에서는 항로추종 시 선박의 조타제어를 위해 PID제어 시스템이 적용된다. 최종적으로 3가지 유도기법의 성능은 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 평가된다.

강한 역류가 발생했을 때 추적 유도법칙과 비선형 유도법칙을 활용한 무인잠수정의 후진 경로 추종 (Backward Path Following Using Pure Pursuit Guidance and Nonlinear Guidance for UUV under Strong Current)

  • A UUV needs to have a robust path following performance because of unpredicted current disturbances. Because the desired path of a UUV is usually designed by considering the locations of obstacles or geographical features of the operation region, the UUV should stay on the desired path to avoid damage or loss of the vehicle. However, conventional path following methods cannot deal with strong countercurrent disturbances. Thus, the UUV may deviate from the desired path. In order to avoid such deviation, a backward path following method is suggested. This paper proposes a path following method that combines pure pursuit guidance and nonlinear guidance for the UUV under an unpredicted strong ocean current. For a stable path following system, this paper suggests that the UUV adjust its heading to the current direction using the pure pursuit guidance method when the system is in an unstable region, or the UUV follows the desired path with nonlinear guidance. By combining the pure pursuit guidance and nonlinear guidance, it was possible to overcome the drawbacks of each path following method in the reverse path following case. The efficiency of the proposed method is shown through simulation results compared to those of the pure pursuit method and nonlinear guidance method.

  • 본 논문에서는 웹을 통하여 탈놀이에 관한 멀티미디어 정보를 제공하는 에이전트 기반의 탈놀이안내 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 사용자가 요구사항을 입력하면 클라이언트는 서버에게 이를 전송하고, 서버는 입력된 조건을 만족하는 탈놀이의 동영상 및 안내음성을 웹을 통하여 클라이언트에게 전송하여 상영한다. 본 논문에서는 에이전트 기반의 안내 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 인터페이스 에이전트, 사용자 모델링 에이전트, 중재 에이전트, 자료관리 에이전트를 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한 개발한 탈놀이 안내 시스템은 멀티미디어 데이터를 생성하는 기본기능 외에도 키워드를 이용한 검색 학습 등의 다양한 기능을 제공한다.

  • Recently, electric power demands tend to be increased continuously. In this situation, current states of power systems must be definitely recognized to operate power systems stably and economically. Also, corrective actions must be performed for the violation of bus voltage and line overload. It is desirable that the situations of violation are promptly removed to operate power systems effectively. This paper deals with the development of guidance system for voltage and overload correction on base case using Generator-Voltage Sensitivity List(GVSL) and Generator Shifter Factor List(GSFL). Also, to show the superiority and economical efficiency of the proposed application, we applied the proposed guidance system to the Kwangyang Steel Works' Power Systems.

항공항법지도와 항공사진 촬영안내 시스템의 개발 (The Development of Aerial Navigation Map and Aerial Photographic Guidance System)

  • 지도제작을 목적으로 하는 항공사진 촬영은 지상에 표시되지 않은 촬영노선을 따라 항공기를 운행하며 수행해야 하는 어려운 작업이다. 본 연구는 이러한 항공사진 촬영작업을 보다 용이하게 하도록 하기 위한 항공사진 촬영안내 시스템의 개발을 목적으로 하여 수행되었다. 촬영안내 시스템은 조종사가 필요로 하는 다양한 지도정보를 빠르고 효율적으로 제시해야 함으로 먼저 지형판독을 위한 지형도 정보와 안전운행을 위한 항로지도 정보를 제공하는 항공항법지도(aerial navigation map)를 개발하였으며, 그 다음 항공항법지도를 배경지도로 하는 촬영안내시스템을 개발하였다. 본 연구의 결과 개발된 시스템은 비행하는 항공기의 위치를 기준으로 하여 다양한 지도정보를 빠른 시간 안에 검색하여 표시해 주고 항공사진 촬영안내 기능까지 효율적으로 수행할 수 있음을 입증하였다.

센서융합을 이용한 AGV의 라인 트레킹 방법 (Line Tracking Method of AGV using Sensor Fusion)

  • 본 논문은 AGV(autonomous guided vehicle)의 센서융합을 통한 위치측정(localization)과 라인 트레킹(line tracking) 방법인 AGV의 유도 시스템(guidance system)에 관한 연구이다. 기존에 AGV는 유도 되어진 선만을 주행 가능한 시스템이었고, 그러한 유도 시스템에 대표적인 방법으로는 자기-자이로 유도(magnet-gyro guidance) 방식과 유선 유도(wire guidance) 방식이 있었다. 하지만 이들은 설치 및 유지보수에 대한 비용이 높고, 작업 환경의 변화에 따른 시스템의 변경이 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 레이저 내비게이션과 자이로, 엔코더를 함께 이용하여 외란에 강인하고 작업 환경 및 작업의 내용에 따른 주행 경로 변경이 유연한 위치측정 시스템을 구현하였다. 또한 유도선이 없는 레이저 내비게이션의 라인 트레킹을 위해서 프로그램 상에 가상의 유도선을 설정하고, 경유 노드를 생성하여 AGV와 노드 사이의 각도 차를 바탕으로 주행 제어기(driving controller)를 설계하였다. 실험은 직접 제작한 AGV를 이용하였으며, 동일한 작업공간에서 반복적으로 라인 트래킹 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과, 설정된 주행선의 경로와 실제 AGV 사이의 최대 오차가 49.93mm 이내였으며, 제안한 시스템이 AGV의 라인 트레킹에 효율적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

측방유도형태 및 저작습관이 저작근 활성도 및 교합접촉에 미치는 영향 (EFECTS OF LATERAL GUIDANCE AND CHEWING PATTERN ON MASTICATORY MUSCLE ACTIVITY AND OCCLUSAL CONTACT)

  • This study was performed to investigate the influence of lateral guidance pattern and chewing pattern on masticatory muscle activity and occlusal contact pattern. Twenty-five patients with temporomandibular disorders and thirty students without temporomandibular disorders were selected for this study. Electromyographic examination and occlusal contact examination were performed simultaneously with Bio-Pak System (Bioresearch Inc.,U.S.A.) and T-Scan System(Tekscan Co., USA). The obtained results were as follows : 1. The EMG activity of masseter and anterior temporal muscle in patient group with canine guidance was higher than with non-canine guidance. but there was no significant difference (p>0.05). 2. The EMG activity of anterior temporal muscle in normal group with non-canine guidance was higher at preferred chewing side than at opposite side (p<0.05). 3. The EMG activity of masseter muscle was higher in normal group than in patient group (p<0.05). 4. The number of occlusal contact in patient group with canine guidance was higher than with non-canine guidance, but there was no significant difference (p>0.05). 5. The occlusal contact force at preferred chewing side was higher in patient group than in normal group(p<0.05).

의과대학생의 졸업 후 전공선택을 위한 진로지도 (Career Guidance to Help Medical School Students Choose a Specialty after Graduation)

  • The author recommends the creation of a nationwide career guidance program at the national level through the establishment of a long-term cohort, involving collaboration among medical schools nationwide. This cohort would be constructed for the purpose of analyzing correlations from admission to medical school to post-graduate education, facilitating the development of a career guidance program. This will aid in career development through students' self-analysis and competency building. Each medical school should operate a systematic career guidance program. Career guidance for post-graduate major selection should be included in the regular curriculum. Schools are advised to operate student counseling rooms for various career guidance services. For example, medical schools can operate 1:1 career counseling, academic counseling, career guidance surveys, psychological tests, and counseling. It is advisable to establish a mentor-professor system, connect mentor professors, and build a network of experts related to majors to provide immediate support according to students' needs. Professional mentor training should be provided to mentor professors. To provide opportunities for students to experience their career paths in advance, early clinical exposure, long-term integrated clinical practice, community-based clinical practice, participation in student research programs, career fairs, and student internship programs are recommended. In South Korea, it is necessary to systematically operate the internship system and make improvements to facilitate optical career choices. Additionally, considering the significant influence of social factors on students' career choices in South Korea, efforts should be made to identify and address the issues related to these social factors.

재해예방 기술지도의 문제점과 개선방안에 관한 연구 (건설 재해를 중심으로) (A Study on Problems and Improvement of Disaster Prevention Technology Guidance(Focused on construction disaster))

  • Recently, industrial accidents rate has been gradually decreasing due to the development of safety management methods, but until now, the accident rate in the construction sector is higher than other industries. Large-scale construction sites are operating systematic safety systems to reduce industrial accidents. However, small and medium sized construction sites do not have systematic safety system and lack safety management ability, so that disaster is not reduced compared with large scale construction site. As a result, disaster prevention technology instruction system has been implemented to reduce the disasters of small and medium scale construction sites. However, in the case of a small construction site less than 2 billion won, there is little decrease in the accident rate, and in some cases, the accident rate increases. After the technical guidance system has been implemented, it is necessary to identify the performance and problems of implementation and to improve its effectiveness. In this study, we suggest the improvement plan to improve the efficiency of the technical guidance system by analyzing the problems and actual conditions of technical guidance operation in small and medium sized construction work sites.
